.
.
“Isn’t that Lampas logo? Why are we heading to the hospital exclusively for psyker?” Driver asked cautiously.

“Huh? They don’t tell you?” Cassian raised an eyebrow. “The boys you helped are psyker cadets, they’re my students.”

“Huh? Didn’t they call you teacher? If they’re cadets that means…”

Cassian smiled. “That’s right. I’m a psyker. S-rank psyker, Cassian Lee.”

Oh, fuck. 'I won't die here, right?'

Chapter Text

“JUST WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO, RAUL???” A boy who looked like in his teenage years was shouting while running with all his might. His black suit that was adorned with a blue stripe was flapping uncontrollably from his fast movement.

“I just did as I was told.” Come an answer from his side. Another boy with the same age as him. The difference is that the black-haired boy was slightly taller than the blue-haired boy. He’s in the same condition as his friend, they’re running as if chased by something.

And as if screaming that the reason why they were running was because they were being chased by someone, some people in strange clothing followed not far from them. Each of those people has their weapons and abilities activated, ready to strike at the moment the boys show them their weaknesses.

“You did as being told?” The blue-haired boy stopped for a moment and sent water particles to their pursuer. Some of them let out a loud scream and fell, while the rest successfully evaded and sent counterattacks their way. “Shit.” The boy cursed out and jumped to the side.

“Can’t you just focus on running?” The dark-haired boy asked.

The blue-haired boy turned his head and frowned. “Then, what? If we keep running like this they will catch us in no time. My stamina is almost at rock bottom.” True to his words, his breathing was becoming hard and uneven. It seems difficult for him to keep running like this.

The black-haired boy didn’t say anything for a moment. He too, was starting to have difficulties in breathing. If they keep running, it will take no time for their stamina to be depleted and get caught. But if they choose to fight, their power has already hit rock bottom. Either way, it was their disadvantage. “Ugh.” When he let out a grunt full of frustration, his friend was screaming because of different reasons. “Huh? There! Move!” The blue-haired boy tried to warn someone who was standing right in their way.

“Hm?” The person who was being shouted at by the blue-haired boy looked at the side in confusion. Then, a look of surprise appeared on his face. It was only for a moment thought, he cooled his expression in a second. “Junior high school students? And being chased by a lot of people at that?” He tilted his head in confusion.

The blue-haired boy keeps screaming at him to move. But, Driver, the name of the man who stood still in the middle of the road, didn’t have any intention to move. Instead, he observed the two boys and their pursuer. With just a glance, Driver knows that the two will collapse in no time. They must have run for a long time.

“Do you need help?” That’s why, instead of following the blue-haired boy’s words, Driver shouted back.

“—?!” Even if he can’t hear him, Driver can tell from his expression that the boy is surprised.

“Crow, let’s talk again later. There are some children who get into serious trouble. Yes. No need to worry. I’ll tell you when I’m going back to Korea. Alright. Later.” After ending the phone call, Driver put his phone into his inner pocket.

Then, without waiting for the boy’s response, Driver sprints forward. He passed by the boys who looked at him with wide eyes. They tried to stop him, but Driver acted like he couldn’t hear them and continued to move toward the boys’ pursuer. He stretched his hand to summon his giant screwdriver out of habit, forgetting that he should act as a civilian here. “Ah.” Fortunately, he stopped himself before his weapon was summoned out of thin air. “I almost announced to that bastard that I’m here.” His eyes scanned the people in strange costumes in front of him. With just a glance he knew that each of them was a villain. “What’s this? Did this country’s villain always go after high schoolers? Don’t you have any pride as villains?” He blurted out a question with a raised brow.

“What did you say?!” Instead of answering his question, the villains in front of him pointed their weapons and abilities toward Driver.

“Heh. It would have been better if you used those abilities to commit crimes rather than ganging up on children.”

After saying that, Driver dashed faster and kicked one of the villains. The kicked villain flew backwards and only stopped after he bumped into another villain. In an instant, two villains are down. “Heh. You are weak.”

Driver’s mockery makes the villains in front of him angrier. “We can catch those brats later. Let’s kill him first!” One of them shouted and brandished his large axe toward Driver.

Driver evaded the attack skillfully, he even sent other kicks and punches here and there. One by one the villain in front of him fell.

When Driver was busy fighting against a lot of villains by himself, the two boys who received his help were staring at him from afar. The blue-haired boy was going to go after Driver and help him, but his friend stopped him. “Stay. We will only be a burden if we go there.”

“But, Raul, he helps us! We can’t let him die!”

“I know, Rick. But remember what teacher said? Our power is still weak. No matter how heated the fight, we should always have cool heads and not jump into dangerous situations thoughtlessly. Besides, look.” Raul, the black-haired boy, pointed at Driver who was busy fighting with the villains that chased them. “He doesn’t need our help.”

“…” Rick went silent. Raul was right, Driver didn’t need their help. On the contrary, if he forced himself to help, he would only be a burden. “Huh. You’re right.” He dropped his tired body to sit on the ground. His tense shoulder lost its strength and he sighed in relief. “I’m tired.” He pushed his back to lie down with his gaze staring at the clear blue sky. After all that running, Rick can feel that his body has lost all its energy.

“Me too.” Beside him, Raul was sitting with his back leaning on the wall.

They waited at that place until Driver was done with all the villains. They saw him kicked and punched each of them. And when he’s done, Driver walks toward the two of them with a calm smile. “Are you okay, kids?”

Both Rick and Raul looked at Driver in amazement. “You’re so strong. How can you fight all those villains by yourself? Are you a psyker?” Rick asked.

At that question, Driver blinked. “Huh? I—” What should he say? There’s no way he can say that he’s also a villain, after all he did to beat up the villains that were after the kids in front of him. If he said he’s the same as them, there’s a huge chance that the boys will run away or worse try to fight him. “I—mmm… Maybe?”

His vague answer makes both Rick and Raul stare at him in confusion. “What do you mean?”

“That’s…”—Fuck. What should I say?

Fortunately for Driver, his luck is really good today. From behind, he can hear someone’s voice calling loudly to the two of them.

“Raul! Rick!”

Instantly, Driver and the kids looked in the direction where the voice was coming. “Teacher!” The two kids called him back and jumped up to run to their ‘teacher’.

“You guys… What do you think you’re doing, huh?! Who told you to pick this mission? It was an A-rank mission for psyker, not for you cadets!”

Right after he arrives in front of them, the teacher nags at them. The two boys who were trying to defend themselves went silent on the barrage of their teacher’s words. Behind them, Driver could only look at them in silence. The boys’ teacher nagging left no room for Driver to butt in. So, he could only wait.

After a while, the boys’ teacher stopped his nagging and turned to look at the stranger who stood behind his students. “Huh? Who are you?” When those black and gold pupils stared at Driver, the villain gave him his polite smile.

“Hello, I’m just a passerby who accidentally saw them being chased by those villains.” He pointed at the villains who were unconscious and lying carelessly on the ground.

“Teacher, he helped us. Don’t nag at him!” Worried that his teacher would scold their helper, Raul opened his mouth to explain why Driver was there.

“Ah. Is that so?” The teacher was not completely convinced. His eyes keep darting back and forth between the fallen villains and Driver who maintains his polite smile. “Then, we can’t just send you away without paying you back. Do you mind following us for now? I can’t let my students’ benefactor leave without receiving anything.”

Behind his glasses, Driver blinked, quite shocked by this. “It’s okay. I don’t help them to receive compensation. Also, I need to get going now.”

“Eh, don’t be like that.” Without warning, the kids’ teacher held Driver’s wrist. He didn’t put much strength on his hand, Driver could free himself easily if he wanted to. However, he didn’t do that and stared at the teacher’s eyes and his wrist alternately. “Oh. I’m sorry!” The teacher quickly let go of his hand as if surprised by his own action. “I reflexively do that. I’m sorry.” He bowed his head.

Driver was flustered. He never encountered something like this before. Well, that’s understandable, the people around him are either villains or his employees. “Its-it’s okay. Don’t worry too much.”

“Still, I want to give you compensation, both for helping my student and as my apologies. If you feel burdened, how about I treat you to a meal? I know a good place with delicious food. Please?”

“…” Another refusal was already sitting on his throat and ready to be spit out. But… sigh. “Alright. I think it will be fine if it’s only a meal.”

The teacher smiled widely, satisfied. “Good. Let’s go, we also need to send those two to the hospital.”

“What?!” A surprise yelp comes from the two boys.

“What?” The teacher asked back. He shoots them a glare and they immediately shut up and follow him to the hospital. Driver only followed suit with a smile on his face, both polite and amused.

They went to the hospital using the teacher’s, Cassian’s, car. When they almost arrived at the hospital, Driver was almost having a heart attack from the scenery in front of him. As expected, it was no ordinary hospital from the huge garden on the way to the hospital. The unexpected thing is, a huge Lampas logo positioned right in the middle of the building. As you know, Lampas is the psyker organization that fought against villains. And here, Driver himself is a villain. So, why is Lampas logo attached to the hospital building???

“Isn’t that Lampas logo? Why are we heading to the hospital exclusively for psyker?” Driver asked cautiously.

“Huh? They don’t tell you?” Cassian raised an eyebrow. “The boys you helped are psyker cadets, they’re my students.”

“Huh? Didn’t they call you teacher? If they’re cadets that means…”

Cassian smiled. “That’s right. I’m a psyker. S-rank psyker, Cassian Lee.”

Oh, fuck. Driver bites back a curse. Damn. He’s fucked. I’m fucked. “Woah! It’s my first time meeting an S-rank psyker!” He tried his best to sound excited. He’s so glad he wore glasses, if not, Cassian will suspect him because his eyes are shaking now.

Cassian laughed and said something, but Driver couldn’t hear him already. As in autopilot, he kept the smile to not fade and tried to calm his frantic heart. He needs to stay calm. Even if he’s going to walk inside the tiger’s den with his own legs, he can’t show any suspicious action. He’s just a civilian here.

Following Cassian and the boys from behind, Driver looked around the hospital as if this was his first time inside Lampas hospital. Well, technically, it’s his first time and maybe also his last.

Although he tried his best to not look nervous, his heart was beating like crazy. His eyes darted here and there, looking at each person inside the waiting room without gaining suspicion. Among many psykers he didn’t know, he recognized some of them, one of them was an A-rank psyker that was gaining a lot of popularity recently. Driver forgot her name, but he was sure that her power had something with lightning. Except for her, he also recognized other A-rank and even an S-rank psyker.

‘Haha, I won’t die here, right?’ His eyes kept eyeing the hospital door. If something unexpected happens, Driver won’t think of anything and escape. But for now, he will keep waiting.

Cassian told him to wait in the waiting room when Cassian brought the kids to meet the doctor. He waited for approximately 10 minutes before he saw Cassian walking towards him without the kids.

“Did you wait long?” Cassian asked.

Driver smiles. “No, it’s okay. How’s the kids?”

“Fortunately, they don’t have any serious injuries. The doctor told them to rest for a few days then they were as healthy as before.” Hearing Cassian’s explanation, Driver nodded. “That’s fortunate.”

They walked back to Cassian’s car. Cassian drove them out of the hospital area. It only takes a short time for them to stop again, now, in front of a restaurant with simple and plain architecture. For the third time, Driver followed behind Cassian. Cassian told him that this restaurant is his regular place to eat, the food is delicious, the space is spacious, and the place is seldom boisterous, so he likes to spend his break here.

When the two of them sat on the chair, Cassian told Driver to order anything he wants. “Are you sure?”

Driver’s question makes Cassian laugh. “Of course. S-rank psyker salary is by no means small. You can order anything, I will pay for it.”

‘Right, I almost forgot.’ The one in front of Driver right now is a S-rank psyker. His power must be comparable to his or even stronger. If he’s in perfect condition, Driver was confident that he can take Cassian head-on. But after his fight with Moran, he can’t take the risk. “If you insist,” Driver accepted Cassian’s offer with a happy smile. ‘When else can a villain get treated for a meal by a psyker? S-rank psyker at that.’ Therefore, Driver won’t throw away this rare opportunity.

When the food arrived, “Wow, crazy. The food is really delicious,” he couldn’t help but let out admiration.

“Right?” Cassian looked so proud because his students’ helper liked the food. Not only that, but because the restaurant was empty at this hour, they could spend time talking to each other comfortably.

On the other hand, Driver was thinking of visiting this place again. ‘Maybe, I should bring Crow and Red Eye here later. They will surely like this taste.’ He even thought about bringing Crow and Red Eye here. Unfortunately, his plan was shattered when he turned his eyes to look outside. Again, it seemed that his heart was going to stop. “Is that… Lampas?”

Upon hearing his question, Cassian followed Driver’s gaze. Then, he nodded. “That’s right, that’s Lampas HQ in Washington. I work there and the kids you saved also going to work there in the future.”

“Ah, is that so,” Driver nodded. He kept his gaze on Lampas building.

“Oh, right. The psyker there also usually goes here for lunch. So, I think this place will be a bit packed in a bit.”

“…What?”

What did he just say?

“The psyker… will have lunch here?”

“Yes.”

Fuck.

“Wow, I can’t wait to meet them.” Driver was doing his best to keep his smile. He can feel the corner of his mouth twitching. However, even if outside he’s smiling and chatting in a bright atmosphere, on the inside he's cursing the heaven and above for his bad luck.

And as if the bad luck he got wasn’t enough, the gear in his mind was forcibly moved to search for an answer to Cassian’s next question.

“Oh, right. I forgot to ask this, how did you fight so well? Did you learn martial arts or something?”

Ah. ‘And here I thought you would never ask,’ thought Driver to himself. “You’re right. I’d learn martial arts. Because I live alone now, my family insisted on me learning martial arts to protect myself.”

Cassian nodded. “So, my guess is correct. You’re pretty skilled, why don’t you try becoming a psyker? With your ability, you will be able to become one in no time.”

‘What? Are you for real? Asking a villain to become a psyker?’ Driver swallows down the laugh that’s creeping up inside his throat. Remember. No one should know he’s a villain here. Now, he’s only an ordinary civilian.

“Hahaha. How can a civilian become a psyker? I have no special ability and the only thing I can do is my fighting skill. There’s no way I can become a psyker.”

At his retort, Cassian nodded his head. “It’s unfortunate but you’re right.”

Their table was in silence for a moment, then, suddenly the news on the TV caught Cassian’s attention. “Hm? Moran?” At that name, even Driver’s attention was focused on the TV. The news on the TV was about the fight between Moran and Gadam Vilzone's boss, Driver.

“What? Moran’s opponent is still alive?”

“Hm?” Cassian’s comment makes Driver stop drinking his juice. “Is that… surprising?”

Cassian turns his head to stare at Driver. “Of course, it’s surprising. Moran’s notoriousness was famous even in this country. He has killed many people, either civilians, psykers, or even his fellow villains. He’s cruel and famous for having no tears or blood. Heh. That popularity of his makes me want to fight him even more. Trash like him needs to be burned alive to soothe his victim’s spirit.”

“Ah… is that so.” Driver didn’t know how to respond.

“Also, he’s incredibly strong. Any news of his fight always resulted in the death of his opponent. But now, his opponent survived?” Cassian scoffed. The yellow shade in his eyes shone brighter. “Just how strong is this Driver guy for him to be able to escape Moran?”

“…” Again, Driver went silent. Cassian kept talking about Moran and how he wanted to fight Driver now because he’d escaped from Moran. Sometimes, he nodded his head and sometimes he only smiled. What expression should he put on his face? Ah. Driver doesn’t know.

“Anyway, this Driver guy must have a lot of shit behind his name.”

“Yes?” What did he say? He has what?

“He’s a villain and his reputation is at rock bottom,” Cassian said with his eyes glued on his phone. It seems that he’s browsing about Driver.

“Ey, no way~ I have never heard any bad news from the villain named Driver~” He tried to clean up his name. Just what kind of article did Cassian read?

“In the article, it was said that he’s a murderer, thief, a madman.”

“What?!” Who the hell wrote that article? It was clearly an insult. Although he can’t say anything about the first and the second, at least he’s not a madman! “I’ve seen Driver in person one time and I can assure you, he’s not a madman.”

“…What?” Cassian was speechless.

“Driver, he’s not a madman. He’s kind, handsome, really smart, and his smile was so bright. He’s the most sane person in Gadam Vilzone.”

“…” Okay, Cassian was speechless for the second time. “Why are defending him this much? Did you like Driver? A villain?” He squinted up his eyes, clearly didn’t like the idea of a villain being idolized by a civilian.

Realizing that Cassian was suspicious, Driver quickly shakes his head. “Ahaha, no no no. Nothing like that~ It’s just unfair because the Driver I saw was clearly different from the Driver in the article you read.”

“Hm… Is that so?”

Fortunately, Cassian didn’t push further. He still badmouthing Driver thought and the owner of that name can’t do anything except smile.

‘Keep talking, Cass. After I’m done with Moran, you’re next.’

Yeah, even if he’s smiling, the inside was plotting revenge against the S-rank psyker in front of him.

They’re too busy with their own world that they don’t realise some people are walking towards them.

“Oh, yeah. I forgot to ask, what’s your name?”

“Huh? My name?” Cassian nodded. Driver went silent, should he give him his real name? or should he lie instead? Ugh, whatever. “My name is—”

“Oi, brat! I’ve been looking for you for decades. How are your students doing? Are they okay?” A man with blonde hair suddenly appeared and put his hand on Cassian’s head, ruffling his hair and making it even more messy.

“Jeff, you bastard. Stop ruffling my hair and don’t worry. Both kids are okay, they survive because someone helps them.” As if telling Jeff that the helper is here, Cassian is looking straight at Driver.

Again, Driver keeps his smile. He’s fortunate that this person named Jeff suddenly comes and interrupts their talk.

“You help Raul and Rick? Are you psyker?” Jeff asked, he showed Driver a friendly smile and it made Driver know that this person was really kind. Jeff then sat beside Cassian, beside him also sat a reddish-haired woman in a suit.

Driver shakes his head. “I’m not. I’m a civilian who was skilled in martial arts.”

“Is that so?” Jeff nodded. “Even if you’re not psyker, you’re so kind to help children you don’t even know. You're also so strong to be able to defeat all the villains that’s after those kids.” Although he phrases it like a compliment, Driver can see that Jeff is suspicious of him.

“Thank you.” But he didn’t have any intention to reveal who he was. So, he thanked him instead.

Although it seems that Jeff can’t trust him yet, he still gives him his friendly smile and tells Driver to eat. He ordered more food to their already full table. In the middle of their friendly talk, Driver almost choked himself when Cassian told him that both Jeff and Tuppence, the reddish-haired girl, are top-class psyker. With his heart pounding non-stop, Driver spouted sweet word after sweet word that it was an amazing experience for him to be able to meet three top-class psykers at one time. Both Cassian and Jeff laughed at that and Tuppence only nodded her head.

After spending their time eating and talking, Driver bid his farewell first. He told them that he had a scheduled meeting with his business partner. Cassian offered to drive him there, but Driver refused. He can’t trouble Cassian for something like this. That’s why he called a taxi and bid his farewell to Cassian, Jeff, and Tuppence in a happy atmosphere.

“Let’s meet again someday~” He even say that.

“Yeah, let’s meet again,” Cassian said.

Jeff nodded. “You’re right. I hope we will meet again.”

“Yes,” Tuppence said.

Until he sat in the passenger seat, Driver still wore his happy smile. But when he was already lost from their sight, he let out a sigh and erased the happy smile from his face. “Let’s never meet again. If we ever meet, it means we have become enemies.”

“Hahh,” Driver let out a long sigh. There’s no use in thinking about something that hasn’t happened yet. He pulled out his phone and dialled Crow’s number.

“Darling~ Why did you call again? Miss me already?”

“I’m going back to Korea now, do you want a souvenir? Can you ask the others too?”

“Souvenir? You will buy it for me? Aw~ I love you darling~ Don’t worry. I’ll ask them if they want a souvenir or not. I’ll call you later~”

“Yeah, later.”

Chapter Text

“Crow, he’s running toward you,” Driver said.

- Roger

Driver, Crow, and Red Eye were in the middle of catching a villain that was running rampant in Gadam. That villain was not part of Gadam Vilzone and his action has brought Gadam into chaos. The psykers that should be the ones dealing with him were being defeated one after another. Because there’s no hint that the ruckus caused by this stranger of a villain will quiet down soon, Driver took this matter into his own hands. Together with Crow and Red Eye, he was going to catch that villain and kick him out of Gadam.

And they’re close enough to catch that bastard now. The villain was running towards Crow, and with her ability, there’s no problem catching him. Not only that, Red Eye was also assisting from afar.

Driver picked up his pace and was going to shout a ‘good job’ to Crow when what he saw was not what he expected. Rather than seeing the villain apprehended by Crow, what he saw was Crow standing on guard with two strange men in front of her, the troublemaker villain was nowhere to be seen.

Upon seeing that, Driver stopped. There’s a few distance between them, but even from behind, those hairstyle and clothes that were uncommon makes Driver realize who they are.

‘Shit,’ Driver curses. ‘What are they doing here?’

After observing for a while, Driver had no choice but to come out of his hiding place. It seems that Crow and Cassian were ready to exchange a punch or two. He can’t let his precious teammates get injured over something like this, can he?

“Oh, wow, why don’t we talk calmly first, dear guests?” he said with a calm smile.

Cassian stopped his fist from flying and turned his head to look at the person that suddenly come. “Who are you?” Rather than asking calmly, he was ready to punch Driver.

“Oh ho~ I don’t mean any harm~ It was just that it seems that our psyker guests were misunderstanding something.” Driver lifted his hands to the air and looked at Cassian with a laidback smile. He was not happy to see him again, but it was not quite of an unpleasant feeling. Well, he was quite annoyed, honestly.

With an eyebrow lifted, Cassian asked. “Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding did we have?”

“From what I hear, it seems that both of you psykers were defending someone whom Crow try to catch. And it seems that both of you mistakenly think that that person is civilian.” Crow nodded at Driver’s words. She looked at Cassian with an annoyed expression. Well, Driver can understand her, she loves her crows so much and Cassian almost crushed one of them into pieces. So, it’s no wonder Crow was staring dagger at the man’s back.

Cassian looked at Driver with wide, shocked, eyes. “What? No way?” He was so sure that that person was a civilian. At least, he looks like one. “Shit.” He feels so stupid.

“Ah.” Beside him, Cassian hears Jeff sighing. Then, he looked at Driver, Crow, and Red Eye in the far distance apologetically. “I’m sorry. We thought that you’re going to harm a civilian.”

“Huu~” Crow sighed. “You psyker really need to think first before jumping to conclusion. Now, that troublemaker villain has gone to who-knows-where.”

While Jeff was apologizing once again, Cassian threw a suggestion because he was feeling guilty. “Ugh, I’m sorry I thought wrong about you guys. So, let us help you catch that bastard.”

At his words, Jeff looked at him instantly. “I know what you mean, but Cass, we need to gather in Lampas in 3 hours. How do we catch that villain in a short time?”

Driver nodded at Jeff’s words. “Well, although I’m happy with your suggestion, if you need to be somewhere else, so it’s okay. You don’t need to force yourself to help us. We just need to track him again.”

He said it’s okay, but the true meaning is that he was hoping Cassian and Jeff to just go on their way quickly. It won’t end well if Cassian knows his real identity.

Well, he can imagine it already. The moment Cassian know that it was him, he will try to burn him to a crisp. It will be interesting, but Driver was not in the mood to fight for fun right now. Who knows that he might actually kill him if they fought?

“We have accepted your apology. That’s why, it’s okay if you need to go,” Driver said with a smile.

Still, Cassian shook his head. “We can’t do that. We will compensate it by helping you guys,” he stopped for a moment. “…It was also as an apology because I thought you were the bad guys and going to catch you and throw you into the prison.”

“…” Driver was speechless. I knew it. He wants to scream that. There’s no way a psyker that hates villain as much as Cassian will have no thought of throwing them into the prison.

After another back and forth, finally, Driver agrees on Cassian and Jeff helping them catching the troublemaker villain. Driver and Jeff were discussing the strategy to catch that guy in a short time, while Cassian and Crow were listening seriously. After that, Driver tells Red Eye about their new strategy and instructs him to head to his designated place. When everyone dispersed to their own designated place, Driver uses his drone to search the villain’s whereabouts.

Just as expected, that villain was moving even more carefully than before. It took Driver quite a bit of time to find him. He kept his drone at a far distance and told Jeff about his whereabouts.

From his camera, he can see Jeff running toward the Villain, they’re going to meet at a crossroads. Of course, Driver also told him about that. Therefore, when they meet face to face, the villain was rolling of the ground because of Jeff’s power.

However, everything would have been very easy if that were the end. This villain is so freaking annoying that even Driver was also annoyed. That guy created smoke out of thin air and obstructed your view, but it’s okay, Jeff’s role is not to catch him. His role was to lead him to where Cassian and Crow had been waiting. From afar, Red Eye will occasionally release one of two arrows so the villain won’t stray to another place.

When Jeff and the villain almost arrived at where Cassian and Crow were, Driver also run forward. He needs to wait at his designated place. That guy is slippery like eel, so, there’s no he can get caught easily.

After he arrived at where the two had been waiting, the three of them tried to catch him. It was a success of course. Crow alone has almost succeeded in catching him before, so, it’s no wonder when two of the most powerful psykers in USA give a helping hand.

“Good job, everyone~” Driver clapped. They succeeded in catching this guy in just an hour. Now, Driver can go back to his workshop and focus on his project.

Cassian and Jeff nodded their heads and offered to take this villain to prison. Of course, Driver welcomes that suggestion with open arms. They tied the guy using rope and checked to make sure that he wouldn’t escape again.

When the two psykers were done tying the villain, Cassian extended his hand for a handshake. At that, Driver tilted his head in confusion.

“We will part ways. And now I know that not all villains are like this guy, so, just think of it as me being friendly.”

Driver wants to scoff, Cassian, being friendly to a villain? What a word. Anyway, he didn’t scoff and pulled the corners of his mouth to form a smile, a friendly one. “Of course~ It’s nice working together with you, psyker-ssi~”

After nodding, Cassian lifted the unconscious villain on his shoulder like a tomato sack. “Jeff, I’m going first. Need to drop this guy by the jail.” Jeff nodded and Cassian was going ready to run when he suddenly stopped and turned to look at Driver again. “I keep thinking about this since we first met, but you’re short. Too short. You’re a guy, right? Drink a lot of milk and exercise, you need to grow another 20 cm to look cool. Then, I’m going. Bye.”

After dropping a bomb like that, Cassian quickly ran with the villain on his shoulder. He never looked back.

Of course, he won’t. Because behind him, Driver was looking at him with a scary smile.

Should I kill that guy?

His mind was plotting a lot of scenarios about Cassian’s death. He’s confident he can hide Cassian’s body and won’t be found by anyone. Or he can create another scenario that his death is accidental. No one would know that a villain is the culprit behind his death.

However, before he could think further about it, a cough from his side brought Driver’s thought back onto the surface.

“Ah, right. I’m sorry I’m spacing out.”

Beside him, Jeff shakes his head and looks apologetic. “Oh no, it’s okay. It should be me who apologizes. I apologize for what Cassian said. Trust me, he didn’t have any bad intentions.”

Driver widens his smile. “Of course, don’t worry.” Though he still made a plan as to when, where, and how to kill and hide Cassian’s body.

“And…” Jeff extended his hand, he was smiling with his eyes closed. When Driver took his hand, he took a step forward and told him something in a very low voice. “I know we have met before. You’re the person who helped Cassian’s student, right?”

Driver smile froze for a moment. “…Oho?” This guy is really something else.

But, then, Jeff took a step back. “Don’t worry. Just as what Cassian said, not all villains are bad. I won’t tell anyone about your civilian form and I won’t tell Cassian that you’re a villain. You can visit us any time. Cassian has been talking a lot about you and the kids also want to say their gratitude.”

Driver wants to laugh aloud at that. What did this man say? Visit them? In Lampas HQ? With a big smile, Driver shook his head. “No, thank you. This place is more comfortable than there. Tell the kids that it’s okay. I just do what everyone will do.”

“Ahaha, I guess, you’re right. And as I thought, you’re a nice person. Well, then, I need to go now. Keep yourself safe and goodbye.”

Driver waves his hand with a big smile. Those psykers are finally gone from his peaceful life.

Crow walked slowly behind Driver. She looked at the place where Jeff disappeared. “Aw, they don’t catch us too?”

Driver lifted his eyebrow at that. “Why should they catch us? We don’t do anything.” Fortunately, it seems that Crow didn’t hear what he talked about with Jeff.

“Driver is right.” Red Eye agrees. He just got here after Cassian and Jeff left.

“We’re villains. Not to mention that it will be exciting to be locked up inside a prison just the two of us, darling~” She blows a kiss toward Driver.

“Ah,” It seems that Driver just caught her intention after she explained herself. “So, that’s your intention~ Well, if they’re gonna catch us because we’re villains, then, they will catch Red Eye too.”

“Huh? Why?” Crow pouted.

But Driver smiled. “Just like you said, he’s a villain too.” He pointed at Red Eye as if that was the obvious thing.

“Huh, you’re right. I can’t let that happen. So, the next time those pyskers come, why don’t we let them catch only us so we can stay in the prison together, darling? Just the two of us~”

Driver shakes his head. “Ey, we can’t do that. Everyone will go crazy if we got caught.”

“Huuh.”

Ignoring Crow that was sulking behind, Driver and Red Eye walked back to Gadam.
