The world once thrived on magic. Every living being contained magic, from the people to the animals. It was used in all sorts of ways, whether it was for gathering resources, construction or even duelling, it was an integral part to how people’s lives went. However, overtime, more people began using it for evil. Murder, arson, destruction, magic went from the worlds primary source of life to its possible end. Due to the constant rise of people committing crimes, a group of the most powerful people agreed to seal it all away to put an end to all the destruction. They put all their power together to cast a powerful spell, absorbing every living beings magic and sealing it all into a crystal deep underground. They made a map and hid it away, hoping that maybe the someone would find it in a future with less violence.
Hundreds of years later…
[???]
’Finally, I’ve found it!’
A boy entered the cave, clinging onto the map, slowly approaching the crystal.
[???]
’I’ve been looking for years, but I’ve finally found it! The map could’ve been made better though.’
He continued to close in on the crystal, grinning more and more.
[???]
’All the magic in the world, all in one place… all for me! I’ll use it better than the people years ago did. I wonder what I’ll do first...’
He walked up to the crystal, clenched his fist and shattered it with a single punch. The crystal shattered into billions of tiny glowing orbs. He reached his hand out and grabbed one of them as it was absorbed into his body. He held his hand out and produced a small fireball in his hand.

'Yes, it works! I have magic! I can-'
Most of the orbs floated out of the cave, but a couple thousand of them lingered. They slowly approached the boy and began absorbing themselves into his body. The fireball in his hand continued to grow.
[???]
'Oh yeah, I have SO MUCH POWER! This is so cool-'
However, he began receiving too much power for his body to handle, and the insane overflow of magic caused his body to begin to melt. He tried to clench his hands due to the pain but they melted into themselves and began dropping to the ground. The last thing he felt was parts of his body turning to stone.
The billions of orbs that left the cave began flowing into people all across the world, granting magic to most people, with very few not getting any. One such person to receive magic was a teenage girl named Sophie.
