Work Text:
“Hi, Mr. Aizawa! O-oh! Is this your… family?”
Aizawa frowned a little as he lifted his head from where he was sprawled on the beach blanket that had been stretched out over warm, soft, sand. Standing at his feet was one of his current first year students, the young girl’s eyes wide as she swept her gaze from side to side and took in the sight of the group lingering around her teacher. Beside her stood a girl from his third year group, the young woman also glancing around at the large group.
“Yup,” Aizawa sighed, squinting behind his sunglasses as he swept his hand from one side to the other. “All nine of us, plus various partners.”
“Nine?!”
“Mhmm.”
Watching his students for several moments, Aizawa was relieved when the younger of the pair opted not to ask any other questions, though he wondered if it was because she had noticed two of her other teachers were part of the family Aizawa had motioned to. Seeing Mr. Yamada and Mr. Shirakumo kneeling in the sand nearby and building a sandcastle with a young girl with white hair was her undoing, it seemed, the student bowing her head quickly before hurrying off.
The older, on the other hand, frowned a little and pointed at a well known family.
“Your attached to the Todoroki family, too?”
When Aizawa nodded, the girl followed up with a question that many asked: How?
This resulted in a heavy sigh and Aizawa slowly sitting up, eyes still narrowed a little against the sun, despite the sunglasses he was wearing. Motioning towards a blonde who was sitting under an umbrella a bit closer to the water, he began,
“Helios Yamada, my oldest. He’s engaged to Todoroki number three, Natsuo, which means where ever they go, the rest of the horde follows.”
Nodding towards the group in question, Aizawa listed each one with less enthusiasm as he would when listing his own family.
“Todoroki senior, Enji, is married to his agency’s healer, Avalon. His oldest child, Touya, is married to yet another hero, Keigo Takami. Then there’s Natsuo, like I said, who’s with Helios, followed by Todoroki twin number one, Shouto and his pair of loud mouth boyfriends, Katsuki Bakugou and Eijirou Kirishima. That leaves twin number two, Yuki, who is dating Fumikage Tokoyami.”
Aizawa then pointed to a pair of purple haired teens, one who was swimming leisurely while a pair of loud blonde splashed around him, and another who was sitting under an umbrella close to where the water met the sand, legs crossed as a somewhat massive man excitedly found and brought shells to him. Much like an excited puppy, to be honest.
“Back to my family: The Shinsou twins - Hitoshi and his much too energetic boyfriends, Neito Monoma and Denki Kaminari, and then Haru and his boyfriend Inasa Yoarashi.”
He huffed, peering at the group with tired eyes and shaking his head. It hadn’t been a surprise when Hitoshi had started dating Monoma, though it had been a surprise when they both started dating Kaminari. It had come as an absolute shock when he found out that his almost reclusive son, Haru, had entered into a relationship with such a loud man as Yoarashi was.
“From there I have the first of the Shirakumo twins, Azriel, who is sitting beside the giant silver haired Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu who better be nothing more than his friend.”
A head sporting dark red hair popped up at the tone of Aizawa’s voice, peering over at the man who was apparently his father and smiling sheepishly. Indeed Tetsutetsu was carrying Azriel on his shoulders, the two battling against Bakugou, who was sitting on Kirishima’s shoulders. It was the fact that they were two years apart in age and Tetsutetsu was graduated that caused Aizawa to frown - the pair had been friends for two years now, and were very close, but Aizawa had no desire for that to change any time soon.
“Raziel is my quiet one of the pair, thankfully.”
“No partner?” the girl asked and Aizawa smiled, shaking his head. Raziel showed no desire to partner with anyone in any way that was more than platonic, preferring to keep to himself and work on his studies.
“That leaves Eri Aizawa, our youngest, and the artist of the family.”
While the sheer amount of people, and partners, all tied together was indeed impressive, the girl pointed a little further down the beach to where a retired All Might seemed to be standing and chatting with someone.
“Is that…?”
“Indeed,” Aizawa nodded. “Yagi Toshinori. He tends to show up when ever there’s some sort of group outing, even if he hasn’t been invited, and where he goes, the others go. Yumi, his son, and Tenko Shimura, the grandson of his mentor. They got married a few years ago, not that it was a surprise. Those two have always been incredibly close.”
“What about the green haired boy?”
Leaning to one side so he could see who the girl was mentioning, Aizawa snorted and then settled down again.
“Izuku Midoriya, of course. Toshinori is essentially a father to him, and where Midoriya goes, his boyfriend Rody Soul goes. And where ever Soul goes, his little brother and sister, Roro and Lala go.”
“Wow…”
“Mhmm, and then there’s Soul’s adopted sibling, Axel, who married Mezo Shouji.”
“The pregnant one?” the girl asked, her eyes widening.
“Yes, that one. It’s not a common quirk at all, and yet not only is Axel pregnant, one of my students, Hanta Sero, has married his middle school sweetheart, Riku, who is also pregnant.”
“The male pregnancy quirk is rare, isn’t it? But there’s two guys, right there, who are pregnant… Does that mean it’s becoming more common, Mr. Aizawa?”
Aizawa shrugged with a soft smile, leaning back on his arms as he watched the massive group of his family, extended family, and friends, all enjoying the perfect weather and warm water. Quirks were always growing and evolving, and with men slowly having more and more children, it wasn’t a surprise that cases of male pregnancy were growing.
“So you’re all heroes or retired heroes?” the girl was asking again. “Like, you and All Might are retired, but Mr. Yamada and Mr. Shirakumo are still active, and Endeavor, Dabi, Hawks, and Retrograde… and a bunch of the boys here just graduated and are rookie heroes.”
“Helios and Haru, my sons, plus Fuyumi, Natsuo, Yumi, Axel, and Riku are all civilians,” Aizawa pointed out. “Avalon, Azriel, and Raziel are, or will be, hero support, as all healers are considered--”
“Oh, they’re healers? That’s awesome! We always need more healers, that’s so cool!”
“Indeed,” Aizawa chuckled. “And Eri’s future is completely up to her. Right now she’s enjoying being an artist, but who knows what will come next.”
“Who knows what’ll happen with any of us,” another voice chimed in, making Aizawa and his student turn towards the person approaching. It was Helios who was crossing the soft sand, several bottles of chilled soda in hand, and he smiled and nodded at the girl.
“Valon says you’re going to get dehydrated,” he teased, slowly handing off the bottles. “All three of you came here with only supplies for Eri, and you know what happens if you ignore Valon’s orders.”
Helios held out a bottle for the girl who looked a little stunned at his arrival, smiling softly and encouraging her to take it. Healer’s orders, he told her, and that made her smile. She took the bottle with a polite ‘thank you,’ apologized for taking up so much of Aizawa’s time, commented on how happy his family looked, and then promptly headed off in the direction of her friends.
“Most students just gawk at their teachers from a distance,” Helios commented, watching his father take a long drink of water. “What was she asking you about? I doubt it was school work.”
“She was asking about our family, actually.”
“Ah, that’s why she kept looking around with a sort of shocked expression on her face,” Helios chuckled. “It’s mind boggling enough to most people that you have a family at all, let alone ones as old as we are.”
EraserCloudMic Family Tree:
Helios Yamada - 20
Quirk: Genetic Manipulation
- Able to touch someone and remove their quirk, tweak their eye/hair color, remove birth defects
- Adopted (see also: rescued) at age 5 from a villain scientist
- While on a mission, fresh out of high school, the trio came across a woman in nurse’s scrubs who was running with Helios in her arms. She passed Helios to Aizawa and begged him to keep Helios safe, the two of them bloody and roughed up
- She explained that someone was trying to use Helios for terrible things and she wouldn’t allow the boy to be used in such a way, so she took the boy and ran
Introducing Aizawa as Helios’ ‘daddy,’ she assures Helios that the young man in front of them came to take Helios away to somewhere safe, as father’s do. She makes Aizawa promise that he’ll never leave the boy, that he’ll keep Helios safe for the rest of his life, because that’s what a daddy does, and as soon as Aizawa agrees (not that he’s really sure about what he’s saying, he just knows that something serious is happening and the woman is hysterical so he hopes to calm her by saying yes), she runs off
- A violent, oversize, very strong villain chases after her, breaking though a building wall. He chases her down and despite Yamada and Shirakumo’s best efforts, it knocks both of them unconscious, throwing them to the side as he advances on the woman. He hadn’t seen the woman pass Helios off to Aizawa, he’s just chasing her to find the boy
- The villain pins the woman to the wall by her throat, and even with Aizawa (a bit of a distance away, holding the crying Helios) cancelling out the villain’s quirk, the villain is incredibly strong. Yamada is laying off to one side, unmoving, bleeding from where he had been struck in the jaw in an effort to shut him up, and Shirakumo is off to another side, having been throw into a wall
- The building above Shirakumo is crumbling due to the villain plowing through it in the beginning of the battle and no one can get to him, not with Aizawa protecting Helios and no other heroes available
- The villain has grabbed the woman by the throat and pinned her to the ground, demanding to know where Helios is. The woman looks to Aizawa, tears falling, blood trickling from her nose, and she’s silently begging him to release his quirk. Even without hearing her say it, Aizawa knows what she’s asking for, but if he does, the villain will kill her
- He can see the building over Shirakumo coming down, he can feel Helios clinging to him, sobbing, and he’s torn, but the woman… She had trusted Aizawa, an 18 year old rookie hero who was barely out of school, who had just happened to be in the right place at the right time, with something so precious as a heavily traumatized 5 year old boy, and Aizawa needed to trust her with what she was asking
- As soon as Aizawa ends his quirk, the woman slaps a hand against the ground she’s pinned to and she and the villain vanish into a portal. At the same time, Shirakumo is sinking into a portal as well. The three swap places, Shirakumo now suddenly safe, and the woman and the villain are in the way of the crumbling building
- The woman glances to where Aizawa is and there’s a split second where Aizawa swears he can see ‘thank you’ in her eyes and then the villain snaps her neck and she goes limp
- The villain follows the woman’s line of sight and turns to stare at Aizawa, realizing Aizawa is holding the target of his rage and is now the only person between him and Helios, and the villain isn’t aware of what’s going on above him. The villain takes one step away from the woman’s body and the building collapses on him, killing him
- This leaves Aizawa holding Helios, trying to comfort him, assuring him that daddy was there and that he would never leave him, all while he waits for help to arrive
- AYS age 18 at the time of adoption
- Helios refused to be away from Aizawa (from daddy), terrified of anyone else, and it was just easier to hand him over to the trio - especially with his quirk. Even though they’re young, broke, and are living in a tiny apartment, AYS agree to keep the boy
- Helios’ quirk is terrifying, once they truly realize what it is and how it works, and it’s best not to traumatize a child who can rearrange your DNA
- The Hero Commission watches him very closely and requires consistent check ins. Helios can’t leave the city without notifying them first
- Lots of trauma means therapy is required
- Introduced to Natsuo Todoroki (age 7) at the age of 6 to try and help him acclimate into “normal” society
- They quickly became very close and no one was surprised when they fell in love at 16 and 17
- Natsuo, himself, was startled that his friend was in love with him, but he immediately realized he returned the feelings
- Demisexual & Demiromantic, he’s only ever been interested in Natsuo
- He’s very quiet unless around close family, quite reserved, and never talks about his quirk. If anyone asks, Helios says he’s quirkless, and friends and family say the same, respecting Helios’ desire to stay hidden
- In the beginning he’s scared people will hate him for his quirk, but once he’s older and knows exactly where he came from, he’s scared of being used for his quirk
- Blonde hair, blue eyes, average build and height
Hitoshi Shinsou - 18
Quirk: Brainwash
- Can put someone in a state where they are forced to obey whatever he commands after target verbally responds to something he says
- Adopted at age 13 (middle school) with twin brother Haru
- AYS age 28 at the time of adoption
- Bisexual
- Started dating Neito Monoma in second year
- Began a poly relationship with Denki Kaminari in third year
- Indigo hair kept just past shoulder length (but totally not because he’s imitating Aizawa, don’t be silly), purple eyes, average build and height
Haru Shinsou - 18
Quirk: Influence
- Can force someone to move, sleep, or process a bodily function on command. The strength of his influence depends on the mind of the person he’s trying to command
- Example: If someone is already tired and he tells them to sleep, his influence will work more easily. If someone is wide awake, it make take repeated commands for the target to go to sleep
- Lower IQ minds are easily commanded, stronger minds can require repeated commands and some may never be affected
- Adopted at age 13 (middle school) with twin brother Hitoshi
- AYS age 28 at the time of adoption
- Gay
- After being bullied on his first day of school and being rescued by Inasa Yoarashi he sucked Inasa off in the bathroom as a thank you. Inasa invited him to his place for tea and snacks after that first day of school and they had sex
- Everyone thinks Haru is very reserved and innocent and no one (except Hitoshi) knows he and Inasa have been having sex since first year until they come out about their relationship after graduation - everyone thought they were just friends
- Pale, pastel purple hair kept a bit shaggy, dark purple eyes, slender and only 5’4
Shinsou Twins History: People had gotten used to they way Hitoshi’s quirk worked, simply ignoring the male and not answering his questions, but Haru didn’t need someone to respond to him. The lavender haired male, smaller than his twin and quite subdued due to his mistreatment during his childhood, simply had to speak to the person and his quirk would ‘influence’ them to do what he said.
From the very beginning, it had been a problem - when Haru’s quirk surfaced, telling his mother to give him a cookie and the woman responding without wanting to, that had been the last straw for the Shinsou family. Haru’s quirk had appeared a whole year after his brother’s, so when he also had a quirk that made people do things against their will, and didn’t need someone to talk to him first, the Shinsou parents made the choice to give their kids up. At the age of six, Hitoshi and Haru Shinsou were put into foster care. No one wanted children with quirks like theirs, echoing their parents' sentiments about their quirks only being used for negative things and forever speculating that they would become villains. This was why, in second grade, Haru was custom fitted for a muzzle that didn’t allow him to open his mouth even a centimeter, the adults around him - teachers and foster home workers both - not wanting to give him even half a chance to influence their thoughts.
Hitoshi tried to argue that his brother had never intentionally hurt anyone, having learned his lesson very quickly when his one slip up with their parents had led to both of them being thrown away (so to speak), but his words were ignored. Haru was made to wear the muzzle at all times except when eating, which was done in a sealed room, the muzzle removed by an armed security officer who wore two types of hearing protection, or when going to sleep, something also done by security, also involving a secured room. If Haru so much as attempted to open his mouth while the guards were still in the room, he would be shot with a tranquilizer dart, and it wouldn’t be the first time.
By fluke, Shouta Aizawa had heard whispers in the shadowed alleys that villains like to frequent, talking about the purple haired twins who were striking fear into adults even while their were in elementary school. When he went to investigate, Aizawa was greeted with the horrible conditions the twins lived in, even the words written in their official documents making his lip curl in disgust. These were children! No wonder they worried that the Shinsou brothers were going to become villains, he had ranted to his husbands - Hizashi Yamada and Shirakumo Oboro - talking about how treating them as dangerous outcasts was a sure-fire way to send them in the very direction people feared they would go.
So Aizawa and his husbands made a plea to the foster care system to adopt the twins, and while it had taken two years, at the age of thirteen, Hitoshi and Haru were given a new home with people who loved them and wanted to nurture their gifts in a positive fashion. Though, even with his muzzle finally removed and Aizawa arranging for private tutoring for Haru, the small male remained withdrawn and kept to himself, only speaking when he was with Hitoshi and often only whispering in his ear and having Hitoshi repeat things back to the adults.
When Aizawa had enrolled Haru into Shiketsu, the very idea of being away from his brother for hours upon hours at a time was more than enough to send Haru into a full blown melt down, and for the first time Aizawa was able to see the true extent of the teenager’s powers. One would have thought that he would have told Aizawa to leave, which was absolutely within his quirk abilities, or to let him stay with his brother, which was not within his abilities, but instead Haru had stomped his foot, clenched his fists at his sides, and with tears running down his cheeks he had screamed only one word at his adoptive father: SLEEP!
Aizawa didn’t remember hitting the ground, his body immediately dropping as he instantly fell asleep, but apparently he hadn’t been unconscious all that long because he was suddenly faintly aware of the words ‘Wake up’ filtering through his brain and he had blinked awake, his head on Yamada’s lap. Not far away he could hear Haru sobbing as Shirakumo tried to comfort the boy, assuring him that Aizawa was okay and that they all knew that Haru didn’t mean to do any harm, but the trauma was still there.
Soon enough they would understand that Haru’s quirk affected each person differently, it all depended on if the action he was trying to influence them with was something they were already feeling. Considering Aizawa’s perpetually tired disposition, telling him to sleep was more than easy, but for Yamada and Oboro who had been fully awake and not feeling tired at all, the first wave of the word merely making them yawn and stumble a little. Had Haru repeated himself, the pair would become more and more affected, but after the word had slipped from his mouth the first time, Haru had dropped to his knees and curled in on himself, begging for forgiveness.
Azriel Shirakumo - 16
Quirk: Heal
- Allows him to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process via touch. The process requires energy from both Azriel and from the recipient - this could potentially drain enough energy to kill both. Azriel can push more of his energy forward in order to stabilize someone long enough to have the healing work fast enough to repair a devastating injury. This would most likely result in a coma, if not Azriel’s death
- Adopted at age 10 (with twin brother Raziel) as part of the “quirk exchange” project created to bring healers to Japan
- Canada has (sadly) an abundance of children in need of homes and not enough foster homes, or adoptive families, to take them in. While healers are always needed, Japan but forth a good arrangement - money donated to children in need in exchange for children with healing quirks to be sent to Japan to assist heroes when they come of age
- Everyone knows this isn’t the most professional sounding program, and not many have quirks strong enough for what’s needed to help heroes so not a lot are moved to Japan, but children are thriving in both countries
- This is the same project that brought Avalon (see below) to the Todoroki family
- AYS age 29 at the time of adoption
- Bright and outgoing
- Immediately felt drawn to Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu (18) when they meet in his first year (Tetsutetsu’s third) during a bullying incident in UA’s cafeteria. Aizawa is NOT amused but he puts up with it only because the pair are very clearly moving slowly and there’s a lot of “Door must be left open” and “Relationship cannot impact training”
- Spoiler: They didn’t move as slowly as Aizawa thought, but mostly behaved until Azriel was 18
- Pansexual
- Dark red hair kept shaggy to his chin, silver eyes, average build and height
- When he flexes his quirk his eyes slowly shift to black, starting along the outside and working inwards. If he uses his quirk too much, his eyes turn completely black
Raziel Shirakumo - 16
Quirk: Heal
- Allows him to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process via touch. The process requires energy from both Raziel and from the recipient - this could potentially drain enough energy to kill both. Raziel doesn’t have the strength to boost healing as much as his brother does and is best used for standard injuries like broken bones, torn muscles/ligaments, and open wounds
- Adopted at age 10 (with twin brother Azriel) as part of the “quirk exchange” project created to bring healers to Japan - see above
- AYS age 29 at the time of adoption
- Introvert, quiet, keeps to himself
- AroAce
- Light brown hair kept short, silver eyes, average build and height
- When he flexes his quirk his eyes slowly shift to black, starting along the outside and working inwards. If he uses his quirk too much, his eyes turn completely black
Eri Aizawa - 9
Quirk: Rewind
- Allows her to reverse a living individual's body back to a previous state, allowing her to make her target physically younger, heal injuries, and undo bodily modifications
- Adopted at age 7
- AYS age 31 at the time of adoption
- 100% adorable
- White hair kept waist length, red eyes, average build and height for her age
Todoroki Family Tree:
Touya Todoroki - 27

Fuyumi Todoroki - 24
Quirk: Frost
- Ability to generate ice, to both coat herself in it and blast it out
- In a relationship with Rumi Usagiyama
Keigo Takami - 23
Quirk: Fierce Wings
- Large, bright red, feathery wings that allow him to fly, and can telekinetically control the movement and nature of each individual feather with ease, enabling him to harden them into a blade-like state and/or shoot them as projectiles, as well as control their speed and trajectory
- “Adopted” at age 10
- Pansexual
- Absolutely did NOT wait until his wedding night
- We don’t talk about the age gap
Natsuo Todoroki - 21
Quirk: Ice Crystals
- Ability to generate snowflakes/ice crystals that look like an actual snowfall
- Pansexual
- Didn’t realize he was in love with Helios until it was almost too late
- Both families were full -.- when he was like “YOU’RE IN LOVE WITH ME?!?!?!”
Avalon Maxwell - 21
Quirk: Heal
- His mastery of his quirk made him a wonderful teacher for Azriel and Raziel
- Allows him to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process via touch. The process requires energy from both Avalon and from the recipient - this could potentially drain enough energy to kill both. Avalon can push more of his energy forward in order to stabilize someone long enough to have the healing work fast enough to repair a devastating injury. This would most likely result in a coma, if not Avalon’s death
- “Adopted” at age 13 as part of the “quirk exchange” project created to bring healers to Japan (see explanation above)
- Things were VERY problematic between him and Enji from almost the first day but no sex until 15, super hush hush
- Married at 18 and they came out to family
- Accidentally outed to the public at 20 by nosey reporters
Shouto Todoroki - 18
Quirk: Half hot, half cold
- Ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side
- Demisexual & Demiromantic
- Awkwardly tumbled into a poly relationship with Katsuki Bakugou and Eijirou Kirishima between first and second year after events in Otheon (World Heroes Mission)
Yuki Todoroki - 18
Quirk: Bat
- Bat wings he can call in and out of his body, night vision, echolocation, sonic screech, pointed ears, top and bottom fangs, aka he’s a bat
- Quirk flukes, or anomalies, are random and can’t be predicted. They result in a child with quirks that don’t match anything in their family bloodline and often lead towards accusations of cheating and blood tests to prove paternity. They don’t happen often but also aren’t considered to be rare, just infrequent
- Gay
- Interned at Hawks’ agency at the same time as Tokoyami and it just… happened. They were dating by christmas their first year
Toshinori Family Tree:
Yumi Toshinori - 23
Quirk: Phoenix
- Can die but resurrects not long after. This quirk only heals damage that causes death, it doesn’t heal minor wounds or damage caused by illness/aging. He will only die of old age
- Born to Toshinori’s one and only relationship with a woman (she died in child birth)
- David Shield accused “You did NOT name him Yumi because ‘It’s just you and me’ did you?!”
- Loves Tenko Shimura with every inch of his being and it wasn’t a surprise that they fell in love
Death Count: 3
- Age 8 - was playing with ‘friends’ who pushed him down a small ditch and he broke his neck when he hit the rocks at the bottom. Shimura wasn’t far behind and thought Yumi was just hurt (just not moving) so he went to get Toshinori to help him. By the time they arrived, Yumi was sitting up, crying, and complaining his head and neck hurt, but seemed unhurt otherwise
- Age 13 - hit by a transport van that ran a red light at an intersection. Died instantly due to brain trauma and paramedics pronounced him dead, covering him with a sheet and hiding him from civilians at the scene. He suddenly gasped, sat up, and scared the ever loving fuzz out of a cop who was standing near him
- Age 16 - Was being heavily bullied at a park after school and Shimura was livid, approaching the two males who were bullying his best friend, his hands in front of him as he reached for the bullies. Everyone knows Shimura’s quick so the boys, now backed against a wall, were actually terrified, but Yumi gets between Shimura and the bullies, trying to get him to stop
Shimura is already moving and can’t stop in time, planting his hands against Yumi’s chest, quirk flexing. Everything seems to go in slow motion as Yumi’s eyes widen and Shimura realizes what’s happening, jerking his hands away, but it’s too late… Yumi turns to ash, the pile hitting the ground
The bullies scatter, Shimura is wailing, and someone nearby calls for help. Toshinori happens to be the closest hero to the incident and he’s shocked to find his pseudo-nephew kneeling on the ground in front of a pile of ashes but shock turns to heartbreak when he learns that Yumi is dead. He contains his rage in favor of holding Shimura close (refusing to let the teenager pull away, not scared of Shimura’s quirk, even after everything that happened)
They sit there for a long time, even as police arrive to contain the scene and take statements. The media is filming eagerly because something personal seems to be happening to the one and only All Might, and it’s been over an hour when suddenly the pile of Yumi’s ashes shuffles. There, before their eyes, and with cameras watching, Yumi rises from the ashes (true to his quirk), gasping and shaking and naked. He peers at Toshinori and Shimura, then looks down at his hands, and then looks back to his family, uttering a quiet, “...I think I died…” and everything starts falling into place regarding his childhood and surviving things he shouldn’t. The media goes wild and everyone wants a piece of Yumi, especially the hero commission, but Yumi just wants a quiet life
Tenko Shimura - 23
Quirk: Decay
- Allows him to disintegrate whatever he touches with all five fingers
- “Adopted” at age 6
- Toshinori couldn’t let the grandson of his mentor fall into the wrong hands and left his career in the Americas behind to return to Japan and raise Tenko alongside his own son, Yumi. He calls Shirmura his ‘nephew’
- Accidentally murdered Yumi at age 16 and inadvertently exposed Yumi’s quirk
Sero Family Tree:
Hanta Sero - 18
Quirk: Tape
- Allows him to bind targets from afar
- Pansexual
- Married to Riku [last name redacted]
- Had no intentions of being a parent at the age of 18 but here we are
- Continues to work towards being a top ranked hero while his young family is supported by his parents who want nothing more than to see their children (and now their grandchild) flourish
Riku Sero - 18
Quirk: Butterfly
- Has butterfly wings that look like a Blue Morpho and can flutter off the ground a few feet
- Has known Hanta since elementary school and started ‘dating’ in middle school. Their feelings only grew stronger through high school, despite being apart
- Hanta would leave school grounds every Saturday for a few hours first thing in the morning so he could spend time with Riku without his friends knowing. They were busted halfway through third year
- They waited until they were 18 (graduation night!) to have sex, but they had been handsy for a while
- Got pregnant on their first time
- Riku’s family immediately disowned him when they found out and he showed up on the Sero family doorstep, sobbing and begging for forgiveness. They hadn’t told Hanta’s parents yet, but they didn’t hesitate to invite Riku to move in. It would be preferred if their children weren’t having a baby at 18, but they weren’t about to throw them out
- The Sero parents are incredibly supportive and watch the baby while Hanta is doing hero work and while Riku goes to school to be a librarian
Shouji Family Tree
Mezou Shouji
- Quirk: Dupli-arms
- A set of tentacles alongside his arms that he can transform the tips to replicate other parts of his body (ex: mouth, ears, eyes). The duplicated body parts are more efficient than the originals; as a result, Mezo is able to hear better, see-through more angles at a time, and they grant him much higher degrees of strength
- Met Axel [last name redacted] when he went to visit Midoriya and Rody’s new apartment
- Upon realizing the boy, who is two years younger than him, is pregnant and alone, he declares he will take care of Axel and promptly convinces the younger man to marry him. No one knows why his sudden instinct to take care of Axel is so strong, but Shouji couldn’t shake the feeling, it compelled him
- It doesn’t take long for them to fall in love, even if they get uncomfortable looks in regards to their age - Shouji being a hero and Axel still being in school
Axel Shouji
- Quirk: Unknown - something so minor that no one, not even Axel himself, has figured it out, but the fact he became pregnant indicates he DOES have a quirk of some sort
- Was homeless in Otheon and trusted the wrong person with his heart (as a 15 year old does). When he became pregnant, the person tossed him aside
- Due to the fact he was carrying twins, he started presenting as pregnant when he was 4 months along
- A chance run in with Rody, where the older boy noticed he was pregnant, had him moving in with Rody
- Only a month later was Rody (and the kids) relocated to Musutafu and they brought Axel with them
- Axel was hanging laundry on the balcony of Rody’s new apartment when Shouji came in, unannounced, and saw him reaching upwards, exposing his stomach
- Despite not knowing him at all, and despite only being 16 and 18 respectively, Shouji insisted that he take care of Axel. There was a lot of back and forth between the two, standing there on the balcony, but Axel agreed
- He couldn’t live with Midoriya and Rody forever, right? Roro and Lala were living with Inko (so the older boys could have private time) and Axel really DID feel like an outsider, being in the same apartment making him uncomfortable, so why not accept Shouji’s offer?
- Immediate marriage was unexpected, as was Shouji declaring the twins his (only the Midoriya and Soul families knew otherwise), their age gap being ‘solved’ by the lie of Shouji and Axel getting together while still in UA, making it a tad more acceptable. But still looked down upon by most
- Sadly, with the twins expected any day, Axel was inadvertently involved in a villain attack and sustained heavy injuries, resulting in the loss of the twins
- Axel expected Shouji to discard him now that he wasn’t pregnant, but Shouji insisted that he still loved Axel and that he hoped Axel felt the same, and that Axel would stay
- And so he stayed, wrapped in love and safety
