    Eddie is quiet for a long moment before he adjusts his position on the couch and raises his eyes to meet Buck's. "You said you weren't sure until Tommy kissed you, right?"

    Buck's breath catches in his throat.

    "Yeah, right," he replies, hoarse. He swallows hard.

    "You can say no, I know this isn't exactly something friends do for each other, but—"

    "Yes," Buck interrupts, and then he feels his cheeks grow hot, all the way down to his chest. "I mean— I mean," he says dumbly. "I'd let you, you know. Kiss me. If it helped."
