It's dark now and the streetlights they pass under every minute or so are dancing pale light over Wille’s hands which are wrapped around the steering wheel.
Simon can't help but to stare at the wiry veins that travel up his wrist and forearm, at the way his skin practically glows when the light hits it. His amber eyes are dark and serious, and Simon can feel the heat simmering between them, like it’s just waiting to spring back up and melt them to the bone.

For some strange reason though, Simon's hair on his arms stands up and he can feel his heart beating faster. Why should he be afraid of Wilhelm hunting some deer?

“Oh, I already found the perfect prey. Thank you for asking.”

All Simons wants for the night is a warm meal, a bed, and maybe some shared intimacy. When he finds his perfect victim, he does not realize that instead of being the hunter, he catches the attention of an old and powerful vampire and is the prey instead.
