Soulmate.
It was something Dick had truly prayed for. Someone who he could share a connection with on such a profound level that he could communicate without words. It seemed like a fairy tale, a story about people’s souls that were made for each other; souls that would connect on an elemental level and generate some power between the individuals in question. A power that could heal or destroy them, a tempest really, a raging storm within that demanded constant control if soulmates were to be in close proximity. A blessing and a curse, because a price had to be paid for something so powerful.
