“Hey Law!” he calls out, his voice once again cheerful. “I just thought of something more I could do here on the crew. I’m still pretty stealthy, if you ever need a spy-”
“Let’s see how you do as our sleep-officer first,” Law answers, “and if you have what it takes to climb the ranks.”
Rosinante looks baffled back at him. Then he pulls himself together and a smile grows on his lips.
“Yes, Captain,” he answers.
When Law turns and walks away, a satisfied smile breaks out across his face too.
“Get some sleep,” Rosinante calls after him.
“I’m fine,” Law counters.
"How many times did you use your room today?"
Law stops and thinks back. Then he gives his answer, "Four."
“Some of them were big ones, some were long ones,” Rosinante’s voice is calm and determined, “and they were all brilliant.”
Law turns around to look at him and opens his mouth. Then he closes it.
“As your sleep-officer, I advise you to get some rest, Captain."
“Roger that,” Law nods, he turns and walks off. Before he turns the corner, he shoots a look back at Rosinante and adds, “Glad to have you on board, officer.”
