Ever since that day we first met, Leo was always there.
He was always so observant, but I guess that was a side effect of those eyes of his. He was always watching, even when he thought no one would notice. It was like he could tell I was uncomfortable before I did, immediately taking matters into his own hand to ease the situation. Every morning starts with a cup of tea before I can even mutter a word, if the thoughts get too unbearable he’s there to pull me back to earth.
From the gentle smiles he gives to Sonic, his determination to save someone else, the desire to prove himself. It’s the way he stirs his coffee counter clockwise after putting in three sugars and more milk than can be considered healthy. It’s the way he curls up into a ball after a particularly long day of work , feigning positivity as to not worry those around him, the way he charges straight forward no matter how scared he may be.
He never tries to be anyone else, he is just Leo, and that’s how he has always been. He cares so much for the people around him that I worry he forgets to take care of himself. He doesn’t want recognition, he just wants to be someone his little sister can look up to.
I wish he could see that he already is a hero in her eyes.
He will always be a hero in mine.
