Midoriya Izuku has always been a rather shy boy, the type most would call ‘geeky’. He had a few friends to hang out with after classes, his grades were outstanding, most of his classmates had a neutral relationship with him. There was nothing truly interesting about him.
Besides his very well hidden online alter-ego, of course.
BunnyChan125 was another story completely. He was an active member of multiple platforms and servers that catered to lgbtq+ youth, polyamorous people, and some rather kinky sites, too. He was outgoing, very kind and treated like a precious friend in the online space. Bunny was chatty and eager to make friends at every opportunity – and, finally, since he would turn eighteen tomorrow, he would be able to access all the NSFW content and dating platforms he has been denied so far.
Because here is the thing; the only thing Izuku and BunnyChan125 had in common was their desperate longing for an honest, preferably polyamorous relationship. That was sort of taboo, even in his generation, and all his former tries at dating ended poorly. But tomorrow, the opportunities will be within reach.
Izuku was in a hurry, as he stuffed his green pencil case into the well worn yellow bag sitting in front of him. With a few quick motions, he zipped it shut, slinged it over his shoulder, and tried to speed walk out of the still almost full classroom. Some classmates cried out a last ‘Happy Birthday’ as he rushed by, and he shouted back his thanks, mind already focused on the laptop sitting on his bed.
The ride home was torture for the freshly turned eighteen year old, who was in a rather big hurry. Izuku almost ran the two blocks between his last stop and their small apartment. As he slammed the door shut behind himself, he mindlessly called out to his mother – with no luck, since Midoriya Inko seemingly had not yet arrived from her last shift at the nearby hospital. After toeing his red sneakers off, he dashed to his closed door, locking himself into the garishly decorated room. Izuku took to biting his nails, as the old laptop before him slowly started, taking quite a while. As soon as the first page loaded, he anxiously clicked on Settings , and double checked that his age had, in fact, automatically changed. With trembling hands, the teenager refreshed the page, to see a new chat group pop up, and he opened it immediately, barely sparing a second to glance at the chat name that read 18+ members only!!

As the birthday wishes started pouring in in earnest, Izuku skipped over to his Discord, his favorite poly/lgbtq server in particular. He selected the Over 18 role, then jumped down to the channel labeled Looking-for-poly-rs. He gleefully filled out one of the simple templates he found pinned to the channel, and hit send without thinking twice.

Since staring at the screen and waiting anxiously didn't help, Izuku had to convince himself to move on, reset all his age roles in his favorite servers, then answer the onslaught of good wishes from all his virtual friends from all over the world.
When the first notification ping came from the laptop, he practically squealed in delight.
