Laxus and Freed face Erza in the square not far from the guild. The battle had been on for a while, Laxus and Erza fought tirelessly although neither tried to kill the other. Freed was back in defense, even if he wanted to go and fight alongside the dragon hunter. But, it was not possible for one reason he was with Laxus' child.
However, he had not been able to say anything to Laxus yet he wanted so much to confess this good news finally to Freed in any case. Unfortunately, many events are chained without him being able to have time to confess it to his love/good and tender.
Freed was therefore observing the scene in front, he had already placed runes around them in case one of the two ended up with serious injuries or just protective runes. Laxus had told him not to finally move as little as possible and to stay behind him without intervening, Freed had obviously wanted to oppose this order or choice on the part of Laxus but he was quickly dissuaded by Laxus' words.
"- If he would have a few things through my fault, I couldn't stand it. He had said in a protective voice by placing his hands around his waist, their forehead glued against each other.
- Laxus... Okay but promise me to be careful please. Had confessed to Freed worried about the lightning dragon hunter. ”
Suddenly by mistake of Erza, one of his swords was heading towards Freed. The two fighters did not have time to intercept the weapon in its momentum, in the distance, we could hear the sound of a thunderstorm pierced the sky. Freed said he was surprised to see the weapon approaching, he was frozen, he did not dare to deviate from the trajectory of the sword. And by an instinct that could be called maternal, he put his hands on his stomach.
"- Don't worry, I'll protect you. Thought Freed, invoking his protective runes. ”
He summoned his runes at high speed to protect himself and the child carried, and even to break the weapon.
"- Freed! Exclaimed Laxus, frightened and with an unlikely reflex, he found hims self facing Freed. ”
Laxus put his hands around Freed, wrapping him with his huge body to make sure to protect him from danger. Protect not only Freed but also something else or someone. Fortunately, he was not hurt by the weapon rushing at them; since Freed's runes were activated against the sword.
"I'm fine, said Freed trying to reassure him. - It will be okay, huh? He added, caressing his face with one of his hands while the other was on his flat stomach for the moment.
- Hum... Could only say Laxus while he smelled the warmth of his companion and breathing his smell. ”
Freed smiles gently at his answer, taking advantage of making an Eskimo kiss with the lightning dragon.
From a distance, Erza observed in silence a little embarrassed by their affection. She didn't have to see them if...so in love in front of her, if it could be said. But at the same time, she was also perplexed. She did not understand how hypnosis on the guild but she did not expect to see them act by instinct in this way. Although she knew that Freed was pregnant, and that Laxus was not aware of this, it did not mean that the dragon hunter present acts as a simple act of protection towards his lover.
Back to the other two members present, Laxus examined Freed more carefully to be sure that he was not injured. Freed let him soften by this, he found it cute when Laxus acted this way with him.
"- I love you. Says Freed getting closer to Laxus to put his hands on his chest. ”
The dragon did not answer, instead, he kissed her tenderly. We could understand, hear and feel : "I love you, too. ”
After this sweet shared moment, he resumed his fight with Erza.
