It was pouring rain. This new Goodwill Event turned into a "bootcamp" thing was getting on Fushiguro's nerves. Kyoto's scenery gloomed, leaving the sakura trees withered, soaking wet. He was usually fond of this kind of weather, where people would just shelter themselves under an umbrella. Nobody truly understood the cathartic effect that the rain had, as he induced into an eerie state of mind. The drops tapping on his dorm windows back in Tokyo, there was definitely something he found soothing.
However, he was in Kyoto and he would for at least a week. He sighed out of annoyance, as his royal-blue eyes glanced through the blurry pane. The Kyoto gym facility was different from the one he had in Jujutsu High, but it did the trick. Footsteps were slowly approaching, comforting his irritated demeanor. He puffed through his nose.
"What now?"
He asked, his nonchalant tone vibrating in his throat.
"...You alright?"
Asked Todo, who stood at an appropriate distance.
Fushiguro glared at him, his face hardening as he realized that the 3rd year was not going to back down. He sighed again, deeply.
"Yes."
"I can smell your bullshit from miles away, you know?"
"Then why do you ask?"
Todo swallowed, pinching his nose bridge before finally taking a step closer. His brown eyes caught up with the gray vision twirling with the weather. He chuckled, before crossing his arms against his chest.
"You thought that Kyoto was all traditional and colorful? Well, no. Sometimes it rains, sometimes not. Are you moody because of the weather?"
Fushiguro marked a pause, his irritation level rising at an alarming pace, even though he kept his composure. He was not fond of Todo, never had, never will be. The last Goodwill Event left a sour taste in his mouth. He did not forget being beat up by him because of a stupid answer to his creepy question. Though, he did not know that Todo had passed on a recommendation for the 1st years after the events. He did not know that he visited him at the infirmary as well ― he thought that he was here for Itadori.
"It's none of your business."
"Ah, you're right."
A crooked smile spread on Todo's lips, leading him to shove his hands in his jogging pockets.
"I guess I shouldn't be asking."
"Yes. You shouldn't."
Fushiguro glanced at him, not knowing why he had not left yet. His shoulders tensed up, and his breathing was sharp. Todo could not help but notice the tension he was feeling, and his presence was mostly the reason. He forced a small laugh and leaned towards the dark haired boy.
"Does it still hurt?"
Fushiguro's eyes widened at the remark. He raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side.
"What?"
"The training, hm... Does your body feel sore?"
"Tch."
Fushiguro shrugged, he did not understand this sudden concern for his aching body.
"Woud you like a rub or something?"
Fushiguro's face went blank. He looked completely flabbergasted by the proposition.
"W-Wait, what?"
"Do you need help with the soreness? I'm, huh, just offering but-..."
"...Alright."
"Huh?"
"I said, alright."
Todo slowly slid behind him, not wanting to invade his space. Fushiguro felt a shiver running down to his spine as he could feel the Kyoto student's strong frame towering over him. He swallowed, his breath suddenly shaking. He had never enjoyed physical touch whatsoever, even hugs. Not only that, but he did not like it, he was not used to receive that kind of affection. It scared him, in fact. For some reason, there was something endearing with the feeling of Todo's musky scent running through his nostrils. A strong fragrance, something deep, caring even though he did not want to admit it. He let a frustrated sigh pass his lips.
"Make it quick."
He sharply answered.
Todo nodded calmly, his gaze meeting the nape of Fushiguro's neck. His strong hands gently reached out to his shoulder blades, pressing with a reassuring care. His thumbs squeezed softly on his acupoints, circling his sensitive spots as he definitely felt knots and tensions. Fushiguro closed his eyes, he was focused on the pressure of Todo's hands on his shoulders. It was oddly firm yet gentle, totally conflicting with his skilled gorilla, meat head persona.
"Is the pressure alright?"
"It's.. perfect." he replied, his tone slightly raspy and breathless.
"Alright..." whispered Todo.
Fushiguro felt goosebumps as he heard his whisper. Something about it was comforting. He frowned at the thought of him finding it sheltering.
"That's some serious knots, you shouldn't let the tension build up without a proper stretching after you're done with your training."
"Hm. Can you stop patronizing me?"
"Eh, I'm not.."
Todo was amused, Fushiguro was not, but he felt vulnerable under this touch he never craved before. Todo carefully closed the gap between them, leaning a bit more forward.
"Take a deep breath in."
His lips softly brushed Fushiguro's lobe. His natural soft scent was so overwhelming he did not realize he was getting closer to him, his knuckles pressed in between his scapulae. The youngest flinched slightly under his care. He could not ignore the way his heart skipped a beat at the simple touch. He took a deep breath in, following Todo's instructions. He held it in, bracing himself for the next step.
"Hm..."
"All the way out.."
Todo squeezed through, pressing down on his knots. Fushiguro let out a hiss of pain, but as he released his breath, the tension and tightness melted away. The uncomfortable feeling was replaced with an overcoming sense of relief and relaxation.
"F-Fuck.."
He groaned, his head slowly dropping forward on the window, the knot finally releasing. He felt like a weight had definitely been lifted off his shoulders.
"That's amazing.."
Todo skipped a beat when he heard Fushiguro curse. He found it oddly attractive, knowing he was the one who had relieved him from the tension. He chuckled, a proud tug on his lips.
"I make you feel good, huh?"
He asked, his voice being husky as he kept on rubbing his thumbs in all these areas that needed his touch. His spine, the small of his back, his neck. He did not know how much one could uncover from a simple touch, the sound of their breathing, the twitching in the air and the tension building up. But here, in this hallway, facing the outpouring rain, Todo could not believe that he was not annoying at all... Quite the opposite, in fact.
Fushiguro's heart started to race at the sound of his voice. His chest fluttered, and a warm sensation spread through his body. He let out a sigh, feeling completely relaxed. He turned his head slightly, giving Todo free access to his neck as he was working on it.
"Hm... You do.."
Todo smiled, beaming with pride. He kept on massaging him and skimmed through his back to make sure every spot had been covered. He puffed through the nose, as he was getting closer to his ear once again.
"Is there any other area you'd like me to focus on?"
Fushiguro's mind was a little hazy from the pleasure of the massage, but he actually managed to focus so he could properly answer the question. He paused, thinking of any sore spots or areas of tension. He then shook his head.
"No, you've got all the spots."
"Good."
Todo's voice was twirling with a hint of softness and quiet, which was rather unusual. He was known to uphold wisdom when he went feral on the battlefield, but he had always been eccentric, loud and obnoxious. This is why his classmates could not stand him and why he was their cause of stress. Fushiguro also noticed it. He remembered how everyone at the Goodwill Event hated on him, Maki had even thrown a ball in his face. He was there, and he even cheered on her action...
The 3rd year slowly replaced his rubbing motion by soothing touches here and there, and brushing over his muscles before completely ending what he was doing. He took a step backwards, and let out a sigh of relief. Fushiguro felt a pang of disappointment as Todo pulled away, not fully realizing he was already missing the touch. He opened his eyes, turning to look at him with a flushed face. He tried to snap out of it. He met his gaze, making his breath hitch in his throat.
"Thank you..."
"No bother.."
The tension between them replaced the initial coldness of their conversation, sparking a hint of electricity. They kept silence, just looking at each other, their bodies feeling incredibly light. Todo's hands were trembling... trembling from this ineffable, out of this world, touch.
For a solid moment, Todo regretted beating him.
He regretted finding him annoying.
He regretted not going to the infirmary sooner.
He regretted everything.
For just a moment.
"..Todo?"
Asked Fushiguro.
"Y-Yeah..?"
"I should go. I'm meeting with Maki and the others. But.. thank you again."
Todo cleared his throat, blinking. His hand reached out for his neck, that he started to rub frantically. He laughed it through and took a deep breath.
"Sure. I hope you feel better."
Fushiguro nodded, his cheeks flushing once more. It was discreet, subtle, but Todo could definitely see it. His lips parted, feeling totally helpless in front of this young man.
"I do. See you around."
He glanced at him, as he slowly walked away. His footsteps, echoing in the corridor, reached out for the exit. His heart was pounding in his chest and once he stepped outside, he could feel the rain running over his face.
Fushiguro gasped for air, feeling breathless.
Todo stood there, unable to move, until his phone buzzed in his pocket. He went back to reality and took a look at his screen. Behind the notification, Takada-chan was happily smiling as she was his wallpaper.
Why did he want to replace her by Fushiguro?
Why did it hurt so much?
Why.. him?
