Ena was chilling in her new home! (Kanade’s House) (That she finally got the address for after three consecutive years of trying...)
Anyway, she lay on the sofa, completely relaxed. Truthfully, it has been so nice to have a home to return to where she can relax without worrying about any trouble.
That, of course, was if life was nice to her.
Which it wasn’t.
And in front of her stood her current biggest problem, Asahina Mafuyu, the one and only girlfriend who’s been staring at her for ten minutes from the door, unmoving.
Ena, of course, decided to ignore her, focusing on the very boring- nice movie in front of her, leaving Mafuyu standing awkwardly at the door, observing her.
This, however, started to irritate her, and so she huffed, “Are you going to stand there forever and watch me like a maniac, or are you going to join me?!”
“I was waiting for you to invite me so I wouldn’t bother you.”
“Well! You’re bothering me like this, so just come!” She yelled, exasperated, before reaching out her arms in a grabby motion towards her lover.
She didn’t miss the hint of amusement in Mafuyu’s eyes at her unconsciously needy move, so she huffed and crossed her arms to mask it.
Mafuyu sat right beside her, hip to hip, and stared ahead at the screen. The movie was... extremely boring, and neither seemed to care, but neither were moving or doing anything about it.
Sighing, Ena threw her head back, staring at the ceiling. She was waiting for Kanade to come out of her room so they could all play wife and make food for their other wife (Mizuki), who’s coming back from war (school).
Suddenly, a soft weight dropped on her lap, and Ena looked down to see Mafuyu’s head there.
The former didn’t mind, opting to pull out her phone as she scrolled on it, edit her pictures, and adjust the lighting while Mafuyu’s soft hair lay in her lap.
A calloused hand reached for her free hand, pulling it and placing it on the purple curls, so Ena subconsciously started playing with her girlfriend’s hair.
Today Mafuyu wore her hair down, and it was nice to see it all soft and fluffy under her fingertips.
She then lifted her hand up to try to adjust a picture and never returned it down to her lovers head.
“Hmph.” Mafuyu huffed, rubbing her head on Ena’s thighs, but the artist paid her no mind.
She again turned to her side and nuzzled her head into Ena’s stomach, but the artist still paid her no mind.
“Ena.”
“What.” She grumbled, looking down unamused, before looking back at her phone.
Her girlfriend’s hair was splayed over her lap, eyes looking at her needily, but! She wasn’t going to fall for the bunny eyes; damn her, she needed to finish editing and posting.
“Look at me.”
Confused, Ena lowered her phone again to glare at the girl. Wasn’t keeping her head in her lap enough?
The purple-haired girl challenged her back before murmuring, “Play with my hair.”
“So demanding, geez.” And finally, Ena gave in, sighed, and petted her head.
They had a simple routine: ena scrolls, ena pets, and Mafuyu laid her head sleepily like the princess she was currently being!
How annoying… endearingly annoying.
It was quiet for a bit before Mafuyu interrupted the silence by saying,"I feel homesick…”
“For your home?” Ena replied, confused, as she lowered her phone again to look at the other girl.
“No for your arms.”
Oh!
“I want to be held in your arms now.”
“Mafuyu,” Ena groaned, slapping an arm over her head and throwing it back. What they don’t tell you about dating a writer is that you get hit with the most romantic fairy tale-like confessions, and you have to keep functioning like a normal human. “You’re going to be the death of me.”
Sighing, she kept her attention on Mafuyu, who clambered up from where she lay, only to stare at Ena with big, stupid blue eyes.
“What do you want?”
Mafuyu pointed at her lap before climbing on it.
“Oi Mafuyu! Warn me next time.”
“I did.”
And with that, the purple-haired girl straddled Ena’s lap and wrapped her arms around her like a koala.
"You are an absolute big baby.” Ena snorted, huffing lightly as she felt Mafuyu nuzzle her head onto her neck.
“‘Pet 'e,” her voice muffled against Ena’s neck, casting shivers down her spine.
“What?”
Huffing, Mafuyu blindly reached behind Ena's arms before raising them up to—oh!
Her hair.
"Ugh, what do I do with you?” Ena sighed, bringing one hand up to Mafuyu’s hair to pet her gently and the other around her torso to hold her securely.
“Pet me.”
Just like a bunny... Mafuyu plopped her head down when she wanted to be petted.
