Chapter 1: Fulfillment and Consequences

Summary:

Fun fact of the chapter!

This chapter is the shortest! So I mashed it with the next chapter to make it not so short!

Chapter Text

"What do you MEAN you've never eaten a pickle!?" Fern said at the discovery,

"Yeah, I've never eaten one, so?" Finn explained,

"I'm gonna make you eat a pickle, Finn. I don't care if I die trying, you HAVE to eat ONE!"

Fern exclaimed as Jay giggled at the conversation.

"Ballsack!" Jay yelled out of nowhere, which made the three burst out laughing.

Little did the teens know, a fourth person was listening to their chatter.

Alexandrite sat in their garden and sipped their cup of inkbloom tea as they listened to the human's conversation,

studying the human's wants and needs,
their likes and dislikes, loves and hates, that was until…

They saw that the human, Finn, had the longest burning desire.

"Hmm, that's what he wants? Then, I shall fulfill his desire." Alexandrite spoke to themself before floating down to earth, to the humans' view.

Finn, Fern, and Jay were laughing when the teens saw a bright light coming towards them, reminiscent of a giant pillar of quartz coming down from the sky, before revealing a tall silent creature with black spider-like hands, deer-like legs, and glowing white skin with designs of black scattered around the skin, with short straight white hair, accompanied by various envious green eyes with the sclera of pitch blackness, with a long toga of viscous dark red fluid flowing through the forgotten breeze, they were the definition of godliness and wishes, a beautiful being "beyond" comprehension.

"Hello, children." Alexandrite spoke before Fern spoke up

"I must be dreaming again…"

"I can back you up, either I am too and we are in a collective dream or this is real…"

Finn said after Fern when Alexandrite floated down to their level, slowly putting their hooven feet on the ground before the ground around them erupted with life and beautiful flowers the human children had never seen before in their short little lives.

The teens all gasped at the sight of such beautiful magical moments in front of them.

"Umm, why are you here, mysterious godly entity?" Jay asked as Alexandrite laughed softly

"I am Alexandrite, God of Wishes and Dreams, I will fulfill one of your wishes, my children."

Alexandrite explained as they floated an inch off the ground, sounding so calming but as well as sleepy and condescending.

"Oh, really? Then I wish for -" Fern started before Alexandrite cut him off, stating.

"Oh, no no no, I've already chosen who and what wish shall be granted, a wish that has lived for the longest of years, a desire that has never been quenched since conception, and I am here to quench that deep desire, Finn Rubyn Kittenlungs."

Finn froze as Alexandrites green eyes stared into his soul with a smile, "Well, off you go! Have a wonderful time if you survive long enough to truly live!"

Alexandrite spoke before trapping them inside a ball of light and letting it fly to wherever Alexandrite wanted to take them, no...

where Finn's old desire wanted to take them.

"Finn, where is this going? What did you do? What is happening!?"

Fern questioned as they flew inside the ball of light.

“I DON'T KNOW! I don't know! I-I just don't I-I don't understand! What- why?"

Finn questioned nervously as he tried to wrap his head around where they could be going he heard Jay and Fern in distress in the ball of light.

What could be that damned desire? Where could this be taking us - "Oh my god… it can't be, it just can't, I don't even- I- what?" Finn muttered out loud.

We couldn't be going where I think we were, right? Alexandrite couldn't do this,

not now

not here

not with them

not with his brother and both of their best friend, Jay.

Not this.

If it was, then this would be terrible for me.

What would happen to them!?

How would they think of me after all of this!? They would hate me, right!?

But it can't be that!

I don't even want that to happen anymore!

I have my brother and Jay now… I don't need that awful feeling to fill an empty place in my heart.

It's been filled already!

Alexandrite must be taking them to… Somewhere else! well, maybe Disneyland! Or Enchanted Forest! or somewhere else, just not that terrible place.

If they went there, they would all be dead meat for sure.

"Can't be what Finn!? Where are we going!?"

Fern said as he slightly jumped and slammed his fists on the bubble of light they were trapped in, accidentally making them bounce around in their temporary prison for a moment or two before Finn took a big breath and tried to speak

“I really wanted something years ago, and I don't know why I remembered it, but we might be -"

Finn spoke before being cut off by the ball of light breaking away, dropping them into a forever white void with no horizon to see.

"Oww… what just…?" Fern mumbled as he heard Finn curse and mutter repeatedly under his breath. Fern and Jay looked up to see… blue strings?

The strings were tangled in each other from the ceiling they couldn't see when they suddenly heard Finn scream from behind them.

When they turned, they saw a black, glitchy, skeletal creature with red eye sockets.

The skeleton had a small, white pupil in his right eye socket, and a larger pupil going from yellow to blue to black in his left. Light blue tear-like markings were coming from his eyes to his chin, like the blue string on the ceiling. He wore a black coat with pieces of blue gradients stitched together on the sleeves with yellow pockets.

Underneath he wore a red sweater, and he had Finn by his side, Finn tangled up in his blue strings, with that evil grin on his face at this 'achievement'.

"Hello anomalies, I was pretty bored, but I've been waiting for some new puppets!"

The strange skeleton said in this glitchy voice before suddenly he had strings on his fingers from his eyes and was trying to tangle them up as well

but as quickly as the glitchy skeleton appeared

another skeleton appeared to block them from the skeletons' strings.

The skeleton wasn't glitchy and black with yellow ass teeth but he was white with a blotch of black ink on his cheek with a brown scarf and a gigantic paintbrush in hand with a sash on with paint vials of different colors inside accompanied by one of his pupils being blue and the other yellow with his sockets being black.

"I'm just… flabbergasted at this…" Fern said before the two skeletons started to fight intensely.

Finn had gotten out of his strings and ran over to Fern and Jay, whispering to them

“We got to go, now." And speaking of the devil, a portal opened with two other skeletons

one with yellow pupils and a strange crown on their head, the other one with blue pupils and a blue bandana around their neck, and what looked to be homemade armor on his chest and knees.

The yellow one extended their hand to the teens, and they booked it in the portal

but Finn was the last in the portal, even though he had just gotten ensnared by the glitchy skeleton that appeared in the void of white.

On the other side of the portal, a cottage sat. The cottage was a pretty shade of wood and was surrounded by trees.

In the fridge of the cottage was 14.5 Tupperwares of spaghetti. Everything else in the fridge was stuff to make tacos.

There were 3 bedrooms on the bottom floor, two of them being occupied, the upper floor had 4 more bedrooms. T

he skeleton trio, the blue skeleton being named Swap, the yellow one Dream, and the one with the giant paintbrush named Ink let the teens take refuge in their cottage with them.

Fern and Jay took the upstairs room that was unoccupied, and Finn was left with the downstairs room.

Finn had a bad feeling about some of the star sanses as the trio called themselves, but something worse couldn't happen...

...right?
