Chapter Text
“Jeez that hurt,” I groan, getting out of bed and going to get changed for school. “shit that looks worse than I thought it would.” I look into the mirror in my bathroom to see my chest, arms, and upper legs covers in bruises and scars, my neck and shoulders have cuts in them as well.
I get out the first-aid kit from under the sink and start to clean the cuts and make sure there isn’t any glass left in my skin, I did try to get it all out last night, but I wasn’t fully conscious. Putting my uniform on I use the foundation I secretly bought and put it around my neck, covering any bruises or scars that I didn’t get from training at school.
I make sure to be quiet when I go downstairs to get the money for school lunch left on the counter, it’s not enough to pay for the food at lunch rush, but I can get one or two things at the vending machine near the classroom. I pack my bag and start walking to school, making sure neither of my parents have the chance to yell at me before school.
I walk inside the classroom to see Aizawa Sensei in the corner on the floor in his sleeping bag with the tests from last week with a red pen grading them, I was always the first one to class, it made sense since I was getting there an hour and a half early. But what surprised me was that Aizawa was fine with me getting here so early, he used to spend the mornings in the staff room, but when he noticed I came here early he started staying in the classroom.
“Morning Sensei,” I huff, walking over to my desk and putting my bag next to me as I sit down.
“You’re earlier than usual, wake up early or something?” We don’t usually have many conversations in the morning, but he did ask when I got to school earlier or later than usual.
“Couldn’t fall back asleep… why’re you here this early?” Usually when I come in earlier, I see him also coming in, so why was he already here?
“Grading your tests, want to get it all done in the morning. Also need to take a nap before your classmates get here, thought I’d get an earlier start.” I just nod before putting my headphones in and playing my music, leaning off to the side looking out the window.
“Hey Bakubro,” Kirishima calls out, walking up to me. I don’t understand why he is so persistent on trying to befriend me, I don’t do friends, too much trust and time to put in that I don’t have. “you’re early as ever.” I just ignore him hoping he’d just walk over to the Mina gang, but he sits behind me in class so there isn’t much hope for me when I keep hearing him talk to me from his desk.
I stay in the classroom for lunch as I usually do, Aizawa goes off to the staff room, but lets me stay here anyways since there’s staff wondering the halls… but then Kirishima comes over to me, damn it. “What?”
“Why do you always sit in here by yourself bro? You can come join us in the cafeteria.” Why is he so persistent? Why can’t he just take the hint and leave me alone like everyone else has?
“People can get annoying, I stay in here so I’m not with everyone around me and annoying me.” I huff, and get up to go get my food, hopping he just leaves me alone.
Walking out of the classroom, Kirishima finally gets the message and goes off to the Mina gang and I have a chance to get my vending machine lunch, a bag of chips and a Gatorade.
I walk back to the classroom and sit in the back corner of the room next to the window, Aizawa ended up leaving a cushion in the room, so I had something to lean on. I put my headphones in and connect them to my phone as I listen to my music while I do the homework that President Mic assigned this morning.
We had to write an essay on family, I don’t know what to write in it, there isn’t anything I can write about without getting caught… I stare at the papers in my lap as I fidget with the pencil in my hand.
