Chapter Text
Marco had always been a shy boy, he wouldn't call it shyness but being cautious of everything. Every step measured, every minute recorded, and every social encounter was with a porpouse.
He couldn't be more different from Guy Hamndon who was a profesional at improvissing plans because he never had a plan moving foward.
It was a wonder this two ever got along, let alone share powers and fight monsters together.
Together they had amounted a list of allies that ran from mutal aquantances to life long friendships. They had nickname this helper group "The Entourage" consisting of Jackie Lynn Thomas the flying skater, Janna Ordones the wild witch and Maz Kepler the costume master.
Today at Marco's dimension a discussion was taking place, a peace meeting that couldn't be postponed any longer.
Marco's house had been declared neutral ground for both parties. The entourage had been declared jury on the matter.
Marco was the one to oversee negociations. On one side was Guy and his sister Kelly. Both Hamndon twins had been staring and their oponent for long; Guy was glancing often at Marco witch had not gone unoticed by him.
But Kelly was staring daggers at the other side of the table.
This was ocupied by Star Butterfly and her partner Gal Hamdom, Star had changed a lot. She had shaved half of her hair and painted it purple. Her hair was long on the left in order to hid her uncolored eye.
Kelly was the exact oposite, Formal, with a sweater vest and reading glasses. Her hair prim and perfect on a ponytail.
Kelly pulled a folder "Well, This is the latest proposition from our part I think you will find it…"
Star raised an ax and slammed it on the table, cutting the folder in half and making Marco and Kelly gasps Lously. "My table!" whimpered Marco, "My folder!" said Kelly as she stood up.
"That's what I think of your proposition" said Star confident.
"Hmp! Good thing I have spares" Kelly pulled out from her backpack several folders. She slid them across the table towards StarButterfly who in a quick succesion chopped them all in half. Marco watched in horror how his table was being assaulted over and over until it broke it half,this didn't stopped Kelly, She was just throwing the folders at Star.
"I tough we were here to discuss things peacefully" said Maz. Janna was leaning on her chair and chomping on some popcorn "I just came here to see how long it took them to fight, Speaking of with…Pay up Hamndon" Guy rolled his eyes and payed up Janna.
Marco looked to Guy "Seriusly?!" Guy shrugged and went to stop his sister who had stopped throwing folders and was yelling a torrent of abuse directed at Star Butterfly, with words so refuscated that most of the table didn't know what they meant at all.
Guy was holding his sister back while Guy has holding her partner.
"At least read them before to chop them!" demanded Kelly
"Never!" screamed Star defiantly.
"Come on! I worked all weekend on this! They even have little graphs and colors!" said Kelly frustated.
"All weekend? Girl you need to get a hobby" said Guy.
Kelly glared at her brother.
"Why won't you give Tom another chance" said Kelly frustated. Star crossed her arms "First, You don't know Tom like I do! I know he is up to something" Kelly crossed her arms and curved her mouth, She didn't enjoyed Star dissing on Tom but she put up with it "Second, It's might be a ploy to get me to go home and I still haven't found the spell book" upon hearing this Janna dropped her Popcorn to the floor.
"W-Well, We have all been looking for it" said Janna. "It could be anywhere"
"And Third" Star tough for a moment "I don't have a third reason but, I don't know why you care!" Kelly curved her mouth "Well, I don't know why he cares so much either but he wanted to make peace with you or why I gotta play Devil's Advocate here…"
Maz laughed "Jah! I get it"
"That explains why she was dressed so formal for this meeting" said Jackie.
"Nah, That's just the way she dresses" replied Guy.
"Ahem!" interrupted Kelly loudly. "As I was saying, He wants you on the party. I can vouch for him, this is not a trap"
Star crossed her arms and looked away. "He did requtested me to say something" said Kelly softly "He said that he is not the only one with horns"
This seemed to losen up Star. She looked at Kelly"Fine, I'll go"
"Then it's settled. Pleasure doing bussiness with you" She walked towards Marco who was preparing the dimensional scissors to open up a portal to get everyone to go back home. Guy elbowed Kelly who groaned. "Fine! You are all invited to the Blood moon ball"
The Entourage emited a loud "Hurray!" From behind the door Mazi appeared out of nowhere screaming "Huraah!" Kelly jumped "Ah! Where did you come from?"
"I hid once I saw Star grab her axe" replied Mazi sheepishly.
The whole entourage cheered. Guy stopped and looked at Star and Gal; Gal was talking to Mazi, Guy walked towards Star "Hey, Is everything alright?" he asked concenred for the rebel princess.
Star smiled "What? Everything is alright. Why wouldn't it be? Just going to a big fancy bawl that my ex boyfriend is throwing"
Guy nodded "So that fine, Eh?"
Star shrugged "I guess, I just have a lot on my head and we haven't found any trace of what I am missing or the book. What if this is a trap?"
Guy tough "Hey, Don't worry. Me and Marco have your back. Princesses stick together" said Guy with a smile. Star hugged Guy "Thanks sister" Guy wanted to correct Star that he was her bro, not brother, not sister, just her bro; but he just hugged her back.
Soon Star, Gal and Mazi left using Star's own dimensional scissors. Next Marco had to help Guy, Kelly and Maz to return to their own dimension since Heckapoo only gave them one pair of scissors.
He glanced at the destroyed table and gave a big sight as he went to get a broom to pick up the pieces; He didn't even know what to tell his parents. Could he have asked Star money for repairs? Do they have money on Star's dimension?
Well, She was staying with Gal, Would the money grom Guy's or Gal's demantion be any good here?
Lost in this train of tough he returned to find both Jackie Lynn and Janna helping to mend the table. This made Marco smile.
"I guess I have my own Kelly and Maz as well" said Marco out loud teasing Janna and Jackie. Jackie chuckled while Janna punched Marco softly on the shoulder.
"It's not a bad idea" said Jackie Lynn out loud "We could try to fight crime or something" she said. If this was any other person Marco wouldn't even consider the idea, but since it was Jackie the one who asked Marco responded with a gleamming "Sure"
"Is there even any crime on Echo Creek?" said Janna as she gathered more splintered wood into big garbage bags. "Like, If someone shop lifts; Would you use the lazer lipstick to chop people in half?"
"Well, No. Oviously no" Awnsered Marco
"Man, I never get to see you cut people in half" said Janna angry dropping the garbage back on the floor in frustation.
"You are not incorrect, There aren't really any supervillians or monsters here that require a ninja princess to take them out" said Jackie seriusly
Marco hadn't tough about it like that. He was basically a Ninja with a lethal make up kit and a pretty purple dress.
"Not villians, but there are plenty of monsters for us to hunt" said Janna pulling out a map "Ghost, Gobblings, and cryptids roam echo creek at night"
Marco scoffed "No way those are real"
"Ice monsters and candle witches are real but monsters are not real" said Janna
"Those are…Different" said Marco without having a real reply for Janna's question
"Alright, How about this…" Janna stood up and showed a spot on her map "There is one, Not far from here. The mud woman. If she is real I get to choose what you'll wear on the blood moon ball"
"W-What? Why would I…" Marco was about to protest but then Jackie replied "Deal!" and shakedhands with Janna. Marco was cut off from any further protest.
"I don't have any say on this do I?" said Marco disgrunted,
Using the winged boards made the trip very easy. Marco and Janna had some difficulty with the navigation, but Jackie Lynn Thomas had taken to it easily.
Marco had forgotten his board on the last advanture and Janna hadn't been able to replicate the spell, But Guy had gifted Marco his own board, He could fly on his own and didn't need the board so he gifted it to Marco.
Marco's toughs lingered a lot on Guy, Maybe it was the powers they both shared or the fact that his world opened up once he meet Guy, but it seemed he couldn't have Guy out of his head for long.
How brave he was, how strong he was, he was a mess of a man and couldn't keep his own room clean, but he also was so brave and clever.
Marco's heart raced, beating harder as he remembered all the time he and Guy were together.
His train of tough was interrupted as the melodious voice of Jackie said "We are here"
Together they decended down, Jackie and Marco were fast and decended to the ground with no problem, while Janna took her tim and decended slowly. She sitted on her board instead of just ridding it so she was slower; She was also playing in her phone.
Marco was surprised at how much of a spellcaster Janna had turned out to be she was amazing to say the least.
Soon they landed at a the "Mud Pitts" on a park. Marco was glad he wasn't wearing his princess outfit to this place.
"Well, Let's search" said Jackie hugging Marco with one hand "We go low while you go high, the first one to find the mud woman must do the signal"
Janna gave a thumbs up and flew up.
Marco realised he was alone with Jackie. His eyes widened in exitement.
"So, We are all alone now? Huh?"
Jackie smiled "Is this the first date you imagined?" she awnsered teasingly.
Marco blushed "Well, I…You know.. Umm…"
Jackie giggled "I'm joking, Unless…"
Marco's eyes widen. He then gasped and he pushed Jackie Lynn.
A long whip like arm hit marco from behind sending him flying to the mud. Jackie gasped in surprise "Marco!" she yelled.
Marco having recived the attack without his transformation felt how his back bruised. He struggled to get up, it had been made worse by the mud covering his clothes encumbering him; making it more difficult for him to move.
A hulking figure stood before Marco. It's eyes glowing a deep yellow, It was humanoid but covered head to toe in mud, it's eyes glowing and beaming so much they shined trough the mud.
It raised it's hands and tried to hit Jackie, she managed to barely jump out of the way. Despite it's size it was fast. Jackie took her board and tried to fly up, with a leap the mud woman caugh up to her and grabbed her.
Jackie was trapped on a bearhug. She struggled trying to get out. She managued to slip away tanks to the mud that covered the monster.
The mud woman roared and grabbed a tree trunk easily and raised it above her head. It was brough down to slam Jackie, She wasn't able to roll out of the way, Jackie closed her eyes and out up her hands to try and shield herself from the impact.
The tree did not damagued Jackie, it had been cut in half surprising both the monster and Jackie. In front of Jackie was Marco with his princess outfit, quick like a lighting bolt Marco had transformed and had rushed to help Jackie, Using his lazer lipstick he had cut the tree trunk in half.
The monster tossed the three trunk aside and ran towards Marco, Marco jumped up and threw two boomerangs to the head of the monster. This had no effect as a thick layer on mud covered the monster, the boomerang brushes stuck to the mud on the side of the head of the monster with a loud *squish*
Marco was punched by the mud monster, this time with his transformation he could withstand the punch. So much so that he managed to spin around on the air and land with no problem.
He tried to jump and attack the monster but he was stopped, His legs here sinking into Mud.
The monster ran, it was slow since it was uncomvered by the mud but it's sheer strenght and power power trough it.
Marco struggled to move, The mud was slowing him a lot, he managued to jump back, but barely.
Marco got an idea and pulled a can. "Taste some spray!" he evaded the monster. Rolling out of the way of it's attacks, hitting it with spray each time he had the oportunity.
Janna had returned and was helping Jackie up. Both stared at Marco spraying the monster.
"I think Marco's pony tail is pulling at his brain, He finally went mad" said Janna as she pulled Jackie out of the mud into her own winged board "He is attacking a monster with bug spray"
"Take a closer look, That's super hair spray!" said Jackie.
The monster was unable to move, between the hairspray and the mud it was being turned into a hard solid substance. Eventually it was completly paralized.
Marco smiled and returned the hair spray to his beautiulity belt. Struggling with his dress, he navigated out of the mud.
He tough for a second and said "Sheyeah!" turning back into his normal clothes.
They were still full of mud.
Then he said "You go girl!" turning into his princess self again. His clothes and gear were repaired and without mud "Huh…How convinient" he tough to himself.
He also cheecked on the hair spray. It was full again.
He arrived to a patch of grass without mud and looked at the monster. He placed his hands on his hips and proudly said "Well, Another job well done"
Jackie and Janna arrived "Do you know what this means?" said Janna seriusly.
"I do" replied Marco exited
Both Marco and Jackie said "There are monsters in Echoo creek!" Janna then replied "And I get to choose what you'll wear to the gala"
Marco blushed and cover himself "W-What are you going to do to me?"
Jackie and Janna hugged Marco.
"We are going to do out best" said jackie with a wide smile
"You two set me up!" screamed Marco in protest. The girls didn't awnsered and giggled.
