Summary
Steve slumps his shoulders, as if to hide himself from the world, the biting cold of Russia’s behemoth, the glass shards that dig themselves deep into his heart. He thinks he’s caught his soul on some of the jagged bits of metal that day on the Helicarrier, and it’s torn it a little bit, only a fracture of a tear, small enough to keep him somewhat sane, big enough to make him lose his mind. And yet- he needs to keep himself together. If not him then who? Who, damn it?
The one in which Steve isn't really coping, and Bucky Barnes is lost, lost in the fog of the Winter Soldier. There are stars in the skies sometimes, and sometimes not. Steve rather believes that to dream, one must admit the lack of something, so he doesn't sleep.
