Work Text:
Meet in the garden tonight, after everyone's gone to bed.
Said the note that was left on Hugh's pillow. He knew who wrote it, Fiona.
He quickly shoves it in the nightstand drawer when he hears footsteps coming up the stairs and towards his room.
"Dude, dinner's ready."
Jake states as he knocks on the doorway to Hugh's room, as to get his attention.
"Alright thanks."
Hugh's responds quickly as to not let the bee's escape his lips.
Jake taps on Hugh's doorframe like he was a dad before just walking out and down the hall, probably to Emma's room.
Hugh looks down the hall, waiting for the clear before taking out the note and reading it once over again as a small smile tugs at his lips. He simply puts the note with the others in the box he kept hidden under his bed, for no one to find, before walking down to the dinning hall.
Everyone was already there, exept for Emma, Jake, and, Enoch. As Hugh takes his seat next to Fiona, Enoch comes up from his basement workshop and just takes his seat silently. Soon enough Emma and Jake come and sit down.
"Alright then, now that everyone is here."
Miss peregrine states as she signals for all of the kids to eat, and eat they do.
"See my note?" Fiona whispers to Hugh with her thick Irish accent, making her almost unintelligible.
"Hmm?...oh yeah, I got it." Hugh says back quietly, taking a moment to try and figure out what the hell she said, as he piles more food in his mouth like he's never eaten before.
"So, we on?" She asks, not trying to bring attention to their conversation, they were too busy talking amongst themselves and eating rather than ease dropping.
"OH, um yeah, sounds good." Hugh says with his sweet smile as he looks over at her beautiful face.
Fiona just nods as she continues to eat.
After they've finished eating and gotten calmed down a bit, as well as resetting the loop like always, they all meet in the lounge to watch Horace's projector dreams.
Fiona sits on the couch next to hugh, a bit too close to be considered normal, just sitting up against him as they watch Horace's stupid dream about clothes.
"You know, you probably shouldn't be this close to me if we're trying to keep this secret."
Hugh whispers to Fiona as he gently squeezes her forearm lovingly.
"I know."
She responds with a smile, trying to make her accent not as intense so he can understand her properly. Which didn't actually help much but he smiled at the gesture.
"Borring!"
Millard states loudly as he stands up and walks out. Causing the rest of the kids to laugh, or at least let out a small chuckle. Before they themselves retreat to their rooms.
A bit later Hugh was in his room when he hears Enoch go up to his room from the basement. Realizing he was probably the last kid to go to bed.
Hugh makes his way out to the garden, just to see Fiona sitting in the grass watching the stars.
"Hey."
Hugh states to get her attention as he walks up to her.
"Hey dreamboat."
She responds almost joking to him as she looks up to see him
"Hey pretty lady."
Hugh says as if trying to one up her as he lays down next to her in the soft grass, tucking her hair behind her ear.
She chuckles as she leans up and kisses him straight on the lips, causing him to freeze as a blush appears on his cheeks, like it always did when they kiss. He kisses back as he gently grabs her waist with shaky hands, although he is quickly calmed down once she puts her arms around his neck and hangs off of him a little as they kiss. Fiona moves to be on top of Hugh a bit and Hugh let's her by laying on his back on the grass more.
The kiss becomes more intense as he opens his mouth a little, although blocking the bee's from exiting his throat with his tongue, even though he could feel them trying.
Fiona didn't mind, she was just to wrapped up in the whole thing.
Hugh starts trying to lean into her more and more, until he was basically sitting up. That's when Fiona starts to sit on his lap, straddling him, with her legs loosely wrapped around his waist as they continue to make out.
"This is probably the worst place to do this."
Hugh whispers against Fiona's lips.
"Could be worse. Also, everyone's already in bed, they're not gonna see."
Fiona reassures as they go back to kissing passionately.
Something about her voice just did it for Hugh, she just sounded so damn hot with that stupid Irish accent.
Hugh makes a small sound as Fiona's tongue sneaks into his mouth, not minding the bee's.
That's another thing he thought was so perfect about his absolutely gorgeous girlfriend. She didn't mind the bee's he was covered with in the slightest, especially now as her hands start to move around his body and he tightens his grip on her waist, one hand sliding down to her hips, giving her hip a firm but gently squeeze.
And that's when it happened.
"OH my!"
Emma said sounding surprised from just the left of them.
She must have left the house, but what was she doing up so late, and outside none the less, but it didn't matter, she just saw, everything.
Hugh breaks the kiss and looks up at Emma like a dear in headlights, as Fiona goes to get up, but gets stopped by Hugh pulling her back down onto his lap so Emma didn't see his very obvious ✨️reaction✨️
Emma just starts backing up awkwardly, but not towards the house, but more towards the beach at the edge of the property. Emma kept eye contact with Hugh as she keeps backing up.
"Wait, don't tell anyone!"
Hugh yells over to emma, only for Emma to yell back
"Same for you, I won't tell if you won't."
"Deal."
Hugh says back before turning back to Fiona.
"We really shouldn't do this."
Hugh whispers to Fiona as he starts to play with her long hair.
"Do we have to stop?"
Fiona asks as she starts gently nipping at his neck, causing Hugh to shiver a little and blush more.
"No, we can continue."
Hugh was so easy to convince, and Fiona loved it.
"Good."
Fiona states as she shifts against his lap, causing him to groan a little, burying his face against her shoulder as to not let any bee's out.
She chuckles a little as she lifts his head up to kiss him more.
They kiss a bit more and more touching and caressing, before the two teens just lay in the grass together, Fiona tucked in his arms as they look at the stars.
Most of the time they're goal wasn't to get off or anything, just to mess around and give eachother some love.
