Work Text:

Regulus was definitely losing his mind.

Since his older brother ran away from home and abandoned him in the clutches of his mother, Regulus went through different phases. He hated Sirius for a long time, until he understood that he had no choice.

When the elder Black's band started, Regulus was their biggest fan. As they gained popularity, Regulus was the proudest.

For that and many other reasons, when The Marauders announced a tour, with their last stop being the birthplace of their lead singer Regulus Black hesitated for weeks whether to buy the tickets or not, until he simply did. He would see his brother after years singing live. Not that he was going to tell anyone, not even Pandora.

He was grateful that he no longer lived with his mother and lived only with his best friends, because with his mother he would never have been able to do what he did that day.

Leaving without telling anyone where he would go.

His mother would not have allowed him to leave until he told her all the details. Who he would go with, where he would go, who would be there, what time he would arrive, among other things. At least in this house, his friends didn't ask anything at all.

"I'm going out, I'll be back at night."

"Have a good time!" Pandora was the only one who said goodbye to him with her sweet tone, the other three of his friends with a little luck nodded.

When he arrived at the place and started to get in line, he wished he had at least told Pandora where he was going. He couldn't do this alone.

He could still regret it, right?

At that, Pandora simply appeared next to him. She wrapped her arm around his like she always did and let her blonde head fall on his shoulder, supporting him only as she knew how. "You look nervous...."

Within seconds, Dorcas, Barty and Evan appeared. Barty had his arms full with things to eat during the concert, he probably lost a bet and had to pay. The tall boy with green hair, the first boy who spoke to him and supported him when his brother left, handed him one of the things he had in his arms. Barty gave him his favorite candy while he looked at him without any expression on his face.

Barty knew he hated cheesy things. Dorcas and Evan said absolutely nothing, just gave him a soft smile and gave him a thumbs up. A strange way to show that they supported him, but Regulus wasn't going to complain.

As soon as the concert started, Regulus didn't think that he would be noticed by his brother. He planned to enter and leave without being seen.

Come on, years had passed and he and his friends were not so close to the stage. The marauders would have to have really good eyesight to see him so far from the stage.

Regulus underestimated Sirius' love.

When the last song started, a sad song that Regulus knew was about them and their family, he thought he had emerged victorious. Until Sirius started walking towards the front of the stage.

When their eyes met, the younger Black's entire body froze as his older brother continued singing their song, his eyes locked on his.

When the song ended, the fans screamed and clapped, happy for the song, but sad for the end of the concert. Of all the members of the band, Sirius was still stuck in that same spot, his feet glued to the floor. The microphone still close to his mouth caught the heavy sigh and shaky voice that spoke: "Reggie?"

At that moment, the rest of the marauders confirmed that something was wrong. That name was prohibited under all circumstances. Sirius was grateful that this theater had seats and aisles instead of being a flat field where everyone was on top of everyone.

When Sirius came off the stage, the crowd went crazy and with only the bodyguards taking care of him from the crazy fans and his boyfriend being more anxious than person behind him, the oldest of the black brothers began to walk straight towards his little brother.

That little brother that he raised, that he protected with his own body, that little brother that he could never forget. When he reached the row of seats where his brother was, he felt something missing return to his place.

Regulus had his face hidden in his hands, all of his body language showing how embarrassed he was by his brother's behavior. Next to him, Sirius could notice a girl and a boy with big, identical smiles, a tall green-haired boy laughing so hard his stomach probably hurt, and a woman with a soft smile that he remembered seeing more than once with his friend Marlene.

"Reggie..." As his words came over the speakers, Sirius realized that he still had the microphone held from his ear close to his mouth. He ripped it off quickly, not wanting anyone to hear what he would say.

Little did Sirius know that there would be thousands of viral videos of the Black brothers' reunion on all social networks.

Reggie uncovered his face, trying to remain as serious and cool as possible. He bit his tongue to stop the crying, exactly like his older brother had taught him in his childhood.

"I was supposed to come and go without being seen, Sirius..." Regulus spoke, his voice loud enough for his brother to hear.

"Well, little brother, you hide like shit..." There was a pause as he caught his breath. "Seriously, at least you would have worn a mask."

Regulus's icy cold face fell, a small laugh escaping his lips.

He really hated his older brother.
