Zoro smirked from behind the bushes as he watched his target from a distance. His target just so happened to be a literal Angel that was disguising himself as a human. But Zoro knew this gorgeous blonde haired man was an angel. Tasked with killing said angel he carefully pulled out his swords.
What? Zoro doesn't have his ‘King of Hell’ reputation in hell for nothing.
The angel turned, his beautiful ocean blue eyes distracted Zoro long enough for him to put away his swords and sink back into the bushes. Maybe, just maybe, he could also disguise as a human and lure this gorgeous angel into a trap. Yea, that's what he'll do!
Sanji smirked as he turned back towards the shop keep. He knew the so-called ‘King of Hell’ was following him. He's a lot smarter than that. He thanks the shop keeper and makes his way back to his apartment, with his bag of groceries.
Just because he's an angel doesn't mean he can't enjoy food and cooking. It was always his passion project. Granted his father always hated that side of him. But he and his siblings don't have to worry about him anymore. Last they heard Judge was chained up on the lowest level of hell. So much for only being a fallen angel.
Sanji smiled as he entered his small apartment. He placed the bag on his counter and closed his eyes, dropping part of his disguise to allow his 6 wings to stretch out. He sighed as he finished stretching out his wings. Sanji smiled as he put his groceries away before starting on making himself a simple lunch.
Why was Sanji sent to earth you may ask? It's quite simple really. Him and his 4 siblings were sent down to make sure those that deserve punishment are sent to hell. Call them executioners if you will. Sanji hummed a simple ballad as he carefully spread butter on the bread he had in his hand for his grilled cheese.
“You know I can sense you right?”
Zoro flinched on the balcony. Realizing the angel had known he was there the whole time. “So what of it angel!”
“So.” Sanji began, finishing up the two grilled cheese sandwiches and flicking his wrist causing the door to the balcony to unlock and open. “Why don't you take a seat! I'm making some grilled cheese!” Sanji exclaimed, smiling as he carefully flipped the sandwiches in the pan.
“Why would I want any of your human food?!” Zoro nearly snarled, but still carefully stepped inside, moving his tail in so he could carefully close the door behind him. Zoro sat down on the soft couch, gently running his claws over the fabric.
“Because you've been following me for months and I just want us to finally chat face to face!” Sanji exclaimed, placing each sandwich on separate plates and cutting them diagonally. Before bringing them into the living room. “Besides. For a demon, you're rather handsome.” Sanji admitted, a light blush on his face as he handed Zoro his plate before taking a seat on a plush chair. Said chair seemed to be specially made for him as his wings laid comfortably in the chair. Before Sanji could speak his phone went off.
Pulling out his phone he smiled and answered it. “Reiju! How are you? How's the person you're a guardian angel for?” Sanji asked, a bright smile on his face.
Zoro took a bite of his sandwich and nearly moaned at the taste. How did this angel make this food so delectable?!
“Oh it's going good! Her name is Tashigi! She's such an innocent girl! She's a detective! Oh my! And she's soooo cute!!” Reiju rambled on, causing Sanji to chuckle lightly.
“You're in love with your charge! ReiRei! I'm really hoping she treats you well!” Sanji exclaimed, twirling his hair a bit.
Zoro watched in amazement, realizing that even angels can fall in love. He wonders if this angel can fall for a demon like him. Zoro begins to cough at the thought. ‘ Why in hell did I just wonder if the angel brat would fall in love with me?! What is wrong with me!?!? ’ Zoro thought, clearing his throat before taking another bite.
“Have you heard from Ichiji? I heard he found love with a demon! Isn't that amazing! And a food demon at that!” Sanji exclaimed, his ears turning a bit red.
Zoro's tail twitched at that, though he tried to hide his blush by looking down at his empty plate. He heard Sanji say a few more things over the phone before hanging up.
“Do you know of the demon Katakuri?”
Zoro lifted his head up at that name. “Yes. He's one of my subordinates. I had heard he found love on earth. I had no idea it was with a seraphim angel.” Zoro explained, reaching up to scratch his left horn.
“Yeah. That's my brother Ichiji. He's the oldest of my brothers and I, but the second oldest, after Reiju.” Sanji began to explain, taking a bite of his grilled cheese.
“So angel. Do you believe a Seraphim angel can fall in love with a powerful demon? Maybe with the King of Hell?” Zoro asked, rubbing his neck nervously.
Sanji giggled. “Yeah. Though I would love to go on a few dates first. I've never been on a date before and they always sound wonderful in movies, TV, and books.” Sanji exclaimed. After finishing his sandwich, he took both their plates and placed them in the sink before reaching out a hand to Zoro. “Come on! Let's go down to the pier and get some much deserved ice cream!”
The two disguise themselves before walking hand in hand to the pier. Where the two laugh and eat ice cream as the sun sets over the water.
“So angel. Can I get your name now?” Zoro asked, finishing his matcha ice cream.
“Sanji, that's my name. What about yours, King of Hell?” Sanji asked, finishing his blueberry ice cream.
“Roronoa Zoro. I'm Lucifer's right hand man. Though he likes to go by Luffy right now.”
“I heard about that from ArchAngel Ace.” Sanji chuckled before laying his head on Zoro's shoulder, letting his wings cover the both of them.
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For being kind to a demon like me.”
“Thanks for being kind to an angel like me!”
The two sat together until the sun finally set. This was the beginning of a beautiful romance.
