Summary
Fourteen year old Rithlan, the only apprentice of his group to survive the Trial of the Grasses, goes on a field trip with his mentor Witcher, Barwin. A nearby village is in need of Witcher services and Barwin feels it's the perfect chance for Rithlan to test his skills outside of Kaer Morhen. Rithlan is less convinced of his abilities and trying to decide if this is even the life he wants to live.
This story takes place in the Witcher Universe, mostly inspired by video game canon and Nightmare of the Wolf. It is set hundreds of years prior to Geralt’s story, so all characters are original. The story contains disciplinary spankings of a fictional teenager by fictional adults. The author does not condone it in real life. There are also depictions of violence, death, gore, and other Witcher universe-based dark things. Despite all this, the tone is relatively light. ;)
