Summary
Almost as if the atmosphere itself could sense the danger, the clouds had gathered, and wind howled in Vic’s ears. She hardly paid it any mind, because there was no deterring her from her goal. Vic had promised herself silence, and that was what she would get. The feeling of desperation coursed through her veins, reverberated in her very bones as Vic stood there, smiling as she looked at the water, the wind and rain soaking her thin, shivering frame. It was the first thing she’d felt in days.
