   Summary

   Having lost his best friend to a plot created to further the needs of the Port Mafia, Dazai decides to take his last words to heart and abandons the organisation to find a path of his own, unaware that fate of the man he had given the name Odasaku had taken a different turn.
   Determined to see for himself how far his friend's advice can take him, the former youngest executive of the Port Mafia sets off to create his own meaning to live.
