Pippa sat in her booster seat in the backseat of her daddy's purple Charger and drummed her fingers on the arm rests to Back In Black. She pouted when her daddy turned away from the tower. "Daddy," Pippa said, "wrong way."
"There's a detour, baby," Clint said. "It''ll take awhile."
"No, Daddy," Pippa said. "Uncle Bruce is making cheese burgers for Uncle Tony. We'll be late."
"We live in the city, Pip," Clint said. "Sometimes these things can't be helped."
"Uncle Bruce is making fries," Pippa said. "They'll get cold."
Clint was glad that Pippa couldn't see his expression, because he was rolling his eyes. If his daughter was going to be like this now he didn't want to know what she was going to be like as a teenager. Clint tried not to laugh when he heard Pippa dialing her Stark Phone.
Pippa talked into the speaker phone and said, "Jarvis, I need Uncle Tony>"
"Munchkin, do you need help?" Tony asked. "Should I have your Uncle Steve assemble the team?"
"We're okay," Pippa said, "but Daddy said there was a D-E-T_O-U-R and we were going to be late for cheese burgers and fries. I don't want them to be cold."
"They won't be cold," Tony said. "II'll tell your Uncle Bruce you and your Dady are going to be late."
"Thank you Uncle Tony," Pippa said. "I was worried."
"Can your daddy hear me?" Tony asked.
"I should have said," Pippa said. "You're on speaker."
"Should I have Jarvis handle desert?" Tony asked Clint.
"I got it," Clint said.
"Yay," Pippa said. "Daddy is making cherry pie."
Tony hung up his phone when he heard Pippa ask Clint if her Poppy liked his cherry pie.
"Your Poppy liked those mini powdered sugar donuts," Clint said, missing his husband.
