Chapter Text
The world was so bright, the light blinded all who looked at it. But Numa still looked, he understood that he shouldn't stare at the snow
It was beautiful, Numa could almost believe he was on holiday, but the belief always disappeared when he saw another face.
Their bones on almost display, covered by a thin layer of skin. The emptiness felt in all of them showed through their hollow cheeks.
As the light dimmed, so did Numa's hope that he would go home and see his family again. To play with his team, and finally become a lawyer.
The metal of the plane was cold against his hand, Numa leaned against the side of the plane. Moving towards the entrance.
Numa's leg felt like an enraged sun was blasting its heat at him.
The light faded quickly, as the sun hid behind the peaks of the mountains. Carlitos and the other young boys stood by the opening of the plane, waiting for everyone to enter before blocking it up.
Every time that Numa blinked, it felt like a minute had passed without him, his world was slowing down.
And as the final lighter was put out. Numa knew that this time he wouldn't come back.
