Work Text:

Narrator's point of view:

Phoebe was sitting on the roof of the old fire station. She had pulled her knees up to her upper body and was staring up at the sky. It was the dead of night and quite dark. There were stars everywhere in the sky. They shone brightly over Phoebe's head. Phoebe enjoyed the peace and quiet. She had had a lot to do in the last few days. She enjoyed finally being able to think. Unfortunately, she hadn't had much time to think. She first had to process the events of the last few days. She smiled as she thought of Melody. She didn't really want to admit it to herself, but she missed them. Phoebe sighed. She misses playing chess with her in the park. And to see Melody smile when the teenager won one of their chess games together, as he often did. Phoebe tipped her head back and closed her eyes briefly. She felt a breeze between her curls.

She sighed again. If she didn't know that Melody was long gone, Phoebe would think that the Teenage Ghost was with her now. But it was not like that.

Melody was gone.

And that forever. And Phoebe would never see her again.

„Phoebe? Pheb's? Are you up here?" Her brother's voice carried through her. Her brother climbed the ladder to the old roof. When he was finally up he looked around for her. Then he saw her. „There you are! Pheb's? Is Are you okay? Mom is worried about you! The others and I have been looking for you everywhere. We even called Podcast and asked if you were with him." Trevor looked at his sister worriedly.

Phoebe opened her eyes. She turned to Trevor. „Yes everything allright. I just needed some time to myself, you know?" The taller curly-haired man nodded. "Can I sit with you?" Trevor smiled softly. "Sure," Phoebe murmured. Trevor sat down next to her, his legs stretched out. He stared briefly at the dark night sky before looking at his little sister again.

"Phoebe?" "Mmmmm?" Phoebe stopped looking at Trevor and started staring at the starry sky. “You know I’m here for you. Feel free to tell me if there's something on your mind." "I know..." Phoebe sighed. It's just… I miss her…” “Who? "The ghost girl?" Trevor asked curiously. „I know this sounds stupid and I've thought about it for a long time, but I think I..." "You?" Trevor scooted closer to Phoebe and took one of her hands in his. He smiled gently. „I think....I...I.. I love her, Trevor. But now it's too late, I miss her so much, I wish I had more time with her." Phoebe began to cry. Silent tears streamed down her cheeks. Trevor sighed. He pulled his sister into his arms. He ran his fingers through her long curls. Phoebe hugged her brother and shuffled. “I believe you, Pheb’s! But I tell you what, it will get better eventually and besides, look Up!” He pointed to a particular, particularly bright star in the sky. "She will always be with you and watching over you, she's up there forever now!"

Phoebe looked up at the sky. Actually, Trevor was right. There it was, a beautiful bright star. The brightest star of all. Phoebe smiled.

There she was.
Her Melody.

She had now become part of the universe.

Hey Guys :)

Here is a new little One Shot for you, I hope you like it. I had my wisdom tooth surgery a few days ago, so I have a lot more time to write since I'm at home.
