Work Text:

You feel like you're being watched.

At every step you take, making your way to work. At every move you make there, you feel like eyes are on you. But not from the outside, no. It's like, from inside your head.

Your co-worker asks for something. Words that aren't yours come out of your mouth. What is going on?

You do your daily activities on automatic. You don't know how or why, because you were sure you had difficulties in that stuff. Oh well.

You walk home as if someone else was controlling your legs. It's all robotic.

It must be the alienation from your job, right? There's no way. Could you be-

No, no, no. You didn't live any sort of childhood trauma or anything for that. It could be your other mental illnesses acting up. You're normal. You're normal.

...Then why do you hear several voices in you head when you go to bed? As if- as if the thoughts weren't yours, they solely appeared like annoying pop-ups on your computer that you had to close before they had the chance to give you a virus.

Hm, you think your computer in this case has a virus. But you can't localise it. You have an issue but you don't know what's going on.

But that's okay.

It's best to not know what's going on, Stanley.

Notes:

gonna talk to my therapist about it today but i appreciate any comments from systems about this fic, smiles
