Did he manipulate you
Did he guilt trip you
Did he make you feel dependent on him
Did he make you feel like a bad person
You don’t see it
You don’t see the cycle
I said I wish you had more time for me
You said I should be more supportive
That you’re really stressed right now
That I’m not a priority
I come in second place to any first place medals you could earn
Any achievements you could accomplish
Any improvement you could make
Even when you don’t need improvement
You said i talk to much
Even if that’s not what your mouth said, your silence spoke for it
Nothing I say is complex to you, even if it once was
Nothing I say will make you change, not one thing
And maybe if you looked at the details that I say too much of,
You would see how much I change for you
And how little you do for me
And even if it makes me selfish to want to feel appreciated sometimes
And even if it makes me dramatic to take the quiet to heart
