Chapter Text
It was well past midnight, and the dorm was cloaked in a deep, tranquil silence. The only sounds were the faint hum of the air conditioner and the soft rustling of sheets as the members of ZB1 slept soundly in their rooms. Yujin, the youngest, was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone with one earbud in, trying to find sleep.
A soft knock at the door broke the silence, startling Yujin. He quickly glanced at the clock—1:03 AM. Frowning, he tiptoed to the door, careful not to wake anyone. His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of curiosity and apprehension gripping him. Who could it be at this hour?
When he opened the door, he was met with a sight that made his heart skip a beat. Standing there, grinning from ear to ear, was Ollie, his secret boyfriend who had flown all the way from China.
"Ollie?!" Yujin's whisper was a mixture of shock and delight. He instinctively grabbed Ollie's arm and pulled him inside, shutting the door quietly behind them. "What are you doing here?"
Ollie smiled warmly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I missed you, baobei."
Yujin's cheeks flushed a deep crimson at the pet name. "Shhh! Someone might hear you," he whispered, covering Ollie's mouth with his hand.
Ollie chuckled softly, his breath warm against Yujin's palm. "You worry too much," he said once Yujin lowered his hand. "I just wanted to surprise you."
"Well, you certainly did that," Yujin replied, his voice a blend of exasperation and affection. "But what if someone sees you? We could get into so much trouble."
"Then let's not waste any more time talking about it," Ollie said with a sly grin. Before Yujin could protest, Ollie leaned in and kissed him, silencing his worries in an instant. The kiss was gentle yet filled with longing, a tender reminder of their time apart.
Yujin's initial shock melted away, and he found himself kissing back, his hands tangling in Ollie's hair. For a moment, the world outside ceased to exist, leaving only the two of them in their bubble of stolen time.
But that bubble burst abruptly when Yujin pulled away to catch his breath. The door to his room was wide open, and standing there were his bandmates, their expressions ranging from shock to amusement.
"Oh my god," Yujin whispered, his face turning an even deeper shade of red.
Zhang Hao stepped forward, an evil grin spreading across his face. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he teased, his tone dripping with playful malice. "Looks like our maknae has been keeping secrets."
The other members tried to stifle their laughter, but it was no use. The room filled with chuckles and knowing smiles.
Yujin buried his face in his hands, utterly mortified. "This is so embarrassing," he mumbled, peeking through his fingers at Ollie, who was trying—and failing—to keep a straight face.
Ollie wrapped an arm around Yujin's shoulders, pulling him close. "I think it's sweet," he said, looking around at the other members. "Besides, you guys can't be too surprised. Who wouldn't fall for Yujin?"
The laughter grew louder, and even Yujin couldn't help but smile, despite his embarrassment. He looked up at Ollie, gratitude and affection shining in his eyes. Maybe this wasn't how he had planned to reveal his relationship, but seeing the acceptance in his friends' faces made it all feel okay.
Zhang Hao clapped his hands, breaking the moment. "Alright, enough teasing for tonight. Let’s all get some sleep. And Ollie," he added with a wink, "you better have a good explanation for our manager in the morning."
Yujin groaned, but Ollie just laughed, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "We'll handle it together," he whispered.
As the members filed back to their rooms, still chuckling and exchanging amused glances, Yujin felt a warm sense of relief. They had been caught, yes, but they were surrounded by understanding and love. And that was more than enough for him.
