   Summary

   “You can cage a songbird, but you can’t make her sing.” Words of some piano man from the early 2000s circled in V’s mind. It was one of those infuriating lines from a song that you remembered almost by accident, only to then spend the next thirty minutes agonizing as to where it came from.
