Chapter Text

Zee huffed, arms crossed, glaring daggers at Hannah. “How do you always manage to get yourself into these situations?”

The younger girl just pouted at her from where she was dangling upside down, outside of Frollo’s Creperie. “Are you gonna help me get down or not?”

“....yeah, hang on.” Zee surveyed the situation, then started climbing up the bricks of the building.

Once she was at the window Hannah was stuck in, she tugged slightly on her shoe. “D’you think you can land on your feet? Like a cat?”

Hannah thought about it for a long moment. “Maybe….?”

“Well, I think you’re gonna hafta risk it. I don’t see any other way to get ya down so…bombs away!” She tugged Hannah’s foot free of the window, sending the younger girl crashing down.

The pirate captain did not land on her feet like a cat. But luckily for her, Frollo broke her fall.

Bah! ” The judge fell flat on his face as Hannah landed square on his back.

“Oops.” Zee covered her mouth. “You okay, H?”

The brunette nodded, pushing herself to her feet. “Bit sore but otherwise fine.”

“Get off of me, you unruly miscreant!” Frollo bellowed.

Zee dropped down from the wall, landing on her feet, at least. “Time to run, Cap?”

Hannah looked at the fallen old man. Looking bored. “Nah.”

That made Frollo splutter. “I shall whip the two of you if you do not cower at my presence!”

That gave the twelve year old pause. “On second thought…”

And  with that, she bolted.

“Figured.” Zee rolled her eyes and half-heartedly started jogging after her, trusting that Old Man Frollo wouldn’t catch up, especially with the new back problems he must’ve now had.

Hannah just giggled in response. “Last one to the ship is a rotter!”

Zee scoffed. “You do realize that your pirate-y insults mean nothing to me, right?”

“Last one to the ship is Frollo's wife to be!”

“OH NOW IT’S ON!” Zee increased her speed significantly. She wasn’t an athlete by any means, but she’d move mountains in order to not lose.
