   Summary

   Through a miraculous turn of events Emma is brought back from the brink of death and makes it off of Big Shell in (mostly) one piece. As she recovers from her physical injuries she finds old mental wounds reopening and finds that she finally has to face the painful past she's been running from. Worse than this, something she's never felt before has taken root in her heart, feelings she's afraid to acknowledge for fear of destroying a new friendship before it can begin.

   Basically a post-mgs2 missing scene fic that is also a genderbend fic that is also an Emma lives fic.
