It was definitely a strange place to be. Taiya had been invited to an event by someone he had done business with in the past. He was allowed to bring a plus one, but had somehow managed to convince whoever was in charge of the roster to let him bring two guests.
Taiya, Genba, and Ishiro entered a fancy building. They entered into a small hallway. After talking with the person taking the attendance, they were allowed into a giant room. There were many people around, all dressed in fancy business attire.
"This is not what I was expecting." Ishiro commented quietly as they walked in. "Not sure what I was expecting though."
"We do not belong here." Genba said.
"Well, we do, apparently." Taiya responded. "I have to go find him now. You two can... have fun?"
"We can't join you?" Ishiro questioned.
Taiya shook his head. "This is a private meeting. I'll tell you what he said after."
"Just be careful. There's already people giving us the side-eye for just walking in here."
"I will. See you in a bit." Taiya smiled at the two of them and then vanished into the crowd.
Genba and Ishiro looked at each other for a while. Neither seemed to want to take the lead. What were they supposed to do while they waited for Taiya to get back? They didn't know anyone here and from the look of, people weren't going to be friendly to them if they tried to strike up a conversation with anyone.
"Shall we... uh, look around?" Genba suggested.
"Maybe we'll find something to do."
The two began cautiously walking around the room. They did their best to steer clear of anyone else. The last thing they needed was to accidently get into a fight by offending someone by their presence.
"I hope this meeting doesn't take too long." Ishiro said. "And that Taiya agrees to just go home immediately after. I do not want to be here."
"I agree with that." Genba nodded.
They were very out-of-place in this building. Even if they had put on more business-like clothing (well, Genba at least. Ishiro was always wearing that attire), they were still the oddballs and it was obvious. All these people seemed to know each other.
Ishiro and Genba mostly kept to the side, trying to find empty places to stand. They would move spots every now and again to see if they could spot Taiya anywhere. They hadn't exactly said where to meet up once this was all over. They'd just have to keep an eye out until someone spotted the other.
...
"Don't you think it's been a bit too long for a meeting?" Genba questioned.
It had been almost two hours. There was still no sign of Taiya anywhere in this place.
"I don't know. They could have a lot to talk about." Ishiro shrugged. "I wish he would've told us something about what he was going to talk about."
"Are you sure we shouldn't go look for him more? I don't know. Something just feels off here."
"I've been trying to ignore that feeling..."
"Come on. Let's just take a quick look around."
Ishiro nodded. The two began walking around once more, now going and slipping into some side rooms. They weren't seeing much around. This area of the building was vacant. No one had any reason to be over here, they supposed. Hopefully no one was getting suspicious about what they were doing searching around over here.
"See anything?"
"No."
"There's another hallway down there. I'm going to go check it out quick." Ishiro said.
"Okay." Genba nodded. "I'll keep guard."
Ishiro rolled his eyes at the comment, and then moved down the hall. It was empty, as usual. A few painting and the like hung on the walls. And then he came to a door. Two doors. Bathrooms, from the look of it. Neither had a gender sign on it though. Guess they all held the same things then.
Ishiro shrugged and opened the first door. It was dark, but as he stepped in, the light turned on from a sensor. It was a normal bathroom. Some stalls and sinks. Not much to see. Ishiro stepped out and opened the other door. As he stepped in and the lights turned on, his heart sank.
He backed up and looked back down the hall. "Genba. Come here."
He didn't want to yell in case there was anyone else around, but he heard footsteps approach and Genba appeared in his sight before long.
"What is it?" Genba asked.
Ishiro looked back at the once again closed bathroom door. "He..."
Genba eyed him with concern and pushed open the door. "Oh..."
Taiya was in the bathroom. He was sitting on the floor, leaned up against an empty wall. His eyes were closed and he didn't appear to be conscious. That wasn't the concerning thing. The most concerning part was that it was obvious something bad had happened. His clothes were very clearly ruffled and probably thrown back on him haphazardly.
Genba was the first to walk over to him. He gently looked him over, moving him slightly to look as well.
"What do you... think happened?" Ishiro asked quietly, kneeling down next to him and worriedly looking Taiya up and down.
"Do you really want me to say it?"
"No..."
"Let's get him home. Before whoever did this comes back."
Ishiro moved closer and picked up Taiya. The latter didn't stir and hung limply in Ishiro's arms. Genba reached over and tried to fix his ruffled clothes a little bit.
"We can't exactly walk out the way we came with him like this." Ishiro said. "What do we do?"
"I think I saw another exit nearby." Genba replied. "Let's go."
They cautiously made their way out and back the way they had come. Genba was right and they did find another exit. They slipped out into the night and made their way to their vehicle. It was a very quiet and tense ride home. Neither knew what to say to what they had discovered.
Ishiro hauled Taiya up to his room and left him to rest on his bed. He let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding and sat down on the edge of the bed. Genba pulled up a seat that was placed in the corner of the room to join him. They sat in silence for a while, not knowing where to start.
"Is there anything we can do?" Ishiro questioned quietly.
"I don't think so until he wakes up." Genba replied, sparing a glance at Taiya.
Ishiro clenched his hands into fists. "Did that bastard ask him to go there just to do this to him...?"
"I hope it wasn't him but..."
There was a small groan from Taiya. Both men jumped up and moved to his side. Taiya scrunched up his face and then slowly his eyes opened. His gaze was foggy and he looked disoriented as his eyes moved to look around.
"Taiya..." Ishiro was the first to speak, his voice barely above a whisper.
Taiya blinked and his gaze seemed to focus on Ishiro now. "I... Ishiro..."
"You're okay now... it's... it's okay." Ishiro placed a hand on his cheek. Hearing Taiya use his name and not his nickname was not a good sign at all.
Taiya closed his eyes and rolled onto his side, facing away from them. Ishiro and Genba exchanged worried looks. Then they heard crying.
"Hey..." Genba spoke this time, placing a hand on Taiya's shoulder.
"Go away..." Taiya sobbed.
"We aren't leaving you like this." Ishiro stated firmly.
Genba managed to pull Taiya back onto his back. Taiya tried to shy away, but Genba quickly grabbed him and pulled him up and into a hug. Ishiro didn't take long to join him. The two hugged Taiya tightly as the sobbing got louder.
"What happened? Who... hurt you?" Ishiro asked. "If you're ready to talk about it, that is."
"Who do you think..." Taiya whispered.
"What did he do to you?"
"I don't... I don't really know." Taiya said quietly, his voice wavering as he continued. "I... we were talking and then my head started hurting. I... I went to the bathroom and then he was there and I don't know..."
"He drugged you...?"
"I guess so..." Taiya sniffled.
"Do you remember anything else?" Genba asked.
"Just... vaguely. I was nodding in and out of consciousness. I just... I know it hurt... It hurt so much..." Taiya whispered. "He... raped me, didn't he...?"
"It looked that way."
Taiya grabbed onto Genba's shirt tightly, his sobbing returning. Genba pressed a kiss to his head and rubbed his back. Ishiro moved in closer and pressed some kisses to his cheek. They did what they could to soothe him until he calmed down again.
"I want to take a bath..." Taiya said as his crying stopped. "I feel..."
He didn't finish his sentence, but they all knew what he meant.
"Alone?"
There was a very aggressive head shake of no from Taiya at the question.
"I'll start the bath." Ishiro offered, seeing as he was the most free to move around.
Genba nodded to him and then went back to pampering Taiya with affection. Taiya didn't loosen his hold at all until they went to the bathroom.
The three were able to share the bath no problem. And now with Taiya naked, it was very obvious that he had been assaulted. There were marks all over his body. Taiya tried to avoid looking in any mirrors. He wished it had all been a dream.
They sat silently in the bath for a while. Neither Genba nor Ishiro really knew what to say. How were they meant to offer comfort for this?
Taiya leaned up against Ishiro, resting his head on his shoulder. Ishiro reached over and grabbed one of his hands.
"How do you feel?" Ishiro asked. "Does anything hurt?"
"It's okay." Taiya replied.
"Just let us know if you need anything, okay? We're here to help. I'm sorry we couldn't have prevented this from happening in the first place."
"It's... not your fault."
"Even if it isn't, we still feel guilty seeing you like this." Genba said, moving against Taiya's side.
Taiya looked down. "I... hate myself for letting it happen. I should've... I should've realized..."
"Hey. None of that." Ishiro placed his finger over Taiya's lips. "This is not your fault, Taiya. Do not ever think you did anything wrong."
"Sorry..." Taiya whispered.
They fell into an awkward silence for a while. At some point, Genba had taken the initiative to start actually doing some cleaning. He started washing Taiya's hair. Taiya didn't seem to mind and just closed his eyes and let it happen.
The rest of the bath was mostly silent. They got out, dried off, and dressed up. They went back to the bedroom. Taiya curled up under the covers.
"I'm tired..." He mumbled.
"Want some cuddles?" Genba questioned, already climbing into the bed.
Taiya nodded. Genba and Ishiro embraced him from their respective sides. Taiya let out a small sigh of content.
"Goodnight." Ishiro said. "If you need us wake us up. Okay?"
Taiya hummed in acknowledgement. They all closed their eyes and tried to sleep. Both kept a firm hold on Taiya, hoping to chase away any nightmares that might think of plaguing his dreams tonight.
Tomorrow, they were going to do something about that man. Even if they hadn't said anything, Genba and Ishiro were both in agreement they were getting him back from what he did to their boyfriend. No one laid on hand on him and got away with it.
And... if he was willing to do that to Taiya, how many other victims did he already have or plan to get? Neither liked the thought of letting that man hurt anyone else the way he had Taiya either. He was going down one way or another.
But for now, they had Taiya to focus on. They needed to make him feel better after what had happened to him.
