The movements of both men are so expert, so fast and accurate that, by the time Wen Ning notices that irregularity, both hands collide, creating a burst of power that sends them both ejected into the air.
The issue here is that both men, as they have already demonstrated, are formidable warriors. Even though the explosion caused them to be thrown, they are able to land gracefully on the ground without the slightest damage. Wen Ning is barely decent at archery, but he's not a formidable warrior; when the energy blast hits him he doesn't land with an ounce of the grace they landed with.
When he opens his eyes he realizes that he is on the ground, and there are two beautiful men on top of him. For a minute he wonders if maybe he's dreaming.»
