    “I’m just glad you’re alright, Adam,” he said solemnly.
    Adam’s voice was weak and quiet, high pitched and teetering on the edge of breaking, and the sound of him fighting tears made Lawrence tighten his grasp ever so slightly on his shoulder in a protective gesture.
    “When I woke up in the hospital and I saw that you weren’t there, I-I made up my mind you were dead. I grieved you— I-I really. I missed you, Lawrence.”
    A hiccup slipped past Adam’s lips and he dodged into Lawrence’s chest, hugging him tightly, trembling against him. His arms instinctively came down around him and he held him to his chest.
