“God made man in His own image. The Devil made monsters from the depths of His odious soul”
The SSS (Special Supernatural Squad) was founded in 1915, 5 years after the Speedwagon Foundation itself. The subsidiary company focused solely on supernatural-related crimes and research. It's with the help of the SSS and the Speedwagon Foundation that the monsters of the world have been under control, along with other supernatural and paranormal beings. They created harmony amongst themselves and their human neighbours - for now.
Guido Mista, a 24-year-old SSS agent, finds contentment in the smallest of things and is a charmer of women - no matter the species. Battling his own true life’s purpose, he follows Bruno’s and joins his team of highly trained agents. There, he finds a sense of home, which he hasn't felt in a long time. Guido Mista investigates a new rise in supernatural killings happening around the country. New cases of vampire killings, even though vampires have been extinct for the last 15 years? Something was up, and it was Mista’s job to find out what.
Giorno Giovanna, a 22-year-old artist known by a pseudonym, carries a past shadowed by melancholy, yet to confront its depths and reasons. From a tender age, he grappled with toughening his spirit and facing an inherited fate — a fate he neither desired nor embraced. With determined resolve, Giorno Giovanna aims to unearth the truths of his history, seeking enlightenment to navigate his forthcoming journey. He vows to rectify the past's wrongs, even if it means fighting the Devil.
The fight for survival has always been life on Earth’s true aim. When men from two different backgrounds come together, they too will fight for life. Fight for what is right, even if it ends them all.
For where there is eudaemonia, there is lachrymose. For that’s the balance of life. That’s the balance of love.
