Reiner's eyes shoot open. A deep sense of dread set into him as he heard your voice yelling for him again.
What the hell…?
He could hear you, Gabi, and Falco.
His already clouded mind had left him distraught as your screams for him and his inner pleas for death clashed.
But that all paled in compression to the weight he felt.
It was the suffocation of dread.
And it made his blood run cold.
What the hell was going on?
Adrenaline shot through him as he realized the danger you were in.
Eren.
All of it came flooding back.
He’d save you,
Hed save all of you
From Eren.
And from himself.
…
Eren.
He wasn’t exactly defeated, but the fight was over.
Casualties laid around him as he got out of his Titian, his body wobbly and barely able to stand but he needed to get you, the building over there, on the third floor was it?
With a quickness he ran up the stairs, bursting through countless rooms.
Till he entered the one with you in it.
He looked around partially for Gabi And Falco but his attention was soon redirected to your body.
Your wounded body.
Your cold body
Your lifeless looking body.
“No..no no no NO.”
He said, his voice crescendoing as he got closer to your body, his eyes widened as he kneeled beside you, his eyes accessing the damage.
“Angel, can you hear me?”
His rough voice asking you softly and shakily, panic evident in his voice as he looked down at you.
You side is priced with a piece of strayed metal, cuts littering your body.
“Angel.. Angel please wake up.. Erens gone, we’re going to be okay…”
He looks out the blown out window.
“Can anyone help?!” His deep voice priced through the night, desperation in his voice.
Reiner could feel the tiredness leaving his body, being replaced with strength as he picked you up in his arms and started to rush downstairs.
“Just hold out a little longer, please.” He pleads.
Reiner quickly rushed to the infirmary, pushing his way past the lines, he was a titan shifter for God's sake, he was going to use his status.
He finally got you to a doctor, him sitting outside your door, his head in his hands, and his veins full of dread.
