Author's summary:
The first time he hears it, he thinks he’s just imagining the sound of his name being shouted in the distance. But then it comes again and immediately before Simon even turns he recognizes the voice. He experiences his second heart attack of the week when he sees Wilhelm racing wildly after the car, shouting his name.
Simon’s eyes widen and he turns quickly back to the front, staring at the road in front of them as his mind races in tumultuous directions.
What is he doing? Why is he doing this?
They’ve already done this back and forth, so many times. He’s already cried all that’s left of him, felt the pain of longing and heartsickness so deep like it’s been embedded into his skin, like it’s been wrapped around his bones, the words inked into the ribs around his heart.
__________
A Simon POV of that final scene.

It's been nearly a month and those final scenes of YR are still living rent-free in my head. This fic by This_time_its_just_me just perfectly captured all the emotions of those scenes for me, and they were kind enough to let me podfic it.
This is my first podfic I've been brave enough to publish, but I want to do more - so be kind but constructive criticism is welcomed!
