“What is this?” Victor asked. “A building of some kind?”
“This, my darling boy, is not just any building,” she announced giddily, bracelets clinking as she clapped her hands together. “Once built, it will practically print us money. Several different business ventures under one roof—a gambling arena here in the center, a brothel over there…I’ve even included a tavern, an inn, and an opium den. My hope is that it will attract patrons with heavy pockets from all across the country, if not the continent.
