Summary
Vi Lane has barely managed to survive the impossible.
She's broken, empty, and burdened with a guilt that will never leave her. She's lost her little sister, barely managing to survive a horde of zombies and making it to safety. Convinced that Jinx was dead, she tried to move in a new community determined to try and start over after the world ended. Run by former councilwoman, Cassandra Kiramman, and her husband, Tobias, they had worked hard to clean up Piltover and bring it back to its former glory.
There were no more recorded cases of zombies and it seemed as though the world was on its way to being rebuilt. But they still had to be careful.
Vi tries to adjust, taking a job as an enforcer despite her Zaunite background. And she strikes up a friendship with Caitlyn, the councilwoman's daughter who desired a life beyond her parents' strict grasp. But as the two grow closer, something unexpected happens. A new survivor is found and it's none other than Jinx but something has changed within her. Something terrible.
