Seasonal adventures of a lemon and a squid (DokSoo)

Summary:

A short compilation of DokSoo compacted with wholesomeness and a dash of being bad at understanding feelings.

Chapter 1: Winter Part 1: Snow-filled Shenanigans

Chapter Text

Han Sooyoung turned on the heater, a satisfied sound left her lips as she got accustomed to the warmth. She sat next to Kim Dokja, who was too engrossed in some random book.

Taking a sip of her hot chocolate, the female herself felt content with the simple life they were living. No more scenarios, no more stupid monsters, no more annoying people that begged for her mercy!

"So, how's life for you so far?"

Kim Dokja answered, "It's fine. Better than I was expecting."

"Wanna make it more fun?"

"Huh—?"

The pitiful man was dragged outside after being wrapped in warm clothing. To add more to his suffering, Han Sooyoung picked up some snow, compressed it together and threw it at him.

"This is your definition of fun..?"

"Yep!"

Han Sooyoung heaved a few breaths before raising her hand. "I surrender... damn it.."

Collapsing onto the snow next to her, Kim Dokja sighed before catching his own breath. He stared over to Han Sooyoung, who was gathering snow at one spot.

"What're you making?"

"Something. Don't bother to ruin it, or else."

Interested, he sat up to take a peek. He was wondering what kind of monstrosity she was going to turn the poor snow into. Her creation looked like it had several legs. No, were those tentacles?

"Squid?"

"Yes, you. A very ugly squid." To prove her point, Han Sooyoung added a few squiggly lines above what he believed to be a smiley face, and then drew a circle.

"So, it's me in a squid costume?"

Sooyoung nodded, a grin on her face before he noticed a portion of snow that fell on her nose. Kim Dokja raised his hand and dusted it off, failing to realize that he was grazing the tip of her nose slightly.

"The fuck are you doing?"

He was quick to retract his hand.

"Nothing."

After spending too much time in the snow, the two had separately changed attires in their respective rooms. Cozily sitting by the fireplace, Han Sooyoung was busying herself on her phone. The man beside her was sipping his hot drink, absent-mindedly staring at the crackling flames.

. . .

A blanket was draped over the two of them a little while later. The comfortable Han Sooyoung's head was now leaning against his shoulder. She slept peacefully, her phone discarded at her side. He would exchange a few glances every now and then before a yawn escaped his lips.

Blinking a few times, Kim Dokja rested his head on top of hers and called it a night.
