“My chemical romance is way better than the ‘Despicable Me’ soundtrack Son-” Shadow's voice trailed off as he looked at Sonic's smug face. “What Faker?” Sonic giggled and looked at Shadow with wide eyes, Shadow loved those green eyes… he'd never admit it though. He barely admits it to himself.
“Nothing, nothing! Just your passion for emo, punk, rock, blah blah blah whatever you listen to is funny. Like I mean, remember how upset you were over Machine Gun Kelly's punk albums?” Sonic snickers at the memory and Shadow purses his lips annoyed. MGK's music was just stereotypical “punk” topics mashed onto Travis Barker's drumming with no care if it was really authentic pop punk or not. It was a cash grab because Travis's name was on it.
Sonic was happily staring at Shadow. He rarely sees him so relaxed. Studying his facial expressions and body language and… did he do his eyeliner differently today? Before Sonic could even think, he blurted out, “You did your makeup differently.” Shadow looked at him and paused.
“I did.” Shadow raises an eyebrow as Sonic continues to look at him with wide curious eyes. Sometimes Sonic looked like a cat, the way he studied things with wide eyes. “As I was saying, MCR made remarkable albums and what does the soundtrack of-”
Sonic cut him off. “Why'd you do it differently?”
Shadow huffs in annoyance.“Eyeliner is not the topic of discussion, faker.”
Sonic smiles and raises an eyebrow. “Are we sure eyeliner isn't what we should be talking about?”
Shadow groans and runs his hands over his face. “Yes I'm sure! Besides bad movie soundtracks, what else do you listen to?”
Sonic smirks, “okay but are we one hundred percent sure we shouldn't be talking about how you changed your makeup? I mean your fur is so dewy.” Shadow glares at him with enough intensity to explode the sun, Sonic just giggles. “Okay, okay, I like Taylor, Sabrina, Olivia, you know, music like that.”
Shadow raises an eyebrow, “Those are very different artists. Olivia is like the next generation’s Avril, Sabrina has her own unique style that is very different from Taylor.” Shadow pauses, “What's your favorite Taylor album?”
Sonic practically squeals, “I like..”
