When Diluc spot’s the girl he has to do a double talk because why on earth is this little girl all alone on the side of the road. His horse come to a sudden halt as he pulls back the reins and jumps off the horse
“Hello.. Umm are you alright” he says a bit awkwardly, he’s not very good with kids.
“Klee’s really good!” she exclaims “Klee was following a crystal fly and i was running for like a really long time like 7 minutes, and then klee caught it see” the little gir- Klee yelled as she threw out her hands to show a small crystal.
“That’s very cool Klee bu-” he began but was interrupted by a startled gasp
“How do you know Klee’s name!” she gasped looking up at him with a very surprised look on her face.
Because you just said it Diluc think as he looks at the girl trying to figure out f she’s joking or not.
“Umm do you know where your parents are?, i could bring you to them if you’d like” he looked down at the girl, still trying to figure out how she got all the way out here on foot, when they heard a large crack coming from inside the wood’s.
normanly he would have gone to see whatever was there but it seemed to scare the girl as she startled so hard she tripped over her own feet and cut her leg. He looked down at her frozen, he hated when kid’s cried, it was so awkward and he never knew what to do an- and she cried.
He really didn't know how to comfort her so she knelt down in front of her to see how deep the cut was, lucky it was just a scrape. So he tried to ask her if she knew where her family was again not really expecting an answer because of the crying.
“ b-big brother Albedo is doing important work stuff, but Klee is staying with Klee's other big brother till big brother Albedo gets back.
Albedo?
Albedo has a sister? He had always thought Albedo was sketchy, but he didn’t really know that much about him, he especially didn’t know he had a sister.
If Albedo is really univaliable doing his business i guess i’ll have to contact-
“Wait another brother, Albedo has a brother too?
Can you tell me your other brother’s name, I can find him for you” Dulic said, looking back at the forest and slowly walking him and the girl away from it.
Klee look excitingly at him “ YA big brother ka-”
Crack
Klee’s wide eyes looked up at him, she looked so scared, before he even knew what he was doing he was picking klee up in his arms and soothing her.
“oh, uh, umm, Shh shh it's okay” he said wiping her tears and looking around helplessly hoping for the girl’s brother to just appear and take her back, he really doesn't know what to do with a kid, especially not a crying kid.
“ Hey, it’s uh, okay, how about I take you back to my place and we’ll get you all healed up and find your brother.. Okay” he said that last bit, hopefully he really wouldn't know what to do if the girl refused to come back to the manor with him, he couldn't just leave her here on the side of the road.
Thankfully the little girl didn't seem to know the meaning of stranger danger and just said “ Really you’ll fix klee’s knee for klee!” seemingly forgetting what she was crying about and the fact that there’s blood dripping down her knee.

It’s safe to say that when diluc brought home a child they were both a little shocked, “ Klee, Adelinde- Adelinde, Klee” he said as he brought Klee into the living to have Adelinde fix up her knee.
“Master Diluc, may I speak with you for a moment” delinde asked when she had finished bandaging up klee’s knee.
“Thank you! Ms. Adelinde” Klee yelled as she jumped up and started hopping on the leg that just got bandaged just to see what would happen.
“Your welcome dear” she said as she guided Diluc out of the room.
“Master Diluc, why do you have a child?” Adelinde asked a twinkle of mischief gleamed in her eye’s but he ignored it.
“ Well I was on my way back here when I saw her on the side of the road and, when I asked her if she knew where her parents were she said ‘big brother Albedo was doing important work stuff’ so she’s staying with her other older brother”.
Adelinde smiled at him, a warm gentle smile. Though Duilc didn’t know what for.
“And do you know the name of said brother ?” she asked. He could tell she knew something, but he didn't know what. “No, when I was asking here we heard something in the wood and she got scared- that how she got hurt, and then I kinda forgot what I was asking her” he’d admitted the last part slightly blushing.
“It’s okay master Diluc we can just as her now and then we’ll get in contact with them-”
She was cut off by the door bell ringing
“Klee will get it!” they hear Klee yell.
“Wait” diluc shouted back.
He might not know much about children but he’s about 99% sure they're not supposed to open doors for stranger’s.
He half expected Klee to have opened the door anyway’s but to his surprise and relief she was standing there waiting for him to come, and an excited look on her face.
“Why are you so excited to open the door?” he asked as they made their way to the door together.
Klee smiled at him “big brother gave me this- she held up her necklaces- and big brother said if Klee gets lost to press it and then big brother will find Klee.”
Diluc looked at her in surprise “your older brothers at the door? He had asked to open the door, he actually wanted to see who her brother was, maybe he knew him-
Kaeya?!
“Big brother Kaeya” Klee squealed as she jumped into his arms “ Klee misses you, look what I got!” Diluc watched frozen as the girl handed his estranged brother- her brother? The crystal fly.
“wow thank you Klee it’s perfect, but please don’t run off lie that again you scared me half to death" Kaeya said as he hugged the girl tighter, a flash of fear coming across his broth- Keayas eye.
Kaeya looked at him with a smirk “ka-” “i'm sorry for the inconvenience master Diluc, Klee here likes to run, thank you for taking time out of your very important day to help, we best be on are way now”
“Kaeya..” he hasn't actually talked to his brother in years, sure he comes to Angel’s share but they don't talk.
And his brother had replaced him, not that he didn’t deserve it after what he did to Kaeya, the burn scars.
“Do you want to come in?” he questioned before he could top himself”
He saw a glint of pure shock shot throw his brother’s face, but as quickly as it came it was gone.
“Well, well, well, if i didn’t know any better i’d say that the great master Diluc just invited us for dinner” Kaeya said i'm the most teasing little brother voice you’d ever hear.
“Klee wants dinner!” Klee had yelled, apparently the only word she heard from the whole conversation.
Kaeya chuckled at her “well master diluc, is that what you were asking? He’d said with a small grin on his face”. Fully expecting Diluc to say ‘no’ and tell them to just leave.
So imagine the shocked look on his face when Diluc said “yes” and waved them inside.
That actually hurt a little a twinge of guilt spiking his heart when he realized his baby brother really thought he would just kick him out- again. Wow it's no wonder Kaeya got a new sibling, what kind of brother kick’s out and disowns their only sibling.
“Oh, okay” Kaeya looked lost. Then Kaeya looked at Klee, “can’t wait to have dinner at the famous master diluc’s house.”
As they were walking inside, and they saw Adelinde, it was pretty clear to diluc that she knew Kaeya what klee’s other brother all along judging by the sly grin on her lip as she greeted Kaeya and went off to the start dinner.

To say the wait for dinner was awkward would be putting it gently, lucky they he had Klee, being back inside his childhood home, with Diluc sitting so close to him made his skin heat up.
Not that he would let that show on his face, but he’s pretty sure Adelinde is black mailing Diluc into letting him stay for dinner because why else would she be smirking like and, and why else would Diluc invited him over for dinner.
So instead of focusing on the fact that he was probably only here because Diluc was being black mailed and, his very presence is probably annoying Diluc to his very core, he decided to focus all his stanchion onto Klee.
She was playing with the crystal fly she found.
And now they waited for dinner to be done, he really wanted dinner to be done. This is so awkward.

When they sit down for dinner 20 minutes later, the food looks even better than he had remembered it, and he did remember it.
The countless nights he and Diluc will come home to a nice family dinner after a long endless day of playing and just enjoying each other's company.
They had been the best of brother’s, nobody could separate them, they loved each other so much, well Kaeya still loved his brother, he just wished he deserved his brother to love him back. But he didn’t, he didn’t deserve his brother’s love not now and not when they were kids he will never deserve Diluc’s love.
Because he was tainted, and Diluc was so pure, and he’s still tainted, and no matter what Diluc does or who he becomes, to Kaeya he will always be the sweet older brother who took care of him when he had nightmares, and taught him to swim.
Diluc might have thought that Kaeya was always a liar, and maybe he was but he had never lied about loving him.

Diluc watched as everyone started to stand up from the table, that dinner did not go as he wanted. The only person talking was Klee and when Kaeya said anything it was either a slide remark or he was talking to Klee.
“That was delicious, just as i remember, Thank you Ms. Adelinde but I'm afraid we will half to be on our way, you see Albedo is coming home tonight” Kaeya said and his attention slowly moved to Klee at the end of this sentence.
“Really?! Big brother Albedo’s coming home, Klee's so happy Big brother’s been gone for like 300 days” Klee exclaimed. Diluc watched as his brother laughed, home? Does Kaeya live with Albedo and Klee?. “He’s only been gone for 3 days but I get what you mean, I miss him too.” Kaeya said softly, smiling down at Klee as he picked her up.
As he pick up his little sister and started towards the door,
Diluc awkwardly followed him to the door to say goodbye, “well uh, this was a nice dinner, we should.. Do it again sometime.”
Kaeya looked slightly a take back bye the request, but nonetheless smiled softly at him, “ yes , we should”
And with that Kaeya walked out the door, little sister in hand, but it was going to be okay because, they will have dinner again another time, and one day they will talk about it but for now they will wait for the next dinner they will have together.
