Xiao is in love with Venti since the very first time he saw him descending from Liyue’s sky in a gust of wind, carrying a bottle of wine from Mondstadt. He wasn't sure what it was at first, it took him many years to understand it, and many more to decide how to feel about it.
As time passed, he got sure of some important things: As a Yaksha, it was improper of him to expect reciprocated love from one of the Seven, Barbatos himself. Xiao was good at fighting, and had never felt anything like that for another being in all his life. And Barbatos was with Zhongli.
He understood more sooner than later that he had no chance.
He was so wrong.
