Work Text:
Sabo stared at the criminal board. He knew the recent crimes were similar to what Ace was dealing with in his city. The difference was what the villain used. Maybe a family of villains spread out into multiple cities?
“Sabo! There's been another attack! You need to head out there!” Koala, Sabo's assistant, exclaimed.
Sabo nodded and grabbed his top hat, pipe, and got his outfit and mask on before using his fire to rocket himself out of the hideout. He flew across town to the bank where the robbery was taking place.
The blue haired villain smirked. “Ah! Welcome The Revolutionary!” Niji exclaimed, emitting electricity out and making it say Welcome.
Sabo landed and aimed his pipe at Niji. “It's over Dengeki Blue!”
“Oh on the contrary, Revolutionary! You've fallen right into my trap!” Niji exclaimed, pointing at Sabo and shooting a string of electricity and wrapping it around Sabo's torso like a rope. “Now you're my prey. And I have one single question.”
“What could you possibly want, Dengeki Blue?!” Sabo nearly growled.
“Go on a date with me?” Niji asked, a faint dusting of pink appeared on his cheeks.
Sabo blinked. “What?”
“Go on a date with me!” Niji exclaimed again, pulling Sabo in close.
“F-fine! As long as you promise to stop robbing this bank. I'll meet you at the Cafe in an hour!” Sabo exclaimed, his unscarred ear turning pink with blush.
Niji dropped Sabo and smiled widely. “Done! See you there!” And with that Niji bolted (literally with electricity) away.
Sabo sighed, making sure the bank was ok before going back to the hideout to change into something more appropriate for a date.
Niji smiled as he changed into his date outfit and smiled as he adjusted his glasses. His phone went off just then.
“Hey Sanj! What's going on?”
“Just checking to see if you finally got that hero to go on a date with you. I think Zoro is finally gunna propose tonight.”
“He better. Or I'm going to shock him like crazy! You've been together for 6 years!”
“Right!?! Well I'm glad you found someone! I have Zoro. Ichiji has that Mafia guy, Reiju has that detective, and you have that hero! Now we just need to get Yonji a partner!”
“Oh don't worry. I think he'll be getting someone real soon!” Niji exclaimed, fixing his tie.
“I gotta go now Sanj. I'm meeting Sabo up at the cafe!” Niji exclaimed, ending the call before heading to the cafe.
Niji smiled as he saw the blonde haired hero sitting at a table, sipping some tea. “Hey…. Sabo!” Niji smirked, sitting down across from him.
“How did you-?!”
“How do I know your identity? Easy! It's called the internet. Just looked up a blonde guy with a scar on the left half of face and got you Sabo. Now what do you want to know about me? This is a date after all.” Niji smiled, looking at the menu.
“Ok, what is your name?”
“Niji, Vinsmoke Niji.”
“Ok Niji. Do you have any family?”
“Why? Do you want to send your brothers after them? Because that's not going to work. I have 3 brothers and an older sister. My brothers and I are quadruplets. I'm the second born of them. Our father is no longer around. We made sure of that after decades of abuse.” Niji explained before the lovely waitress walked over and took his drink and food order.
“Merci!” Niji thanked before turning back to Sabo as the waitress left.
“You speak french?”
“Yea. My whole family does. We're from the North Blue.” Niji explains, pushing up his glasses.
“Your eyes are really pretty…” Sabo blushed brightly as the words left his mouth.
“Thanks.” Niji blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“So other than being villains. Do you and your siblings do anything else?”
“Oh, Ichiji runs a bookstore. Sanji is a chef in a high end seafood restaurant. Yonji works at a boxing class. And Reiju works at a potion shop. Yes those exist.” Niji explained, smiling fondly as he talked about his siblings. “What about Luffy and Ace? Other than being heroes do they do something else?”
“Ace is a part time Fireman. And Luffy…. Luffy competes in food eating competitions.” Sabo admitted, taking another sip of his tea.
Soon enough Niji's drink and food arrived. The two laughed and talked for 2 hours before walking hand in hand together.
“You know, I'm not going to stop being a villain. But I might just start doing it more just to get your attention more.” Niji admitted with a devilish smirk on his face.
“Or you could just call or text me when you want my attention.” Sabo said, pulling a pen out from inside his jacket and taking Niji's arm and writing his phone number on it.
“Wait. Really?!” Niji asked, not believing his words.
“Y-yea! I had fun on this date!” Sabo smiled, and Niji swore he could see the sun in that smile.
“O-okay! Cool! Yeah! I'll give you a call, o-or text you! S-So I gotta run! This was fun! Bye!” Niji, who was blushing like crazy, zoomed off. Leaving behind a giggling Sabo.
