Work Text:
The sun never rises over Yokohama, at least not over the Headquarters of the Port Mafia, always showered in moonlight, the building dressed in the same black as all the subordinates inside it. After all they lived in the shadows, and the night had plenty, covering all of them, allowing them the freedom they so desired.
Port Mafia boss, Osamu Dazai was supposed to have a meeting at this time, but it seems like their guests seemed to be running late. Chuuya was pacing around the office, stressed by the delay in meetings and Dazai didn’t bother calming him down, after all as long as the guests came he didn’t care about the details.
Suddenly he hears the big doors to the office open, and so he spins around in his chair to see the guests, greeting them politely
-“Good to see you, boss.” The new people spoke, bowing slightly, to which Chuuya walks over pushing them to their knees by kicking them in the back of the knee harshly, looking down at them with a clear glance of disgust.
-“Bow properly to the boss, assholes.” Chuuya spoke, walking away from the people who accepted his treatment with a scoff, kneeling on floor and awaiting the boss to speak.
-“Chuuya, don’t make our guests uncomfortable. You can stand up, that’s quite enough. Have a seat please.” Dazai spoke as he felt Chuuya stand stiff at his right side. He saw the guests stand up and take their seats in front of him.
Their company consisted of two big, well built man, and a tiny chick who had a huge bag she hid behind her body. Weird, but if it was anything dangerous it would’ve been spotted by the detectors, so Chuuya rest easy. It wasn’t as if he was stressed, he was confident enough in himself to assure that nothing would ever even dare touch his boss, after all he took his job very seriously and while he hated that asshole only he was allowed to hurt him, or touch him in general.
-“Sir, we have something to propose to you, trust me its a deal that you cant pass on!” One of the men speaks loudly and excitedly, pushing a document towards Dazai who didn’t bother taking it, just looked over it and shrugged.
-“Eh, doesn’t look like something the Mafia is in need of. We have plenty of cheaper routes to this place, paying for another one would be a waste.” Dazai speaks, clearly bored of their presence now, as he considered them useless.
Suddenly he hears a bark come from the ladies bag as a small dog jumps out onto the floor of the office. Dazai watches it with disgust written all over his face, as he makes a small symbol to Chuuya who groans in annoyance, but he knew his partners dislike for dogs better than anyone and makes his way to the dog, picking it up and twisting its head, breaking it with ease, and leaving the body on the floor, the former lively creature now laying limp on the floor of the office. The lady who brought the dog screamed in shock and ran to the dogs side, crying and shrieking, throwing the first thing she got her hands on towards the boss, object that was easily stopped by Chuuya who got in front.
-“The boss dislikes dogs, we have a strong policy against animals in the building.” Chuuya explains, unfazed by the lady’s reaction.
-“Kill him, Keiko! He killed my baby!! He killed by poor, innocent baby!” The lady screams at one of the men with her who shakily points a gun towards the boss.
-“Chuuya, clean them up, please?” Dazai speaks softly, more asking than ordering his partner, who moves quickly, killing the two men swiftly by using his ability on their heads, causing them to explode, scrunching up in a disgusting manner as the blood flew around the room. Finally he reaches the lady, who sat on the ground with the body of her dog in her lap, paralysed in fear, yet her tears aren’t going to save her against the wrath of gravity. Chuuya slit her throat from behind, pushing her body to lay on the floor, the blood pooling under her as her suffocating noises filled the room until silence took their place. Chuuya quickly called over the clean up crew, a bunch of subordinates that were specialised in this and watched them take the bodies away, the blood around getting cleaned off quickly.
-“What a bunch of dumbasses, threatening the boss with me present. D’you think they were just suicidal?” Chuuya asks, taking his spot back, disinterested in what the rest of the night has prepared for them.
-“Mm, who knows? They might just be very stupid?” Dazai spoke, waving his hand in an uncaring manner.
-“Disgusting, thinking they can come in here and order you around.” Chuuya spoke leaning against the boss’s chair, clearly still pissed off by the attitude displayed by the man who came here. Dazai moved back in his chair letting Chuuya lay over him, after all they’ve shared seats since they were young and they knew how to sit most comfortably for the both of them. Chuuya made himself comfortable, stretching as his neck fell over the chair and he kept mumbling about things that piss him off, as Dazai simply sat there letting him rant, sometimes letting out a chuckle and working on some papers Gin left in his office this morning.
-“Chibi, d’you think you can request Atsushi up here? I need to speak something with him.” Dazai spoke, his thigh shaking up and down making Chuuya’s seat uncomfortable, as the older man sat up and looked at him confused.
-“What do you need that little punk for?”
-“Chuuya, get going.” Dazai spoke again, more authority in his tone this time around. And Chuuya scoffs but does as he is told, leaving the room and calling for Atsushi.
The tiger came quickly, followed into the office by Chuuya, but he can tell from the look on Dazai’s face that something was planned and it was strictly between these two.
-“Chuuya, wait outside.” Dazai spoke, shoo-ing him away, indifferent to his presence. Normally he would argue back, but the kept his mouth shut leaving the office, waiting right in front of the door. He could not hear what went on in the office, but he would be able to tell if a fight started and that was enough for him.
The impromptu meeting between the two was taking way to damn long, and so Chuuya barged back into the office only to be met by emptiness, his boss and subordinate gone, most likely through the hole in the window. He could feel his panic rising, a red aura surrounding him as he walks into the office, leaving an indent into the floor, his feet heavy.
-“The boss is gone! Get the searching team out, fucking hell!” Chuuya screams, making sure he was heard by pretty much the whole building.
Having no trust in absolutely no one in the building anymore, he jumps out the window and starts looking around himself. Who would have any motive to steal the boss? Loads of people. If he couldn’t find out who exactly took him he would just go slaughter each and every single one of their enemies until he found the boss. He didn’t care about the consequences, having his partner back was worth everything. He would kill everyone around if Dazai so requested, and he would do it regardless of anyone else.
He did search everywhere he could in such a short time, and decided that it would take to long to find him the proper way with hints and detective bullshit. Brute force will always be quicker, he thought as he already slaughtered everyone in two warehouses owned by their enemies, and he could feel himself grow more and more pissed off with every person tortured that wouldn’t spill anything of importance. Yet he didn’t give up, finger crushed after another, broken bones after another, he murdered so many people he gave up on even counting and he wasn’t planning on stopping until he found his special someone.
Dazai was on the floor of a warehouse somewhere in the other side of the city, laying on his side and curled up to better take the impact of the blows dealt by an older man who clearly wasn’t holding back with his kicks. This was of course all planned, yet the pain was still a lot, he almost regretted choosing this path for the mission, but it would prove to be most rewarding. He let some blood drool out his mouth, his cheek pressed onto the ground as he spotted a man walking over to him with a fired up blade, the slightly orange tone of the metal striking some fear even into him. He feels the men drag him and push him onto his back, pulling his pants down to his knees, while the man with the blade walked over and started cutting their organisation’s logo into the soft flesh of his thigh. Dazai shrieked in pain, biting his lip to hold back on screaming, after all he knew it shouldn’t be long until his beautiful guard dog should barge into the building. His prediction was on spot, as he sees the strawberry blond hair he adored so much barge into the building, and he knew Chuuya spotted him just as quickly as he saw the red marks cover his skin, pulling his skin apart, ripping him from the inside, and the last words everyone else heard in the room were ‘O acquaintances, grantors of dark disgrace, ye need not wake me again!’ before they could feel their bodies being destroyed, every atom being pulled apart by the brute force of gravity, a pain that was so unbearable they almost begged to be killed faster, their wished being quickly granted as they got ripped apart by gravity. Dazai unlocked the hand cuffs with ease and walked over to Chuuya, pressing a hand against his cheek.
-“Was corruption really necessary? Im sure you could’ve killed them with ease regardless.” Dazai speaks with a smile letting Chuuya fall against him, as he took a seat back on the ground, letting Chuuya rest against the thigh that wasn’t marked.
Chuuya groaned, but he could feel his eyes widen as he spotted the burn mark on his partners thigh. He looks up at his boss with an indescribable anger in his eyes.
-“So you belong to them, asshole? How’d they even take you, I was at the door, I would’ve heard. If only you weren’t so secretive this wouldn’t have happened.” Chuuya speaks, regaining some of his strength to sit up and take a better look at the marked thigh. It pissed him off, the thought of someone else’s name on his boss’s thigh, and so he took it in his hands to fix it, pulling out a switchblade which he opens up quickly and proceeds to carve the layer of skin where the logo was burnt in, watching the blood run down his partner’s thigh onto his gloved hands. He brings one of the dirty hands up, running it against Dazai’s cheek, spreading the blood around, looking at him with pure adoration in his eyes.
-“Jealous much, chibi? I’ll let you carve your name in its place if it’d make you feel better.” Dazai spoke with a shrug, uncaring of the state of his body, but Chuuya shook his head and stood up, his body still weak from the dangerous use of corruption. Dazai stood up, limping but still in rest feeling better than Chuuya, letting him wrap an arm over his neck, and walking outside where one of their mafia cars was already waiting.
He didn’t even need to say anything to the driver, the second they stepped into the car, the driver started driving away back towards the huge building where his office was situated, their car swallowed into the night.
