“Huh,” Grevesh said.
“This is good news, right? She means it?” Sharra briefly flipped the note back over, making sure she’d gotten it right. “She’s not getting in over her head?”
“No. She’s smart, but cautious. She wouldn’t send a message if she wasn’t sure.”
“Hmm…never got the ‘cautious’ vibe myself,” Sharra mused, in an almost dissenting tone.
“You never saw her in conflict. But, yes, she’s gotten braver.”
“Well…good for her,” Sharra smiled as she put the note down. “I’m sure you’ll tell me all about it when it’s done. Or she will. One of the two.” She clasped her hands before her. “So, are you ready to get started?”
Grevesh, still stripped to the waist with his back against the tabletop, nodded.
“Alright,” her eyes narrowed to a squint as she slowly waved an open palm back and forth over his chest. “Take a deep breath…hold it…”
