To Yoseob, everyone was a monster. Everywhere he turned, cruel, inhuman faces stared back. It all started with his mother, then evolved into the whole world. It was scary, the thing beside him said that he was scared. It made sense. The feeling in his chest, that rising panic. Fear. Yeah, fear.
There wasn’t a single person that didn’t scare Yoseob. The man who calls himself his uncle, the fiery-haired woman he’s married to. Their faces… they’re scary. Everyone’s scary, Yoseob’s scared. So, so, scared.
The voice. It tells him he’s a monster, too. Is he?
“If you want to know what it is to like, think about me, this moment.” His brother had told him, holding him tight. It didn’t hurt. When Yoseob looked at Jaeha, he wasn’t scared.
For the first time ever, Yoseob wasn’t scared, and the voice beside him faded out. Jaeha wasn’t a monster like the rest of them. And neither was Yoseob, because Jaeha would teach him how to be a human again.
Little did he know that Jaeha was just a different type of monster.
Selfish, cruel, in his own way.
If I teach him to like only me, he’ll stay beside me forever, he thinks, hugging Yoseob close. Jaeha was flooded with desire. A desire to be needed, wanted. Yoseob needs him. He won’t leave Yoseob’s side.
He’ll teach Yoseob how to only like him. Only need him. Only want him.
“I like you, Yoseob.”
