The Haruno’s are an assassin clan but to most people they are just civilians, civilians who wear "weird" clothes, anything that doesn't resembles shinobi or a shinobi lifestyle are called civilian and it's probably better that way since assassins aren't meant to be known by everyone
The ones that do know about them often hire them to assassinate individuals or groups of people.
They keep out of the shinobi system and pretend to be civilians to the public and keep their true nature hidden.
That was until Kizashi and Mebuki had enrolled their daughter to Konoha's Ninja Academy
Kizashi wasn't very thrilled about Sakura attending shinobi academy,the red-head already thought that the people of Konoha are too easy ongoing on their children and deems the academy a waste.
"why are you enrolling me to a shinobi academy?" A 6 year-old Sakura asked "Is it a mission? Do you want me to kill the jinchūriki?"
Her mother leaned foward and put her hands on Sakura's shoulders "No we need you get Intel from the Jinchūriki and clan classmates, do not kill anyone unless we say do you understand
"Understood mother"
Sakura Haruno had arrived the academy six weeks later than her classmates, she wore a grey shemagh mask that covered her mouth, a light-red t shirt with a haruno circle on it, dark-red long pants with the haruno symbol at the sides and dark purple sandals.
When she entered the classroom Iruka told her to introduce herself
"I'm Haruno Sakura"
It was quiet for a while
"Anything else...any hobbies?"
We kill people does that count as a hobby?
'No'
Shame
The uncomfortable silence continued as Sakura stared while having an inner monologue about what she should and shouldn't share
"Well if you have nothing else to s-"
"Anmitsu" Sakura said abruptly
"I like Anmitsu"
"Any dislikes?"
I hate when we have to dispose bodies on our own it's annoying
"I have no dislikes"
The rest of the day went well, the mini tests and general knowledge lessons were easy to understand, Iruka later set up Taijutsu match for everyone to do this to help shape shinobi of the future.
The boys were to have there matches first and then the girls
Sakura didn't really understand why they were separating sexes, did they really assume that the girls couldn't fight against their male counterparts
Ironic considering the god of shinobi is a woman
'I don't think they're taught about Kaguya yet'
"Yet"? Bold of you to assume they'd ever teach that
'Hmm'
What do you think of Naruto?
'He's annoying' I look at the Uchiha fighting against a civilian boy 'he's also annoying'
agreed but you can feel the boy's chakra can't you?
'Yes he's the jinchūriki right?'
"Bingo"
'So what should we do-'
"Sakura!" I look up to see Ino and Ami standing across from me
"You look lonely all by yourself are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm just bored"
"Can we sit with you? We can be bored together"
"Sure"
During the taijutsu match between Sasuke and the other boys Ino and Ami tried to convince her that Sasuke was a really cool person
"He's okay i guess"
"Just okay!?" Ami and Ino say in unison both equally horrified by the statement
"Err sorry" I wasn't sorry "But look at who he's fighting against i gesture toward Naruto, he's next opponent that he's started to fight the only reason he's winning is because Naruto doesn't know any forms, if he was fighting someone like Hinata he would lose in a heartbeat"
This offends Ami and dares Sakura to fight the Uchiha while he was sparring with Naruto
"Do it unless you're all talk"
"Ami stop there's no need to-"
"Okay" Interrupted Ino's attempt at defending me and walk over to Iruka-sensei with Ami and Ino slowly following my trail
Finally we're being active
Iruka was observing the fight when he felt a tug on his pants "Sakura? Are you okay?"
"Iruka-sensei when Naruto loses can I fight against Sasuke next?"
Iruka was happy to see that Sakura was finally engaging with the other kids but he didn't like how she boldly claimed that Naruto would lose
"That's not very nic-"
The sound of Naruto falling to the ground and groaning cut him
"Tch next time I'll win teme just you wait" He walks out of the training ground
"Whatever" Sasuke grumbles
Iruka looked between Sasuke then me "I don't think that's a good idea"
"Because I'm a girl"
"Wha- no of course not"
"Then let me fight I just want to test my abilities it's my first day please"
Iruka eventually caved into Sakura's plea
"Next Sakura vs Sasuke"
"This should be quick" Sasuke said with no hesitation as he got in a stance
Likewise
"Begin!"
Neither Sasuke or Sakura moved
"Tch well aren't you going to fight" Sasuke said in an annoyed tone
"Ladies first" some of the boys giggled at that "I guess the great Uchiha clan are filled with sissies scared of girls" It's probably a low blow to make fun of his family but at least he'll be motatived to fight
"Don't you dare-"
"Or what? You'll cry to your big brother Itachi, if you're this scared of me i doubt your brother could do anything"
Now angry Sasuke runs toward me and launched his right arm forward to swing a punch aiming for my stomach, I dodged quicker than he could blink, it's like the world went in slow motion as his body starts to fall forward and I grab hold of his left arm that starts swaying and-
Crunch
There's an agonising scream that escapes Sasuke's mouth and he clings to his arm that limbs to the ground
Iruka's eyes widened as he rushes over to the boy who is crying in pain
"Don't worry Sasuke we'll have a medic-nin heal you soon"
"How could you do this to a fellow classmate!?" Iruka shouts at me
"Do what? all i did was hurt him isn't that the sole purpose of a spar?" Her cold green eyes stared into Iruka's soul what's wrong with this child?
She has this slight robotic nature about her and it was unsettling to watch.
Sasuke was soon healed by medic-nin's and fine the next day, the girls looked at Sakura in pure hate for dare hurting their "precious Sasuke" that soon stopped once Sakura threatened that she'd kill all of them if they didn't leave her alone, the only girls that talked to her in her class were Ino and Hinata some boys looked at her in fear whilst others like Naruto looked at her awe.
Few years later
Team 7 will consist of “Uzumaki Naruto”, “Uchiha Sasuke” and lastly….
I close my eyes and groan as i predict the team that i will be placed on
“Haruno Sakura!”
Great I'm stuck with a bunch of idiots......
Your sensei will be Hatake Kakashi
I rise a brow out of interest. The Copy nin huh? I whisper to myself. Good at least I'll have one competent person on this team it can make up for the two disappointments sitting far across from me.
Sakura sighed and straighted her position, why couldn't she have Ino and Hinata as teammates.... Shikamaru would be better too since his intelligence makes up for laziness and "what a drag" attitude. Having competent partners is necessary for missions but if this-
"I'M GONNA KICK ASS BELIEVE IT!"
Ugh it's going to be a long day
