Author Note: to be honest, I was actually kinda scared to upload this story. Crossovers are something I absolutely love because of interactions between two completely different fandoms and how they'd react, it's interesting, really.

it's why I decided right here, right now, right at midnight, my almost sleep deprived butt decided "you know what? screw it, we're uploading this for people to read >:)" so here we are lol

like I said before, if your not interested, then you don't have to read, no ones forcing you to, go read what you do like and be content, kay :)?

THIS FIC STARTED ALL THE WAY BACK IN 2022, SO YOU GET TO SEE THE EVOLUTION OF MY WRITING STYLE :DDDDD

Chapter 2: ⭐️ - The Woman That Fell From The Sky

Chapter Text

~~~
How could a simple walk in the park go so wrong?
Peach remembers bits and pieces of what happened. Daisy's laughter, the taste of the tea she was having, a bright blue light, her screaming for help.
Then it all stopped.
Then it went dark.
Now, she heard voices in whispers as she was poked around.
She became conscious and opened her eyes a bit, but the lights were too bright, making her groan as she held a hand to her eyes.
The whispers and poking stopped and she felt stares on her.
Opening her eyes carefully, she managed to adjust to the light. The first thing she saw was a creamy light orange ceiling with hanging lights. She slowly blinked again to get more adjusted to the lights.
Then there was a face.
"AH!"
"AHH!"
Peach shot up in surprise, but hit her head against the other person's head. She held her forehead in pain.
"Oh, great job MK, now she's even more hurt." A gruff male voice stated.
"You can't just do things like that." A more calmer male voice added in.
"I know, I know." A younger sounding male voice, MK maybe, groaned.
"Hey, you okay?" In came a young girl, the first person Peach could properly see. She had black hair with green dyed strands on the side pieces. She wore all white with a green two-toned varsity jacket.
She helped Peach sit up slowly, a hand rubbing her back carefully. "Yes, I think I'm alright now. Thank you, um..." Peach blanked, staring at the girl.
"Oh, right. Sorry, name's Mei? You are?"
"Peach, nice to meet you Mei." Peach smiled politely, only to wince and hold her cheek and feel a bandaid. She looked down at herself and spotted many more bandages and some gauze on her.
"What happened?" She asked. Mei frowned at that. "Well, MK found you in an alleyway where he was fighting some villains. He said you fell in and got caught in the scuffle and got super banged up, so he brought you here." Mei explained.
"Yeah, you got pretty beat up. Glad you're awake now, we were getting worried." The boy who hit her head spoke up. "I'm MK. Sorry for spooking you."
"It's okay, at least it isn't as serious as whatever I got here." Peach tried to lighten the mood a bit, which worked, as MK chuckled, albeit a bit awkwardly.
"Alright, move aside." The calm male voice pushed MK to the side as he approached her. "Sorry, but we kinda gotta change your bandages again, you've been out for quite some time."
Peach pursed her lips worriedly. "Um, how long is quite some time, mr...?"
"I'm Tang. And you've been out for a good 7 hours since I last bandaged you. But in total, about 8 hours."
Peach's eyes widened. 8 hours!? Oh, Daisy must be worried sick.
"I'll change them up, if you don't mind. Pigsy." He turned to... a bipedal pig man? "Can you make her something to eat?"
Pigsy nodded. "Sure, I'll make something quick." He walked off to the back.
"If you don't mind me asking, where exactly am I?" Peach asked as Tang held out one of her arms and rolled up her sweater sleeve. Peach cringed at the bloody gauze underneath.
"It's Pigsy's Noodle Restaurant." MK sat in a chair next to Mei. Peach realized she was laying on the tables.
"No, I mean the city we're in right now? I'm not exactly from here." Peach smiled nervously.
MK's mouth made an 'o' shape, and Mei spoke up. "You're in Megapolis City! Here in China. Where were you from originally?"
Oh, so she was in Mario and Luigi's world.
"Oh, I'm from Brooklyn, y'know, in the United States?" The blond hoped that was convincing enough.
Seemed to do the trick as Mei and MK's eyes lit up. "Wow! All the way from the states!" MK said in awe.
She was caught up in conversation with the two balls of energy as Tang continued to change her bandages.
A few minutes later, Pigsy returned with a bowl of noodles, the steam floating into the air. He placed the bowl next to her by her free hand. "Oh, thank you so much." Pigsy hummed in acknowledgment before going back to the kitchen, probably to clean up.
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened when I showed up to you and those villains, MK?" Peach asked before beginning to eat her noodles.
MK gave her a blank shock face before smiling nervously, scratching the back of his head. "Well..."
Apparently, MK got caught up in a fight with a villain family. A boy named Red Son and his mother, Princess Iron Fan were attempting to take the staff of the legendary Monkey King to free their father/husband, the Demon Bull King.
He was delivering noodles when he got caught, and managed to take the staff, freeing the Demon Bull King.
Apparently, mid-way through the fight, she had appeared screaming, there was a blue glow and then a blond woman fell from the sky. In a panic, MK tried to catch her using the staff to propel him up, but it went the wrong way. The staff was flung like a javelin straight into her stomach, knocking her out cold and leaving her scratched and bruised on the floor.
The more the story went, the more Peach realized that this whole thing was actually MK's fault. But also how guilty he was about it.
"Oh no! I hit an innocent person!" Is what he said.
Peach stared at him with a stern look, making him shrink down guilty. Then, she patted his head, careful of her injuries. MK looked up to see her giving him a small smile.
"It's okay MK, I understand it was a mistake. I forgive you." She assured him. MK smiled, his eyes sparkled as he tears up.
"Oh! Thank youhuhu!" He sobbed as he hugged her torso tightly. Right where the staff knocked her out.
"Ow! Owowow MK!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" MK apologized profusely. Poor boy was shaking.
"Ms.Peach, if you don't mind, I'm going to have to see your stomach, you had a pretty nasty bruise there." Tang instructed as he put her other arm down, having finished the gauze.
Peach blushed lightly before nodding. It was a bit embarrassing, but he was helping with her injuries, and hasn't done anything weird yet, so she could trust him.
Probably.
She pulled up her sweater to reveal her stomach, she looked at it in shock. There was a large, circular, pinkish-red bruise on her stomach. "Oh my goodness, how big is that staff of yours?"
"It can uh... change sizes. Eheh..." MK laughed. Mei jabbed him just under the ribs, making him wince and cough as he stopped laughing.
Peach sighed. "This is probably a lot of magical mystical shenanigans I'm getting into, huh?"
The two nodded.
Oh boy...
~timeskip~
"Ms.Peach, do you have anywhere to stay?" MK asked. By this point, Mei and Tang had returned to their respective homes.
"Ehh, no not really. I kinda fell from the sky, I didn't really have enough reaction time to book a hotel room." She joked.
"Why don't you stay with me then? That way, we can probably get you home faster? I don't have enough money for a plane ticket though."
"MK! You don't have to do that, I can just find a 24 hour place to kill time, it's fine." Peach said. MK shook his head. "No, you need a proper place to sleep, and there's enough room in my apartment above the restaurant, it's fine."
"Hmm, y'know what, I got a better idea." Pigsy spoke up. This is probably the second time she's heard him speak properly. Must not be a very social guy. "If you stay with MK, you gotta work for me, in return, your paycheck can go to getting you a ticket home, how's that?"
Peach thought I've the offer. It was almost too good to be true. Her eyes widened and she smiled before going and hugging Pigsy from over the counter. "Oh! Thank you thank you thank you!" She cheered before giving him a grateful kiss on the cheek, leaving a peachy pink mark.
"Oh, sorry." She removed herself from the counter awkwardly. Pigsy just stood there, eyes wide and mind blank. "Uhh, MK. I think I broke him."
"It's fine, he'll fix himself. Now, to the apartment!" MK took Peach's hand and excitedly dragged her up the stairs to his apartment. Peach smiled as she grabbed her almost forgotten parasol, his excitement was infectious.
~timeskip~
"Here will be your room, sorry it's so empty. Maybe we can go shopping tomorrow and see what you would like?" MK offered. "Oh no, we have work tomorrow right? I wouldn't want to waste anyone's time."
"Don't worry, we can do it after work, and besides, Mei already agreed with me to get you some new stuff like clothes so..." MK trailed off, embarrassed. Peach looked down at her outfit, she thought it looked fine, maybe just a wash and a few spots to sew and it'll be good as new. Her poor Milli Vanilli merch...
"Anyways, you had a crazy day, so you must be sleepy. Don't wanna keep you up. If you need anything I'll be next door!" MK offered.
"Thanks MK."
"Yep, night Peach!"
"Goodnight."
Peach entered the room. It was small, but cozy. An empty closet in the corner with a desk next to it and a vanity next to that in the other corner, in the corner across from the closet was a simple bed with a nightstand next to it with a window above that.
Peach sighed tiredly and flopped into the bed. Despite being small, it was rather soft and comforting.
And she knocked out.
That was fast.
Chapter 3: ⭐️ - Bad Weather
Notes:
season 1 starts!
Chapter Text
~~~

The next day, Peach woke up in bed. She panicked looking at the unfamiliar surroundings, before calming down, remembering yesterday's events.

Right, she's in Mario and Luigi's world now. The Princess sat up and rubbed her eyes before getting up from bed. She opened the door and slugged over to MK's room. She approached the door, giggling at the sign that read 'MK'S ROOM' in bright letters with a drawing of a monkey.

She knocked on the door, but no answer. She knocked louder but there was still no answer. She was worried that he would be sleeping in or something, but she didn't want to intrude if he was still in there.

She was about to knock again when there was a knock at the front door. She went and answered, an agitated Pigsy on the other side. "Oh, good morning Mr.Pigsy." Peach greeted, opening the door more and letting him in.

"Hey, is MK up yet?"

"No, I knocked but he wouldn't answer." Pigsy grunted before stomping over to the door and knocking on the door louder than she's ever heard before (and that's loud because Wario knocks h a r d).

"Ugh, what's takin' him so long?" Pigsy opened the door and stuck his head in, Peach sticking her head in above him, both of their eyes widened.

MK wasn't in bed.

Was he kidnapped? No that's ridiculous, what about some villain thing? Yeah, maybe that's it! Peach panicked. Pigsy groaned. "He's probably out with Mei again."

Peach calmed down at that. Right, Mei and MK were friends, they can take care of each other.

"Well, it's no use calling him now, he'll just stay distracted." Pigsy closed the door. "Anyways, here." The pigman handed her a plastic bag, peeking inside, she saw clothes. "It's the uniform, your gonna need it."

"Thanks a lot Pigsy." Peach smiled gratefully, she went to kiss his cheek again, but paused as she remembered breaking him last night, so instead, she just pat the cheek she kissed before retreating to her room.

Pigsy stood on his spot for a moment, before huffing and puffing his way back to his kitchen.

In her new room, Peach emptied out the bag and put the uniform on, noting every piece. A white shirt and blue jeans, with a white button up shirt over top, Pigsy's logo on the back, her name was elegantly sewed on the breast pocket. She spotted a few other things in the bag, a pack of socks with new pink sneakers, a headband, and a notepad with a pen attached by string.

She pulled on her socks and shoes, tying the laces in an even bow so she hopefully won't trip later, placed the notepad and pen combo in her breast pocket, and the headband in her hair, which didn't do anything to hold back her bangs.

She pulled her ponytail out as she left and fixed it as she skipped down the stairs, making sure it was nice and tight before she officially started her first day of work.

~timeskip~

"Can you drive?" Pigsy asked.

"Yes, why?"

Peach was left to deal with MK's deliveries.

"Pigsy's Noodles!" Peach said as the order opened the door, a young girl with black hair and a pink outfit. "Oh, thank you!" The girl smiled as her cat meowed.

She grabbed the bag and set it aside, pulling out a wallet that was definitely not hers. "How much?"

"50¥" (roughly above $7 USA)

"Okay, here." She pulled out a 50¥ banknote, as well as a 30¥ (about $5 USA) as a tip. "Thanks."

"Of course, enjoy your meal!"

The young girl bowed politely before closing the door. Peach sighed and walked back to the three tire bike she rode in for deliveries.

That was the last one of the day. Thank the stars. Peach started up the bike and rode back to Pigsy's. She's finally ready for a nap, having taken on MK's shift as well, she was completely spent.

Hopefully, Pigsy will be happy to see his bike back in one piece. Apparently, something always gets destroyed whenever MK drives it.

Well, whatever. That's not something she should be worrying about.

Maybe she should be worried about the mysterious villain who was curious about the girl who fell from the sky.

~timeskip~

"And in breaking news, it's been confirmed that last week's devastation was caused by the legendary Demon Bull King. Questions still remain about the small overpowered young man who saved us all. Authorities warn citizens on..." The news anchor was drowned out as MK began showing off his staff skills.

"And I was like, "Stop there, Demon Bull King." And D.B.K.'s all like, "You can't stop me! I'm crazy!" And then I grabbed my staff, and woosh! I created this giant mech!" He exaggerated, obviously leaving out the bit where he accidentally beat up Peach.

He spun his staff around showing before sticking it into the ground of the ferry dock. The motion made water begin rising.

"Uh oh, looks like you sprung a leak, MK." Mei teased. MK panicked. "Oh jeez!"

There they are.

"We've just pulled a quadruple shift at the shop. And I show up to see you've all been slacking off all day!" Pigsy yelled angrily as he and Peach stomped over to them.

Tang chuckled as he waved Pigsy off. "Oh, Piggy, relax. A little time off never hurt anyone." MK smushed his face next to Tang's. "Yeah! A time off never hurt nobody."

"You can't say that when you leave your job to a complete newbie." Peach huffed. "Oh, sorry Peach."

"Look out!" A voice yelled, Peach turned to see a buff blue man with orange hair manning a machine, above them was a metal crate with the chains snapping.

Everyone managed to move out of the way on time, all except MK, who was crushed.

Peach gasped in horror.

"Kid!" Pigsy yelled out, anger now forgotten.

"I..."

Huh?

"Am..." The crate rumbled.

"INVINCIBLE!!!" MK cheered as he came out of the crate, completely unscathed.

Peach let out a sigh of relief. Thank the Star Sprites.

"Yeah!" Mei cheered excitedly. Peach pinched the bridge of her nose. She could practically smell the shenanigans.

"Look, MK, just 'cause you got the Monkey King's powers and all, It don't mean-" Pigsy was cut off by Mei, Tang and the blue man, who all gasped in excitement.

"MK! How about...this?" Mei pulled out a bazooka.

"WHERE DID YOU GET THAT!?" Peach screamed in shock. No seriously, where?

Mei shot out a missile straight at MK, who survived without a scratch.

"I am invincible!"

"Oh my goodness..." Peach muttered in exasperation and worry. Something bad was going to happen, she could feel it.

Pigsy sighed. "Look, kiddo, you're a superhero now. You're going to need-"

"A cape! Maybe a logo, or a headquarters! Some vehicles, you know, all the stuff to help you beat bad guys!" Mei butted in excitedly, holding an MK themed banner.

"No, what I was getting at-"

"To the Sea-Crate...Base!" Mei jumped onto a crate and leaned against a yellow one, the crate opened to reveal an elevator.

MK, Tang and... Blue man (whatever his name is). They were all in awe as they followed her into the elevator, dragging Pigsy and Peach along.

They all squeezed into the small elevator, Peach smushed between MK and the steel wall. It rumbled as it descended, and they all tumbled out as the door opened, Mei the only one walking out safely.

"Welcome...to our new team base!" Mei beamed as the lights turned on, revealing a giant Tv at the back, a mech, some bed nooks, and a gaming corner. MK gasped in awe. "Mei, when did you make this?"

Pigsy looked over everything. "How did you make this?"

"Say, Sandy, weren't you building a secret base for MK, too?" Tang asked. So his name was Sandy then, at least she won't feel bad calling him blue man now.

"Umm...no." Sandy muttered back in a tone that made it obvious he had been making one. Poor guy.

Everyone looked around the secret base, Mei explaining everything excitedly, talking so fast that Peach could barely keep up.

Everything was going fine until the TV turned on on its own, a young man (probably about MK's age) with fiery looking hair was on the screen, a haughty smirk on his face.

"Citizens. It is I, Red Son. I have taken control of the Weather Station and will harness the very power of nature to return my father to his former glory. This message is more of a courtesy really. When I'm finished, my father will once more dominate the world! And then- Oh look! A lightning button." He pressed the button after interrupting his own monologue. Wonder what the button did...

"Oh yeah!" MK and Mei cheered and ran off to catch Red Son.

"What do you mean "Oh yeah"? This ain't an "oh yeah" moment!" Pigsy scolded, making the two stop.

MK waved him off. "Psh, chill out, Pigsy. I'm invincible, remember? If he wants to tussle with the champ, then I say bring it!" He held his staff like a baseball bat as Mei shot out a missile, hitting it straight on and making it explode.

"Yeah! 'Cause he's a superhero, yo! The Red Baby is gonna get M.K.O'd!" Mei said.

Peach sighed. "MK, being a hero takes a lot of responsibility, you can't just be impulsive and dive head first into danger— HEY! What did I just say!"

What did MK do?

Dive head first into danger.

"Totally invincible!"

~timeskip~

Everyone managed to catch up with MK to the weather station.

"Not so fast, Red Son!" MK said as he stood in a defensive position, ready to fight. Red Son turned to face him, a taunting smirk on his face. "Noodle Boy! I thought I smelt some garbage! Turns out I was right!" He laughed.

MK huffed. "You're laughing now, but...I'm invincible! So yeah, you're basically toast. Prepare to get M.K.O'd!" He spun his staff, readying for an attack.

"Yeah, MK! You show him who's bo-" Peach gasped loudly as MK's staff hit Mei square on the head.

"Jeez, watch what'cha doing!" Pigsy screamed, Peach knelt down and held Mei gently, worried.

"Sorry, Mei!" MK turned to apologies, but the staff was still extended, forcing everyone or duck out of the way. Sandy wasn't so lucky.

"Oh, my chakra!" He fell on the floor, Peach swore to the Star Sprites above that she saw his soul leave his body.

"Oh, no! You've killed him!" Tang panicked. "MK, watch we're you swing that staff!" Peach scolded. MK looked apologetic.

"Eh, he's a big guy. He'll be fine." Mei pat his arm before resting her hurt head on his stomach.

"You dorks done beating each other up yet?" Red Son asked in a bored tone. "Yes, and you're next on my list!" MK threw the staff at Red Son, but it went behind him instead. A short second later, the staff extended, jabbing MK out the window and down to the ground

"Oh no! MK!" Peach yelled. Red Son just laughed. "I guess the garbage takes itself out now!"

Peach glared at the demon. "Don't you have anything better to do than take over some weather station? What's the point?" Red Son turned to her now, a brow raised.

"That's not really your concern now, is it?"

"Of course it's my concern if it involves my friends!"

Red Son fake gagged. "Ugh, how sappy." He turned back to the screens, making Peach even more agitated. "Don't ignore me!"

"Whatever lady, I have no time to deal with you right now, so why don't you stop worrying your pretty little head over nothing and leave?"

"Whatever lady, I have no time to deal with you right now, so why don't you stop worrying your pretty little head over nothing and leave?"

"You— gh—" Peach shuddered in rage. She hasn't felt this angry since the whole Vibe Island Mario & Luigi kidnapping debacle.

Taking deep breaths, she calmed herself, then held up her parasol. It was yellow with blue frills and had a reddish-brown handle.

"How 'bout we deal with this scoundrel then, Perry?" The blonde opened the parasol to reveal a face. Two black beady eyes stared at Red Son, who looked at her with an offended face.

"Scoundrel!?" His hair flared with fire, Perry's smile widened.

"Oh! A villain, let me at him!" Perry chirped excitedly, wriggling in the blonde woman's hand.

"Okay, either MK hit my head that hard, or that umbrella actually spoke." Mei managed to mumble out.

Red Son stared at it in disbelief. This sky fallen girl just kept getting more and more interesting.

"Perry is my parasol, he loves fighting villains in the name of justice! Get him, Perry!" Peach released Perry, who darted straight for Red Son.

Red Son dodged left and right, avoiding the parasols attacks. If he was being honest, this whole fight feels like a coffee induced fever dream.

Getting fed up with this whole fight, Red Son just knocked back Perry the moment he saw an opening, making him land on the floor in pain (can parasols even feel pain?).

"Perry!" Peach picked them up gently.

Red Son scoffed in amusement. "Peasants" Peach gave him another pointed glare. She was about to tell him off again, but—

"Oh, Red Son!" MK drops back into the weather station, having been carried and dropped by... a monkey man on a cloud? "Let's settle this for real. I won't let you get away with this."

Red Son laughed even harder at that. "You're back to beat yourself up some more?"

"Hey. I'll have you know I can control my powers now. Only downside is I'm not invincible anymore so I could die."

"WHAT!?" Peach and Pigsy screamed.

"Forget I said that I got this. Here comes Monkie Kid!" MK readied his staff and went for an attack, but Red Son charged first with an army of robot bulls, so he began running. "I totally don't got this!"

MK and Red Son fought for a while longer, mainly just MK holding the other off of him and avoiding his fire. "How am I supposed to fight all of them?" He thought aloud, suddenly, his eyes became a bright golden colour. "Oh! It's that weird Gold Vision thingy."

MK looked around the room for an idea to beat them, when golden lightning covered his vision, setting off a lightbulb in his head. "That's it! Oh!" He was dogpiled under the bull robots, Red Son standing on the top triumphantly.

"Not so tough without all your Monkey King powers, are you?" He taunted, the pile rumbled a bit before the staff extended, thrusting them up into the sky. MK got up unscathed and walked up to the weather control panels.

"Oh, look! A lighting button." He mimicked with a smug grin before pressing it, basically using the staff as a giant lightning rod and electrocuting everyone. Peach winced at the screams.

Red Son fell to the ground, but quickly managed to get up, albeit with some trouble. "You may have won this round but... you're still garbage." He growled before teleporting off in a whirlwind of fire.

"Let's get this place back to normal." MK said as he adjusted the settings of the station, returning everything back to normal. "And that should do it."

"MK!" Mei yelled as she and Sandy excitedly tackled MK. "Aww, you really did limit your power." She pouted.

"Yeah. Just till I learn to control them better." The successor answered.

Pigsy raised an eyebrow. "And... how are you gonna do that?"

MK stood back up with a smirk. "Practice, practice, practice." He spun his staff, but managed to hit himself on the head.

Everyone laughed at his misfortune, even Peach as she crouched down and helped him sit up a bit, careful it to touch the large bump now growing on his head.

"Maybe you should stop spinning the staff..." she said awkwardly. MK nodded. "Agreed."

~meanwhile~

A crowd of Bull Clones are blown away as Demon Bull King angrily slammed his fists into the ground, clearly frustrated at the failure.

"The little thief has stolen from me again! I will not be undone by an insect!" He screamed. Before a blue light caught his attention, a similar blue colour that he saw before that mysterious woman fell from the sky and into their fight.

A voice whispered to him, promising great power and a world bending to his knees, all he needed was— "You must do what I say."

DBK smirked. "Now, that is power."

"Power?"

~returning to our heroes~

MK and Peach were eating back at the apartment, surrounded by shopping bags from the spree the two and Mei went on at the mall.

"Can you maybe not skip out in work tomorrow? I don't think I can handle cleaning and delivering again." Peach teased as she ate her dinner, some noodles generously provided by Pigsy as a way to thank her for the long shift she had that day.

"Oh, yeah. Don't worry. I can handle it no problem." MK smiled at her in assurance.

For some reason, Peach feels like it may be a problem.

A big problem.

Problem?

"Order up!" Pigsy tang the order bell as he held a bag of noodle orders. "Come on, get the let out!"

"On it!" MK chirps, grabbing the noodle orders and rushing out to deliver them. True to his word, MK kept up with his shift so Peach could have time for her shift cleaning the restaurant.

"MK's quite energetic today." Peach said as she mopped the floor next to a table with a sheepish customer.

"Tell me about it. It's like there's a switch in his brain that flips on and off." Tang agreed as he ate his noodles (that he wasn't gonna pay for =_=).

"He stopped." Pigsy grunted as he looked at his phone. "Pigsy, are you tracking him?" Peach asked. The pig demon simply nodded.

"Oh goodness." Peach pace palmed before returning to her mopping.

Peach yawned, covering her mouth politely—she's still a Princess after all, not like a anyone knows that though—no one knows... ohhh, that's going to be a problem sometime down the line.

She and MK entered the apartment. "Now for eight to twelve hours of uninterrupted- ahh. Mei!" MK yelped as Mei rushed towards them with sets of clean clothes. Peach didn't recognize the outfit.

Did she seriously go out and buy her even more clothes.

"Get up, get up, get up! We are going out!" Mei cheered, throwing the clothes in their faces.

"Wait, going? To where?" Peach asked, confused.

"We are gonna show you the coolest place in this city ever!" Mei took Peach's shirt and practically forced her into it before grabbing hers and MK's wrists and running out to the tuk-tuk.

"Awww yeah! Anti-gravity arcade!" MK squealed as Mei slammed on the tuk-tuk's gas pedal.

Anti-gravity arcade? Not going to lie, it sounds like fun.

Right as they all arrived at the arcade, they took Peach and dragged her it. If she was completely honest, it felt like she was being kidnapped again, but instead of Bowser it's her new friends and instead of forced marriage it's a bright and lit up arcade.

And it went on like this for the next three days until MK and Peach were totally sleep deprived.

Peach was sleeping- I mean sweeping. Sluggishly moving from one spot to the other, silently feeding her magic through her system to keep her awake. And if that wasn't enough, she has a very, very caffeinated tea on a table with her name on it.

MK slumped over the counter and was about to eat his lunch, but was too tired and just fell face first in the broth.

Tang turned to the boy and used his chopsticks to hold his cheek and make so his face wasn't drowning in the soup.

"Geez you two, you look like hot garbage. Tired?" He asked.

"Wow, thanks." Peach glared at Tang, her visible eye bags making her gaze more intimidating.

"What, me? No. I'm fine."

"What I mean is— you guys really tired yourselves out. But still, work all day, party all night? Painting boats? It's not good for a growing boy." MK groaned at the scholar.

"That's what you've been doing!?" Peach face palmed.

"I need to do my job, but I also want to do arts and crafts with Sandy, and party with Peach and M-m-m-MEI! Mei—Mei!" Was that him trying to beatbox or something? Tang stayed silent for a moment, before pulling out a book.

"Have you heard of the Monkey Kings 72 transformation?"

Peach looked confused. "Uhh, no?"

"Yeah?" MK also looked confused, but there was also a hint of interest too.

"Well, since you have his powers maybe you can do the same. Here, just take a strand of hair." MK yelped as Tang plucked out some hair with his chopsticks before holding it in front of the successor. "Now blow on it." MK blew, and the hair floated through the air and landed on the floor.

"Then some monkeys pop out, but..." Tang trailed off, sounding disappointed. Until the hair glowed and grew, eventually revealing itself to be a second MK.

A clone.

Peach dropped the broom in shock. Tang laughed nervously. "And a perfect clone of you comes out! Eheh..."

"I've seen everything..." Peach sat down and drank some tea.

MK and the clone looked at each other in shock before excitedly saying. "Woah! Holy moly, you look just like me!"

They looked at each other the rest of the shift, MK in total awe about his newly discovered ability. Peach went and sat next to Tang.

"I feel like you just unleashed something bad." Peach pouted at him, Tang just blushed sheepishly. "Hmm. If I wasn't so relaxed and cool, I'd probably be really worried about the consequences of this."

"PLEASE! DO BE!"

~~~
Days passed by and Peach noticed how MK and his clones never lost energy. At this point, she's seen MK make so many clones, she honestly doesn't know who the real MK is.
At one point, she managed to get a long break and went to visit Sandy, only to see him and an MK clone. The clone decked his entire boat in gold paint. Peach had to squint to see because of how sparkly it was.
Later that day, another MK clone went with Mei to the arcade. Peach wasn't as fortunate to have clones as an ability, so she was dragged along.
"Y-y-YEAH!" MK cheered as he jumped around on the anti-gravity dance was floor. Peach stuck herself to an arcade machine, opting to stay out of the dance.
The next day, there were more problems. Tang needed help organizing his books and history studies. Pigsy had two times the normal orders. Apparently, Sandy's cat Mo needed their litter box changed and MK didn't want to deal with it (peach smacked him for that one, it just seemed unnecessary).
"I don't know what happened, but I like the hustle!" Pigsy complimented MK, who did his deliveries with ease. Peach cringed, knowing what was actually happening.
Again, they went back to the anti-gravity arcade with Mei, which was probably a horrible decision, because the clone MK made for the arcade went... rogue.
"Party people make some NOISE!" The clone wore MK's work uniform, adding of pink shade glasses and a fluffy jacket, which annoyed Peach because he wasn't wearing it properly.
Peach forgot how long the party had been going on, but she stuck with Mei as they both went to approach the Party MK.
"Yeah, I'm getting pretty sleepy. Wanna hit it?" Mei yawned. Peach nodded in agreement.
"Phs, what are you talking about guys? Ain't no one leaving this porty!" Party Clone laughed out, waving the two off by heightening the noise, making the two float higher into the air.
Mei huffed, grabbed Peach's hand and swam back down. "Yeah, but this 'pOrTy's been going on for 15 hours."
"It's BeEn 15 HoUrS i'M sO sLeEpY! Tats what you sound like!" Party Clone sneered, snapping his fingers and making two bouncers appear behind him and circle in on the girls.
"I said—!" The bouncers went closer and closer. "Ain't no one. Leaving. This porty."
~~~

If Peach was with Tang right now, she would be telling him 'I told you so', because now here she is, tied up with Mei, hanging from the claw of the giant claw machine.

"This is awkward." Mei blushed. She and Peach were tied facing each other, which was definitely awkward.

"I knew I should've stepped in to stop this, I'm sorry Mei

"I knew I should've stepped in to stop this, I'm sorry Mei."

"No! Don't apologize!" Mei yelled. "It's my fault for wearing out MK so much. If I didn't, he wouldn't have had the idea to make this crazy party clone!"

The two stayed in silence, looking through the glass to see a whole army of MK's following Party MK's orders.

"I've noticed something. You've only known us for a few days, but you're really mother-henning us." Mei and Peach giggled. "Am I? I think I'm just being a proper friend."

"More like a proper mom friend."

The two laughed at that.

"Hey! Porty poopers don't get go have laughs." Party MK yelped from his disc stand. The girls huffed.

The music was almost deafening, even with the glass muffling some of it. But MK kicks loud, because here comes the original MK!

"Where are they!?"

"MK!" Peach and Mei cheered.

"Yo yo yo! OG MK in da HOUSE YOO!" If Peach heard one more slang word form his annoying mouth, she would have set Perry on him if she had him.

"I don't even know what that means! Where's Mei and Peach!" MK demanded.

Party MK chuckled sinisterly as he revealed the giant claw machine, Peach and Mei stuck inside.

"Hey MK! Mystic monkey business?" Mei asked. "You're really bad at making clones by the way!" Peach added.

"Don't worry you two, I'm coming!" MK readied himself to save them, but Party MK was one step ahead.

"If you wanna save them, you gotta get through my BOIIIS!" Activating the anti-gravity, original MK was up in the air, and now surrounded by random clones he made that practically looked like zombies under Party Clones control.

"Why did you make so many MK's, MK!?" Mei yelled as she and Peach panicked. MK said something, but Peach couldn't hear over the loud music, acting as a boss battle theme.

"Oops! My finger slipped!" Party MK pressed a button, making a hole at the bottom of the machine open with a bright, menacing light. The claw slowly descended to the hole.

"HURRY MK!" Peach yelled. "Wow you yell loud." Mei said, honestly seeming impressed.

MK fought with the clones for a bit before managing to find an opening and throwing his staff into the glass and making it shatter. He cut the two out of the rope.

The clones all hounded the three, trapping them back in the machine, only for MK to do some wavy Kung-Fu and make them all poof into golden clouds.

"Uh oh." Party MK mumbled as Mei and Peach landed on the stage behind him. Mei held her arms out and caught MK, spinning in upright and standing him up.

"Okay, one more to go." Mei smirked as the trio got into fighting stances.

"W-w-WAIT! Mei! How do you know that's the real MK! There's two of us at this porty!"

The three deadpanned. Was this guy really that dumb, or was that on purpose?

"Ah shoot, I played myself." Party MK growled. "It's time to stop this." MK did his wavy Kung-Fu before aiming and hitting Party MK.

"Never forget... de music."

And he poofed.

MK dusted his hands off triumphantly. "Hoo, and that's all of them." Peach grimaced in disgust at the large hair clump on the floor.

"Yikes, that's a nasty bald spot. Here, lemme fix it." Mei picked up the hair clump and stuck it MK's forehead.

"Is it noticeable?" He asked. "Not at all, my boy." Mei replied, stroking the rest of the hair clump, which she stuck to her face, mimicking an old man's voice.

"Eww, don't stroke it!" MK said, the trio laughed.

"Hehe, here MK, let me see." Peach turned MK to her and placed a hand on the bald spot. She breathed deeply before her hand glowed pink, seconds later, MK's hair returned to normal.

"There, all fixed."

"WOAH! Since when did you have magic!?" MK's eyes sparkled. "Yeah! That was so neat!" Mei added.

"My whole life? Ive never really had a use for it here until now." Peach scratched her cheek. "Anyways, thanks for saving us MK, and thanks for being amazing back there Mei, still wasn't your fault though."

Peach put her head between theirs and kissed MK's cheek, then Mei's. The two blushed.

"Oh, yeah! No problem Peach, it's what friends do, eheh!" Mei rambled, MK nodded with an embarrassed smile. "Yep, all in a day of hero work! Let's head home now!" MK rushed off to the tuk-tuk, Mei followed quickly after.

Peach giggled at their reactions before leaving as well.

~~~
"Got the night off, huh?" Mei asked as MK took his uniform jacket off.
"Yeah, Pigsy cut me some slack. After I cleaned up all that hair. And paid him back for all the food." MK yawned. Peach smirked. "So, did you learn your lesson?"
MK sat at the end of his bed. "You know it! Aw, Monkey King marathon! Turn it up! Aw, thanks."
Neither Peach, nor Mei turned up the tv. The two turned to see MK with... a clone.
Mei was set aflame with green fire, Peach with an aura of menacing pink wish magic.
"Wha?" The two MK's turned and shrunk down after spotting the two angry women.
"MK!"
"AHHH!"
Chapter 5: ⭐️ - Coming Home
Chapter Text
~~~

"Button mash all you want, MK. You'll never beat my Ancient Galloping Fury Power." Mei taunted as she fought MK's character on the arcade cabinet across the street from the shop.

"Yeah! Get him Mei!" Peach cheered.

"Up smash, up smash!" Sandy chanted, MK huffed. "I'm trying, Sandy. Okay? I'm trying, I'm trying." He panicked as his character went into low hp area.

"No one can defeat me." Mei laughed, but paused when her phone rang. She took it out of her pocket and looked at the ID. Peach couldn't help but look.

It was her mom.

"Oh boy. Hi, Mom. Yes. Of course." Mei walked off. MK saw this as the perfect opportunity to beat her, but Peach wasn't having it.

"Oh no you don't, MK."  Peach took over for Mei and ended up beating him.

"Aw man!" MK groaned, face planting into the buttons.

"Yes, Mother." Mei sighed in defeat before hanging up.

"Hey, you okay there, Mei?" Sandy asked worriedly. Met scratched the back of her head. "Yeah. It's just— My parents— they want me to housesit." She said.

Sandy raised a brow. "And that's a bad thing?"

"No.  Me and my parents, we—"

"Uh, did Mei say sleepover at her house?" MK butt in between Mei and Sandy excitedly. "What? No. My parents would want --"

"Sleepover! I've always wanted to see inside Mei's secret Dragon House full of secret dragon stuff." MK listed in a creepy voice. "Come on, please? Please, please, please, please, please?"

Mei gave an apprehensive look, before caving in under he best friends puppy dog eyes. "Sleepover it is."

"Ah yeah. This sleepover is going to be amazing. You know what? I'll bring my Monkey King DVDs so we can have a marathon."

"MK, PEACH! BREAK'S OVER, BACK TO WORK!!" Pigsy yelled.

"You got it boss. See ya tonight Mei! Woohoo!" MK ran into the restaurant to continue with work.

"Mei, I'll make sure to keep an eye on him at your place, okay?" Peach assured Mei, who smiled gratefully. "Thanks."

Peach smiled before also entering the restaurant.

~~~
Peach, MK, Mei and Sandy all arrived at Mei's home. Which was much larger that Peach had anticipated, but seeing as how she could blow money like it was nothing, she probably should have expected that.
The house itself was a pristine white, with many shades of black, green and gold mixed in. Peach admired the golden dragon are on the black walls of the stone fence.
"It's even better than I thought. Growing up here must have been great." MK's eyes sparkled as he zoomed around to get a good look on everything.
"Yeah, I guess. But -- I don't know. When I was growing up, I just wanted to be rough and tumble. Break stuff. Look at bugs. You know, have fun just like normal girl stuff. But when your house is pretty much a museum and you come from a long line of ancient, noble dragons, that's kind of... frowned on." Mei exclaimed sadly. Oof- that hit pretty close to Peach, Mei's situation reminding her of how Daisy was growing up.
Mei caught herself and smiled at the theee. "Anyway. Onwards to the definitely-not-going-to-be-terrible sleepover." She laughed awkwardly. MK and Sandy ran off to look around, but Peach hung back and pat Mei on the shoulder.
"Do be so down. It probably won't be as bad as you think if we keep them on a tight leash." Mei looked at Peach and smiled. "Yeah, you're right. Just gotta make the most of it!" The dragon girl said with newfound confidence.
"Now let's go!" Mei grabbed Peach's hand and ran off to where Sandy and MK went, hopefully they hasn't destroyed anything yet.
"Whoa." Scratch that, actually. They couldn't destroy anything because a series of security systems aimed at the two boys, making them freeze in terror.
Mei scurried over and deactivated the system, the two sighed in relief. "Yeah, my parents are a bit serious about the old security thing."
"Welcome home, Mei." The automated voice of the system greeted her, the ravenette just shrugged. "Yeah."
"This is amazing." MK whispered in awe, Sandy nodded. "Whoa. What is all this stuff?"
"Ah, you know. Gifts, artifacts, offerings. Just stuff that's been in my family for — guys. Wait!" Mei panicked as the two began messing around with the artifacts.
"If I had all this stuff, I don't even know what I would do. Sell it, probably." MK said, looking at an axe then attempting to throw it, only to hit the helmet of the armour behind him, something else catching his eye.
" Yeah, this stuff looks really great. Looks like a few good years, maybe. Centuries." Sandy deduced.
"BOYS!" Peach yelled out, making the two pause. "Hands in pockets now!" She ordered, MK and Sandy immediately obeying by sticking their arms to their sides.
"Thanks for that Peach. Now follow me. You guys are such menaces, you know that?" Mei scolded.
After exiting the entrance hall, Mei took them in a tour of the mansion. First stop was the garage, turning on the lights revealed an array of shiny and expensive cars. "This is the garage filled with all the awesome things I am not allowed to drive." Mei sighed on disappointment.
"This is one of our many long hallways." Her voice reverberated throughout. "Echo!" Peach cheered, her voice echoed back.
"We also have the Celestial Jade Garden." They four all stood on a bridge that went over a small river, a perfect view of the perfectly cultivated plants. Peach 'ooh'ed as she saw some fish in the crystal-like water.
"The room with the 30 centuries of antiques." A hall was filled with antiques, all lined up neatly.
"Pool of a Thousand Tears." They all stood on lily pads now, a soothing waterfall to their right and they floated.
"Wow, everything outside is so beautiful
"Wow, everything outside is so beautiful." Peach was in awe. "Do you thank you can tell me where you get all your plants from? I need to know!"
"That's something you should ask out gardener, or my mom maybe. Anyways, continuing on—"
"Tea and snack room." The room was filled with shades of light green and brown, creating a calming atmosphere.
"My bedroom!" Mei's bedroom was a stark contrast to everything else outside. It was cluttered, filled with all sorts of merch and memorabilia and seemed to just be like a normal girls room.
"And this is the Dragon Claw Chamber." She said as they passed by a seemingly empty room, but MK noticed something.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up." He went back and into the chamber, everyone else following. Near the end of the chamber was a marble statue of a dragon, holding a sharp, jade green blade with a golden dragon handle.
"Whoa. Now this thing is cool. So what's the dealio with this deal, yo?" MK geeked out.
"That's the sword of my great-great-great times a thousand great-grandfather, the Dragon of the West. Legends say that my grandfather imbued it with unimaginable power so that our clan would always have the strength of the dragon to protect them. Its true power will only show itself to those deemed worthy. A true member of our clan who's proven themselves strong enough to protect our family from the forces of evil. But I'm not allowed to touch it." Mei sulked before lightening up a bit. "Hey, anyone want to see the game room?"
"Yeah." "All right." "Sure." MK, Sandy and Peach all said together.
They entered the game room, mainly filled with all types of pinball machines. "A pinball machine? I've always wanted to try one of these." MK excitedly hugged a pinball machine at the very end of the room.
"Yeah, now this place is home. All right. You two boot up the old TV. I will go get some s-n-n-n-nacks. Okay, don't break anything while I'm gone!" Mei chirped mad left to get somethings to eat.
"Ha. Don't break anything while I'm gone. Yeah, right." MK pulled on the plugger to start the game, but it immediately came out of the cabinet.
"Noooo." MK whispered to not alert Mei. "MK, what the heck!?" Peach panicked. "I don't know what happened!" MK held his hands up. The three looked at each other in panic before MK turned to Sandy. "Sandy, go find some tape."
Sandy managed to find some duct tape in a cabinet and gave it to MK, who tried to carefully put the plugger back into place and tape it down.
"Careful, careful." Sandy chanted. MK place the last piece of tape, sighing in relief as it worked.
Only for it to immediately break right down the Center.
"Ahhh! Oh no!" Peach worried. "Maybe a little more tape?" Sandy wondered. MK shook his head.
"No, no. I broke it. Part of being a hero is owning up to your mistakes. Wish me luck." MK walked out of the room. Sandy and Peach looked at each other. "Follow him?" She asked. Sandy nodded. "Yep."
~~~

"My goodness! What happened?" Peach asked as she and Sandy walked up to Mei and MK, who were standing in the entrance hall.

"Someone tried to steal the Dragon Sword. I stopped them with this, the Dragon Sword." Mei exclaimed, MK smiled a bit. Whoa, the Dragon Sword. "That's— Mei, I'm really glad you stopped them, but I have a confession to make. I accidentally—"

"Accidentally what?" Mei prompted, but she looked so happy that MK couldn't help but not tell her about the pinball machine.

"—accidentally didn't know what was going on. Wow, that thing's amazing."

"Ahem."

The four turned to the doorway, and standing there were Mei's parents, both with stern and intimidating looks on their faces.

"Mom, Dad. You're back." Mei greeted nervously, trying to hide the blade behind her back.

"We were on our way when we realized somebody forgot our luggage." Mrs.Dragon answered, glaring over at her husband.

"Um, Sandy, Peach, were you two kind of expecting Mei's parents to be literally two, big, scary dragons?" MK asked, scared.

"Nope."

"Mm-mh."

"I can explain. Someone tried to steal the sword. I didn't let them. And I used this. I'm sorry." Mei stuttered out, showing the Dragon Blade, before giving up on explaining and kneeling down for them to take the sword.

Mr.Dragon nodded. "We saw the whole thing."

"But I couldn't just—"

"And we're so proud of you." Mr.Dragon smiled with pride. Mei looked at him dumbfounded. "What?"

Mr.Dragon chuckled. "The Dragon Blade is the pride of our family heritage. Its power only shows itself to those that embrace their history. Their family."

Mrs.Dragon knelt down so she was face-to-face with her daughter. "We may not always see eye-to-eye, and your friends are more unique than we expected, but you are a part of this family. And it is part of you. We love you."

"I love you too, Mom. Dad." Mei's voice cracked a bit and her parents enveloped her in a hug. Weirdly enough, MK also joined the hug. "I am sorry about the house, though."

"What's important is that you are okay. Objects can be replaced." Mrs.Dragon comforted. Mr.Dragon laughed. "Everything except my prized pinball machine. That is irreplaceable."

"Uhh." MK cringed.

"Anyways, me and my friends were in the middle of our sleepover. Can they still stay, please?" Mei pleaded.

"Of course, dear. Just make sure you stay safe, alright? Seems we'll have to upgrade security... again." Mrs.Dragon said. "Agreed, it isn't tight enough if a bull clone managed to get in." Mr.Dragon added.

"You have fun with your friends, we'll just get our luggage and be on our way."

"Okay!" Mei said, her parents walked off to go find their luggage and Mei turned back to her friends. "Alright! Let's return to our sleepover!"

"YEAH!"

"Mei... about that pinball machine." MK began. Mei paused before slowly turning to MK. "Don't tell me you broke it."

MK smiled nervously. Mei face palmed. "Oh geez."

"I tried, but the duct tape didn't work." MK explained. Mei deadpanned. "What about Peach's fixing magic?"

"... OH! I totally forgot she had that." Everyone face palmed.

Girls Night

Chapter 6: 🌸 - Girls Night

Chapter Text

~~~
"Peach~ tonight's the night~!" Mei sang as she entered the shop. Said blonde perked up. "Tonight?" She repeated in an excited voice. Mei nodded enthusiastically. "Tonight!"
"What's happening tonight?" MK asked, confused. Mei and Peach just smiled. "GIRLS NIGHT!" They squealed together.
MK winced at the volume. "Girls night?" "Yeah! Which means no boys allowed." Mei stated with her hands on her hips. MK deflated. "Aw man..."
"I already have the whole night planned. First we'll head out to eat something at the anti-gravity arcade, they have the best burgers." Mei started. Peach 'ooh'ed. "Then, we'll head out to the mall. There's this new dress I think would look super good on you. Then, hold onto your headband, I'm about to blow your mind."
Peach giggled. "Heh, okay." She placed a hand on her head over her headband. "They have this sport area in the mall, lookie what I got!" Mei held up a card. "A 24-hour sports card so we can play all sorts of sports for however long we want!"
"No way! That's so cool!"
"I know right!?" Mei and Peach babbled excitedly about the nights plans while MK zoned out, actually pretty jealous of the two getting along so well. And the way Mei looked at Peach...
MK shook his head, getting rid of his thought, before grabbing some bags and going out to do some orders. Peach and Mei barely noticing he left.
As he drove and dropped off orders, he stewed in this thoughts, still totally not jealous of the girl's night out.
~~~

"Oh, you're right! These burgers really are good." Peach said. Her and Mei had finally began their girls night out. Mei smiled. "I know right! I think it's some type of magic or something." She joked. Peach giggled.

Far off, behind some arcade cabinets, we're some spies.

"Why are we doing this MK?" His mentor, Sun Wukong, asked. MK had no other choice. Pigsy still had to do work, Tang was busy with a lecture, one of Sandy's cats fell ill, and there was no way he was doing this alone.

"I need to make sure nothing happens to them!" MK answered. Sun Wukong looked unconvinced. "You sure you aren't just jealous of Mei. I see the way you look at your new friend." He teased. MK's face flushed red and the mentor laughed. "I can see why, she's actually kinda cute. What was her name again?"

"Shhhh!" MK covered the Monkey King's mouth, noticing how Peach and Mei had gotten up and threw their trays away. "They're on the move." MK sneakily followed the two, Wukong being dragged along.

Why did he agree to this.

~~~
"See! I told you the dress would suit you!" Mei watched as Peach came out of the dressing room, excitedly bouncing on her heels.
The dress she had seen online was luckily still in stock, so she gave one to Peach to try on. The pattern reminded Peach of Toadette, it was honestly kind of jarring for her.
Peach folded her hands in front of her, actually flustered with Mei.
"Aww, thanks
"Aww, thanks." She blushed. "I think I might actually buy it." Peach twirled in the dress. Mei shook her head. "No, no. I'm buying."
"You've been buying me too many things, I have money, I can pay on my own." Peach pressured on. Mei huffed. "I have money too."
The two glared playfully at each other, before Peach came up with an idea. "Okay then, Rock Paper Scissors then."
Mei raised and amused eyebrow. "Loser pays?" Peach laughed, and it was actually a bit sinister. "Winner pays."
~~~

Peach kept up her triumphant smirk as she carried the bag with the dress in it, head held high. Mei was grumbling next to her, muttering about how Peach had rigged the game.

Did Peach win and pay for the dress? Yeah.

Did she know she would win. Yes, but she wouldn't tell Mei that.

Monkey King had thought the same thing. "She knew she would win, that's why she made a rule like that. Interesting." This lady kept getting better and better.

"Monkey King! Stay focused. They're going for the sports arenas next." MK ran with his arms at his sides Monkey King casually walking as he followed his successor, not needing to worry about being recognized in his disguise.

"This kid is head over heels, jeez."

~~~
"Peach, I swear if you're cheating—!"
"I'm not!" Peach laughed heartily at Mei, who was pouting at her like a child. Peach thought it was quite endearing.
They had started with basketball. Simple enough. Except Peach was quick on her feet and kept snagging the ball from the dragon girl.
Next was tennis, and somehow in the middle of a match, Peach had used magic, meaning Mei could use magic. They went at it like that for a bit, when Peach used what she called a zone-shot, and accidentally broke the racket.
Next was volleyball, and Peach was apparently especially good at this, since she demolished Mei three times in a row.
At this point, Mei was convinced Peach was some kind of Mary-Sue type person. Until she noticed something.
Peach seemed apprehensive at the idea of playing Dodgeball, which Mei had taken full advantage of.
And it seemed she was right, because Peach sucked at Dodgeball.
"Haha! Finally!" Mei screamed out like a madwoman. Peach huffed in amusement. "Congratulations, you finally defeated me."
"WHOOOO!"
"Wow, that pink girl sure is something." Sun Wukong whistled, impressed. "Her name is Peach." MK said.
Wukong perked at that. Peach was her name? Adorable.
"It doesn't really seem that they're in all that much danger, honestly. Are you sure you weren't just jealous of them having a night out."
"W-what!? Me? Jealous? Pfft- nooooo that's ridiculous!" MK laughed.
Oh, he was so jealous.
Wukong decided not to push any further, even though this side of MK was hilarious to watch. He kept quiet, keeping a curious eye on Peach.
This girl was more interesting that he expected.
~~~

Peach and Mei were now walking in a courtyard garden by the mall, walking in a bridge that overlooked a crystal-like lake, the shined under the sunset.

"Ooh, how pretty." Peach said dreamily as she leaned on the railing of the bridge, looking into the sunset. Mei joined her with a smile. "Totally."

Then, there was a calm silence, no words needed to be said. Just Peach, Mei, the sunset, and MK in the bush. Peach held back a laugh.

"Peach! Let's take a picture together!" Mei excitedly held up a Polaroid camera. Peach nodded. "Sure."

Mei wrapped an arm around Peach's waist, while the blonde slung hers over Mei's shoulder.

"Cheese!"

The sunset created the perfect lighting on her, and the background was beautiful. Making the picture all that more breathtaking for Mei.

"I'll make you a copy, don't worry!" Mei said as she pocketed the picture. Peach nodded. "Okay!"

~~~
"Did you have fun spying on us?" Peach asked in a teasing tone as she leaned against the doorframe of MK's room. The poor noodle boy was caught red handed.
"Me? Spying on you. Nooo, of course not!" Peach simply continued looking at MK, until he cracked a few seconds later.
"Okay, fine. I was spying. I just wanted to make sure you guys didn't get hurt." He admitted. "I'm sorry."
Peach walked into the room and sat next to MK, putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I get it, you're worried about us getting attacked and all that. You can be worried about us, but me and Mei and handle ourselves. There's no need for you to snoop around." Peach smiled softly as MK looked at her, smiling back a bit.
"Okay." Was all he said.
The music from the tv blared to life. Showing the show he was in the middle of watching. "Monkey King marathon again?" She inquired. MK nodded. "Alright, I'll go make us some popcorn then." Peach stood up.
"Us?" MK repeated, confused. Peach giggled. "I was thinking of joining you this time around, unless you don't want that."
"Oh— I don't mind, you can join!" MK exclaimed. Peach walked to the doorway. "Okay then, be right back then."
The rest of the girls night was spent binging Monkey King: The Animated Series with MK, while eating fresh popcorn.
MK couldn't ask for anything better.
Sun Wukong paced around his shame temple, stuck in thought.
Peach was a girl. Alright. A girl that his successor just so happened to have a crush on. Same with his little dragon friend.
And maybe same with him...
Chapter Text
~~~

How did Peach end up in this?

Another lovely day gone wrong.

The Princess had decided to spoil herself a bit a buy herself some things. Mainly just a necklace and some heels she had her eyes on for a while.

The heels fit the new polka dot dress Mei had bought her on their girls night, making Peach weirdly giddy.

And as she exited the shop, she was suddenly surrounded by bull clones, all being manned by...

"PINK LADY!"

Oh stars... Red Son.

Peach groaned. "If you're going to insult me, at least come up with a better name!" She rolled her eyes with her hands on her hips.

"Hmph, sassy." Red Son growled. "What are you even doing anyways!?" Peach asked, gesturing with her arms spread out to the bull clones.

"Well YOU just so happened to get caught up in my new master plan!"

"And what is it this time?" Peach was honestly not amused in the slightest, not even scared like the civilians in the store behind her. She was more annoyed than anything. He had interrupted such a nice day...

"This time, I have taken over the Mayors office to aid my father in controlling the city. Then... THE WORLD!" He monologues, finishing off with an evil laugh. The bull clones closed in on her. "And I've decided to deal with noodle boy and his pesky little friends. And you are my first target." He snapped his finger and off he went, leaving Peach and a store full of petrified civilians, about to be attacked by bull clones.

"Hmph, stupid Red Son and his stupid clones." Peach grumbled, throwing her bags back and summoning Perry.

"Oh, oh! Those robot things again! Is it Red Son again?" Perry babbled. Peach nodded. "You know it. Have at them!" She released his handle, letting Perry go wild and confuse the bull clones.

Some bull clones, however, weren't distracted by the sentient parasol and decided to attack Peach head on.

Guess it's time for me to fight... smash style.

As soon as the first bull clone came in, she deflected its punch and did a combo of a few slaps, then a kick, knocking it back and possibly even leaving a dent. She zeroed in on a second one going in for a punch, but faking out last second and sweeping it's feet before hitting it away with her frying pan after it lost its balance.

"HA—TCHA!" A third came from her side, but she easily hit it back, harshly shifting to the side and attacking with her hip. Two more from above. "Perry!" She called to him, quickly arriving to be held. She jumped with Perry above her, hitting one of them, then released Perry to aerial attack the other.

She kept calm and continued fighting the hoard of clones, through her muffled hearing —being too immersed in the fight— she could hear the cheers of the civilians she was technically protecting.

Right, civilians, here. She absolutely can not allow any bull clones to pass her.

The adrenaline and intensity of the battle made it seem it went by quicker than she thought, when it had only been almost an hour. Feeling worn-out and still running off of adrenaline, she stepped over the bull clones and grabbed Perry, triumphant in his victory.

"Good job Perry, but we're not finished just yet. We need to save the Mayor!" Peach held Perry like a normal parasol before rushing off to the heart of Main Street, where the Mayor's office most likely is.

~~~
On her way, Peach encountered even more bull clones attempting to stop her. The screens that normally showed advertisements, there were breaking news, showcasing how workers fled the City Hall when Red Son attacked, the bull clones now stalking the streets, and her beating bull clones. The 'mysterious pink hero' they were calling her.
Now it was only a matter of time when MK and the others would arrive to help.
Peach didn't think for long, shifting back to her fighting mindset as she took down the bull clones that came to attack her.
The whole thing reminded her of Subspace Emissary, except with bull clones and Red Son rather then those strange shadow robots and Ganon.
Finally getting to the Main Street Square, she spotted the City Hall. A very modern office building with 'City Hall' in large, golden letters above the cement staircase that led up to the double doors.
Meanwhile, at the very top in the Mayor's Office, Red Son sat at the Mayor's desk, spinny chair facing the window as he tapped his fingers together menacingly.
He smirked, hearing stomping from outside the door, then said door opening with a loud bang. The Mayor, who was tied up in the corner, jerked over to look who was at the door, but was actually surprised to see a dainty seeming woman there with a scowl on her face.
"Ahh, Noodle Boy! You've finally—!"
"Wrong person, Hot Head!"
Red Son swivelled around harshly, shocked to see Peach at the doorway, glaring at him. "What!? How did you escape my bull clones!?" He shrieked.
"What do you think?" Peach deadpanned, holding out her arms and showcasing the bruises and scratches she had gained on her way. "And you're next!"
"Haha! You defeated my bull clones, so what!? I'm much more powerful than you think!"
"What about that time at the weather station?" Peach asked in a monotone voice. Red Son sputtered. "That was ONE time!"
"Besides, I've finally figured you out, Pink Lady!" Red Son laughed evilly. "I know of your wish powers, your parasol, your weaknesses— everything! You aren't escaping my wrath so easily!"
"You aren't escaping my wrath either, buster!" Peach rolled up her sleeves, preparing for battle. "You interrupt my day, attack me and many other innocent peoples, then hold the Mayor hostage in his own office!? That is completely unacceptable!" She scolded.
"What are you, my maid? Stop being such a stick in the mud."
"Oh I'll show you 'stick in the mud'! Hi-YAH!" Peach attacked from above with a high kick, Red Son dodged with ease.
He threw a punch at her, but she retaliated with a block and a front kick, hitting him right in the chin (a̶n̶d̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ ̶a̶ ̶p̶e̶e̶k̶ ̶u̶p̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶k̶i̶r̶t̶)
He staggered back, flustered. Giving Peach an opening for a slap, but Red Son recovered fast and managed to grab her wrist. Peach gasped dramatically before he flipped her over his shoulder.
"Heh, you're just as dainty and weak as you look." Red Son taunted.
Something in Peach snapped. She had a rough day because of Red Son's bull clones and she was not going to let him make it even worse.
Peach wobbled to her height as she stood. "Weak? Me? Haha!" Red Son looked confused. "I'll show you weak!"
She growled as she was set aflame from rage
She growled as she was set aflame from rage. Red Son looked like he was about to faint.
She had fire powers? Controlled by her rage, almost like him? What is with this lady?
Before he had any time to mull his thought over, Peach attacked in a flurry of flames and sparks. Red Son just barely dodged, but Peach went in for another and another, every single one blocked or dodged until Peach had enough and just picked him up and threw him out the window.
"Wha-WHA—! AAHHHHHH!!" Red Son screamed as he fell.
"Is that Red Son!?" She could hear MK screech as she looked at the fiery demon fall to the ground. He was a demon, he would live.
Peach calmed her flames and managed to stagger over to the Mayor and untie him. "Oh dear, thank you so much for saving me!" The Mayor smiled widely, twisted his head awkwardly to face her.
Peach didn't really care all that much about details about him though. She nodded, muttered, "Yeah, no problem."
Then promptly passed out.
~~~

"Peach! Thank goodness you're okay!" MK said as the blonde woman woke up slowly. "Ugh, loud." She grumbled.

"Sorry, sorry." MK whispered. Peach began waking up fully now, noticing how she wasn't in some type of hospital like she thought, but instead of some type of... temple?

"Where are we?" She asked, her voice was hoarse as she spoke.

"You're in my shame temple." Peach turned to a second voice on her right, a monkey man on a nimbus, eating... peach chips?

"What the heck? Am I still delirious?"

The monkey man snickered. "You're friends funny, kid. Anyways, here." The monkey man used his tail to push forward a glass of water next to her. He hummed a thanks before drinking.

"Peach, slow down! You'll choke!" MK worried. "She looks fine, kid. 'Sides, she'll live."

"Monkey King, this is serious!" MK huffed, but went back to worrying as Peach coughed mid-drink. "See, I told you!"

"MK, I love you, but I don't need your sass right now."

MK's face erupted in red, Monkey King laughing at him. "Haha! Kid, you're face!" MK pouted, crossed his arms and looked away with a huff, much like a child.

Peach smiled slightly and comfortingly pat his arm.

~~~
"Red Son, you weren't defeated by that little brat, what happened?" Princess Iron Fan raised a curious brow at her son, who walked through the hall bruised and burned.
"Pink Lady." He responded simply. Iron Fan was just more confused. "Clarify?"
"That lady that fell from the sky apparently also has fire powers whenever she's mad? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she's fought in actual fighting tournaments with the way she tossed me out of a window." Red Son finished sassily before stomping off to her room.
Iron Fan watched as her son rounded the corner before chuckling, and evil smirk on her face. "Looks like that little lady is more worth our time than we thought."
Chapter 8: ⭐️ - Noodles or Death
Chapter Text
~~~

"GUYS! PIGSY'S MISSING!!" MK screeched at the top of his lungs as he and Peach ran into the Sea Crate Base in a panic.

Sandy and Mei, who were sitting at the gaming tv, looked at them confused. "Missing? What do you mean he's missing?" Mei asked.

"What we mean is that he didn't come to open ship today!" Peach yelled. "He's been pig-napped!" MK added. Sandy began panicking too. "I immediately fear the worst!"

Mei rushed over to the giant tv screen and turned it on, pushing a few buttons before a recording showed up.

"Hey, that's Pigsy. Oh phew, he's just went shopping." MK said in relief. Peach sighed.

"Who's filming this?" Sandy wondered.

The camera panned down to show a bowl of half-eaten noodles, before panning back up to Pigsy and a mysterious shop woman. MK realized. "It's Tang! Oh, I realized now, Tang is also missing. What is this?"

"I attached cameras to all of you guys a while back. Not so creepy now, is it?" Mei answered smugly. "Ehh, a bit creepy." Peach made a so-so hand motion. Mei rolled her eyes.

"Aw, she seems nice. Maybe they're fine." Sandy said, watching Pigsy and Tang follow the woman to the back, only to look down and fall into a giant hole. "Oh, no! I was wrong. This is very, very, very bad!"

MK gasped. "Scary nightmare hole! What happened?" Mei zoomed into the large fugue above the hole, enhancing and brightening until it showed the culprit.

"Uh, Spider Demon?! Come on. No. Ew, yuck, I hate spiders. Hate, hate, hate! With their eyes, and feet, and furry butts!" MK listed in disgust. "MK, calm down." Peach pat his shoulder comfortingly.

"Okay, a Spider Demon's got our friends. You know what that means?" Sandy said ominously. Mei nodded in determination. "It's time for..."

Peach smirked and spoke in a dramatic voice. "Operation: Rescue Tang and Pigsy from the Nightmare Hole."

~~~
Peach, Mei, MK and Sandy all got settled into the speedboat before driving off. Not on water, but on the actual road.
"Where to?" Sandy asked. Mei whipped out her phone, almost dropping in the process. Peach managed to catch it and track Pigsy and Tang. "Across town!" She yelled out, handing Mei back her phone, who whispered a thanks.
Sandy sped up, Mei and MK cheering as Peach inwardly apologized to any construction worker who would have to fix this poor road. "Woo-hoo! Rescue mission!"
"Sorry!" Peach yelled to a poor civilian who they barely missed. "Speed boats are not made for land guys!"
MK chuckled sheepishly. "Yeah, we kinda realize that now." "NOW!?"
~~~

"Rescue mission!" Mei and MK excitedly yelled as the group of four fell into the Nightmare Hole, still in the boat. They luckily managed to crash in a small body of water, and thankfully no one is hurt.

"Maybe you should've saved your boat for an adventure with more water." Mei stated, Sandy agreed. "Yeah, I, uh, just got excited." He blushed a bit.

MK let out a piercing scream. "Spider Demon!" In front of him was a baby spider, dangling from a web. The spider was a stark contrast to the dreary atmosphere of the hole, being a lilac colour with mint green legs and a small, dark purple heart shaped mark on its fluffy bum.

"Aww, it's just a baby spider, no need to get so worked up." Peach said gently as she held out a hand, she could've sworn she heard the spider giggle as it crawled onto her hand.

"Aren't you a cutie

"Aren't you a cutie." The blonde cooed, the spider bounced happily. "Peach! What are you doing!?!?" MK freaked out. Peach internally smirked in mischief. "I'm gonna keep you!"

"Noooo!"

Mei unwrapped a scarred MK from her body. "MK, it's just a little baby spider. Come on, let's go find Piggy." "And Tang." Sandy added.

"Ok, I'll use my super sight of truth to find our friends in this palace of nightmares." MK said, activating his golden eyes and looking around.

"What do you see, MK?" Sandy whispered. Said successor recoiled in disgust and fear. "Ew! Ew! This place is full of webs and horror! We're never gonna get though all this!"

Mei put a hand on MK's shoulder and cleared her throat. "Ahem, if you'll allow me." She pulled out her dragon sword and blasted a hole through the wall.

"Pigsy! Tangy!" Sandy exclaimed happily, but the moment was ruined when he, Mo, Mei and Peach were tied up in webs and attached to a giant spider web.

"MK!" Peach yelped out in distress. MK gasped. "Guys!" Mei's dragon blade drops to the floor and he begins to quiver and fear.

The Spider Queen laughed. "Don't tell me you're scared of spiders?" She cooed mockingly.

Pigsy spit out the webs over his mouth. "Kid, run!" MK ran, the Spider Queen chasing after him, laughing maniacally.

"I'm sorry, Tang. I got this into this mess. We're gonna meet to work together to get out of it." Pigsy declared. Tang nodded. "Mm-hm."

The two swung themselves and used the dragon blade to cut themselves free if the cocoon.

"Operation: Free MK From the Nightmare Hole!" Peach cheered as the two used the dragon blade to free her, Mei, Sandy and Mo from their own cocoons

~~~
As ran, he heard the Spider Queens laughter echo throughout the cavern. "Huh?"
"And you're the kid old Monkey King chose?" Spider Queen mocked. MK huffed. "Hey! I'm a Monkie Man!" He retorted.
The Spider Queen lunged towards MK, pinning him against a spider's web. The act caused MK to drop his staff and begin panicking.
"Do you wanna know what you are? You're my ticket back to the throne. All that power the Monkey King give you. After I made my dinner, it's all gonna be my power." The Spider Queen leaned closer.
"Hey, you, bug lady!" The two looked behind Spider Queen, seeing Pigsy and everyone else freed.
"Here comes Monkie Kid's...friend's!" Tang said, an awkward pause in the middle. Pigsy smirked. "That's right! We got a catchphrase too!"
"You and your friends are terrible guests." Spider Queen grumbled frustratedly.
"You were gonna eat my best friend! And also these guys! Well, now you're gonna eat this!" Mei pressed a button, which opened up a hatch and up came a laser shooter, Mo at the helm. "Mo, fire!" Mo began shooting at Spider Queen, said demon crawled along the walls to dodge.
"MK, it's time to go!" Peach said. "Right!" MK got up and went to grab his staff, struggling as he ran. Spider Queen came back and attacked MK again, pinning him to the ground. "Urgh, get off me!"
The ground began to shake and crumble, soon, the MK, his group, and Spider Queen fell. The Spider Queen catches herself with her mech, but the others fell into the sewer.
"Water adventure? It's a water adventure! MK, come on!" Sandy exclaimed, heading to the wheel. Peach held out Perry for MK to grab, he grabbed the handle and Peach pulled him up.
Sandy drove them all out of the sewers and into the ocean, everyone (except Sandy) groaning tiredly.
"Operation: Rescue Tang and Pigsy, success." Peach managed to say before holding up a spider. "I'm gonna call him Mr.Fluff-Butt."
MK pulled away from her when she held up the spider. "WHY!?"
Peach shrugged. "Because why not."
~~~

Back at the noodle shop, Peach worked on sweeping the floors, Mr.Fluff-Butt on her shoulder.

"You're going to need to get him a tank, some stuff for the tank, some food, and one of those humidifier things." Tang listed off, Peach nodding absentmindedly.

"You're seriously keeping that thing?" Pigsy glared at the spider like it personally insulted his mother. "Yep! He's cute and I like him, so I'm keeping him." Peach solidified.

"Greaaat." MK groaned.

Chapter 9: ⭐️ - Calabash

Chapter Text

~~~
"Pigsy? Any idea where MK could be? He wasn't at the apartment when I woke up." Peach asked, concerned as she walked into the restaurant.
"He took an early delivery shift, but he hasn't come back yet." He exclaimed. "You might need to take over again."
Peach sighed. "Oh boy... Maybe I'll find him along the way. I'm guessing he took the tuk-tuk as well?"
"Yeah. I'll make sure the load is lighter, and there's a scooter you can use next to the shop. It might be a bit old, but it still works." Peach nodded a thanks to her boss and went outside to check up on the scooter.
The scooter looked more like a motorbike than anything, it's whole body reminded her of her Mach Bike. The paint is chipped in many places, and the glass is even cracked, but hopefully Mei could help her fix some things up, considering the dragon girl has a bike of her own.
Peach rolled the motorbike up to the entrance, Pigsy already standing there with the current orders he got, along with the keys. "Just push the button then pt the keys into the ignition, turn it all the way back and keep it that way until the engine starts up. You can take it out, the only way to turn the bike off is to do the same thing, except with this button." Pigsy explained.
He pointed to two buttons, the first being the ignition button, which read "GO" on it, the second was the button to turn the engine off, simply being a ❌ symbol.
"Okay, I think I got it. Thanks." Peach smiled and took the bags, placing them in the black saddle bag and closing it tightly. "Don't forget this." Pigsy shoved a helmet into her arms before rushing back to the kitchen.
Peach looked at the helmet, it was practically brand new. Shiny, no chips in paint or plastic. Nothing of the sort. It was mainly white and covered her ears, the brim was a dark pink and the colour was the same for the restaurant logo on the right side, the left had a simple cartoon peach. Peach giggled, clipping the helmet onto her head before beginning the motorbike and being on her way.
~~~

"Peach! You're just so perfect!" Mei swooned, twirling her hair, Peach giggles cutely, a flush of pink on her cheeks.

MK was entirely confused on what happened. Pigsy gave him the day off, everything was going his way, the civilians were weird and kept saying the day was 'perfect', and now here he is third-wheeling for Mei and Peach's date.

While Mei had her hair down, and was wearing a plain hanfu, Peach was wearing the polka dot dress Mei had bought her, looking absolutely adorable.

MK would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of Mei keeping all of Peach's attention on her

MK would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of Mei keeping all of Peach's attention on her. Then again, he wasn't sure if anything what was happening was even real at the moment. It all feels like some sort of fever dream.

Sandy returned with Mo, holding a violin and began playing a slow, romantic song. MK slumped more in his seat as Mei took Peach's hand and led her in a dance.

This whole day so far felt like a mess. Apparently his staff was sealing away DBK and his family, Peach and Mei were also madly in love (jelly boi), and he was itching for a fight. He kept instinctually reaching to his ear for his staff, only to remember that it wasn't there.

Screw it.

He's getting his staff back.

~~~
"Pigsy's Noodles!" Peach arrived at a worn down building, that looked like an old, abandoned movie theatre.
"Over here." Peach looked to a hooded man who came around the corner. "And just on time too." He smirked.
"Oh. Uh, here you are!" Peach handed the mysterious man the bag of noodles.
"Heh, thanks hun." He reached into his pocket and pulled out the Yuan he needed before handing it to her. "66¥." (about 10$ us). "Plus 33¥ (5$) as a tip." Even though his face was shaded, Peach could make out a wink.
Flustered, she laughed awkwardly and thanked him with a smile, before returning to her bike and going off for the rest of her orders.
She's adorable...
~~~

"You couldn't find him?" Mei asked worriedly, Peach shook her head no. "It's like he just disappeared..." The blonde woman sighed dejectedly. Mei patted her back comfortingly.

"Peach, still got more orders. Maybe you'll be able to find MK in more spots." Pigsy handed her some more orders, and Peach nodded, worry changed to determination in an instant.

"I'll try my best, Pigsy. I promise."

~~~
"How you doing down there?"
MK turned excitedly, recognizing the voice. He sighed in relief. "Monkey King! Wait a minute. What are you doing here?" He asked.
Sun Wukong shrugged, chill about the whole situation. "Ah, you know. Hanging, chilling. Monkey Kinging around. Uh, anyway, enough about me. What's new with you? You seem agitated."
"Well, yeah. I mean, everyone's got dumb brain! Pigsy gave me the day off, and Mei said she... loves Peach. I think I'm going crazy." MK shuddered at the thought of Mei and Peach together, a twinge of jealously also shot at his heart.
"Ah, you're not crazy. This is all very normal. My power's just... so great. It's probably too much for your brain to handle. You're going to see some weird stuff. You've just gotta accept it." Monkey King said, waving off MK's concerns.
MK looked at the floor. "Accept it, huh?" He lamented. Wukong nodded. "Yeah, accept it. Apart from that love bit, it all sounds fine. Perfect. Uh, but you know, if you think about it, actually, maybe Peach and Mei would be... like a really—" He paused, noticing MK was gone. "MK? Gaw, dang it."
MK ran off while Monkey King was distracted (with shipping Peach and Mei, no less) to the spot he originally sought after. The hill. With Monkey King's—well, it's his now—staff inside, sticking out of the hill as the sun shone a golden light on it, almost as if it was calling out to MK.
"This is fine, this is fine. I can figure this out. I'm definitely not going crazy. It's everyone else that's going crazy. My staff!" He yelled out, happily gazing at his glorious staff.
"Hey, MK. What are you doing?" Mei and Peach, now donned in their normal attire, popped out of the blue, both speaking in unison. It was actually really creepy.
"Ugh, Peach, Mei. Uh, I was just gonna take the old staff for a spin." MK said, awkwardly pointing at his staff.
The two girls frowned. "Take it? You can't take it. If you do that, then the Demon Bull King will return!" Mei said. Peach nodded. "Yeah! And he'll destroy everything in his way too!"
"Leave the staff where it is, dude." Sandy added. "Oh, MK, you don't want that mean DBK to return, do you?" Tang pouted. "Why don't we just go back to the shop? I'll make us all a nice pot of noodles." Pigsy finished off.
The four towered over MK with creepy and intimidating smiles. MK turned, only to come face to face with Sun Wukong. "You can still have your perfect life." He sang.
"Yeah, we can all just hang out." That... that was Mo. Everyone paused, MK looking at the cat in a mix of awe and somewhat weird disgust.
"Jin. The cat's not meant to talk." Mei whispered to Pigsy in a odd sounding voice. "Yeah, jig's up. Let's get him!"
The group of now known fake versions of his friends all dog piled on him to keep him from taking the staff.
"Here... comes..." MK struggled to reach the staff.
Fake Tang grunted. "No." "He's too strong." Fake Sandy panicked. "Stop reaching." Fake Pigsy tried holding his arm back, but it was no use. "No." Fake Monkey King finalized.
Ignoring the words of his mentors faker, he reached even further. "...Monkie Kid!" He grabbed the staff. The fakers all screamed.
Then it all went white.
~~~

Back in the real world, MK successfully escaped the Calabash and finding two demons in the corner, trying to sneak off. "Who are you?" He asked.

The two demons smirked. "We're your worst nightmare. Jin." The golden one began, the silver one soon joined. "Yin."

"The Gold and Silver Demons!" Jin exclaimed. They did a weird pose of Jin on top of Yin. Said silver demon sighed frustratedly. "Mate, it's silver and gold. Silver and gold." He whispered.

"I'm not having this conversation again. It's gold and silver." Jin finalized, both getting into a physical fight over it.

"Okay, got it. You're demons. Uh, what am I doing here?" MK asked, kind of already fed up with them.

"We heard about the great Monkie Kid and knew that you would be a worthy adversary." Yin said smugly. Jin nodded in agreement. "Yes. And through cunning and guile, we called out to you, and you foolishly... answered."

~flashback~

"Who is it?" Jin asked in a high pitched voice.

MK responded immediately. "Pigsy's Noodles, home of the world's longest—"

"He has to answer to his name, remember?" Yin whispered insistently. "Oh, yeah." Jin whispered back, before clearing his throat. "This app thingy says you have to identify yourself. Is your name "MK"?"

"Uh, well, I'm currently going by MK, but it used to be—" He was cut off when the two demons opened the door and sucked him into the Calabash, trapping him inside.

~end of flashback~

"The Calabash was supposed to contain you forever!" The golden demon grumbled. "At least until we figured out step three." The silver demon added. Jin nodded. "Right. Uh, but instead, we'll have to destroy you the good old-fashioned way." The two demons got into a fighting stance.

MK sighed. "Fine." He said, before smirking and drawing out his staff, spinning it around before getting into a stance of his own. "I feel like a fight."

"Um, I think he knows we're bluffing." Jin muttered, scared. Yin muttered back to him. "Oh, I just figured out step three."

"SMOKE BOMB!" They threw down a smoke bomb, covering the entire room. They laughed as MK coughed. The smoke soon cleared to reveal that they both managed to escape outside.

"We're the greatest tricksters."

"Ever!"

~~~
"Um, Mei? Peach? Mr. Tang?" MK entered the noodle restaurant worriedly. Only to get glomped by Peach.
"Oh my goodness, MK! Thank the Star Sprites you're okay!" Peach tightened her hug, MK did to have time to mull whatever a 'Star Sprite' was, but he managed to wheeze out a "Too tight."
"Oh, I'm sorry. It's just— you've been missing the whole day, we were so worried."
"Where have you been, MK? I've got—" Pigsy stormed over, only to get cut off as MK squeezed his cheeks with his hands.
"Pigsy. Wait, is it?" He asked, almost in wonder. Pigsy growled. "If you don't get your hands off me, you're fired
"It is you. Oh-ho-ho-ho, my sweet Pigsy. Pigsy, it is you!" MK sobbed hysterically. Pigsy looked at Peach awkwardly.
"Uh, what's happening?" Peach shrugged.
"Sorry. It's just... I'm just really glad none of you are perfect." MK wiped his tears. There was silence until...
"What?!" The four all yelled out in anger.
"Well excuuuuse me, Princey! I've been looking for you all day and this is the thanks I get!?" Peach shrieked.
"What are you talking about? This job's the most perfect thing you're ever going to get!" Pigsy then yelled after, followed by Tang. "I so too am perfect. You've got dumb brain. That's what you've got!"
"Wow. I'm going to reset your Monkey Mech character. How about that?!" Mei held up her phone, showing the reset button for his Monkey Mech.
As the four continued yelling angrily, MK sighed in content. Happy with the chaos.
"Perfect..."
Chapter 10: ⭐️ - The Great Wall Race
Chapter Text
~~~

"Thanks again Mei, you're really the best!" Peach thanked again as she and Mei rolled up to the restaurant on their bikes.

Mei had generously spoiled Peach yet again and managed to get the blonde an amazing fix on her motor bike. Peach was very grateful that she heeded her wants.

She calls her new bike... "The Mach 2.0". Basically like the Mach Bike, but instead it's  here and not in the Mushroom Kingdom.

 Basically like the Mach Bike, but instead it's  here and not in the Mushroom Kingdom

Of course, there were some changes made. Such as the restaurant's logo was on the very front of the bike and the saddle bag as painted pink to match the bike, but aside from that, everything looked almost identical to the original.

"You're really good a designs Peach. It's very unique." Mei complimented as she hopped off her bike to grab cleaning supplies.

"Thanks. I really like how they made the designs too!" Peach grabbed the sponge Mei handed to her. "And if all goes well, I'll be able to participate in that race with you."

"Yeah! I'm so excited. I can't wait to race!" Mei and Peach began chatting about the upcoming 'Great Wall Race' as they cleaned up their bikes in preparation for said race.

A while later, MK had joined after his shift was over and began talking excitedly about the race as well.

"This is huge! Those other racers won't stand a chance!" He exclaimed. "Right? I know the track like the back of my hand! The back alleys, front alleys, sideway alleys. All the alleys! I was made for this!" Mei said in determination.

"It's so excited! I haven't raced in a while, but I hope I manage to win and beat you guys!" Peach declared. Mei laughed. "No way! I'm gonna win!"

"Yep! I'm totally gonna win this thing." The two ladies turned to MK, who wasn't even paying attention to their little racing rivalry.

"Wait, what? You're not racing. I'm racing. You've watched me trained for months! This should not be a surprise." Mei angrily stomped over to him.

"Oh, yeah, uh, I just thought you were doing that stuff for me." MK smiled nervously, Mei narrowed her eyes even more, making him shrink down scared. "But upon reflection, that doesn't make much sense."

"How would you even-? Ugh! There is no way you'd beat me." Mei said. MK scoffed. "Uh, I so too could beat you. I'm a delivery boy, pretty sure I know how to drive real good."

Soon, Tang exited the restaurant, a small flag in each hand. MK rushed up to him, Mei and Peach following.

"Mr. Tang, who's the better driver? Mei, or me?" He asked, before gasping dramatically. The flag in his right hand was Mei theme, the one in his left was Peach themed. Peach stared at the flag is her he was holding. When did he even get that?

Tang looked at her blushing, very flustered. "This is very uncomfortable." He managed to sputter out before dashing off somewhere.

MK groaned in annoyance. "Gah, whatever! I'm absolutely gonna win!"

"You don't even have something to race in MK, how are you going to beat us?" Peach interjected, hands on her hips. Mei added in a sassy "Yeah! How?"

MK smirked with a mischievous laugh. "Oh, I've got a vehicle."

~~~
The day of the race finally arrived, and the race was about to begin. Peach was making the final touches on her bike, making sure it wasn't sabotaged.
Instead of her regular outfit, she wore a biker outfit like her original one, except more decorative. It was a clean white with a pink gear on the back. She wore pink gloves and boots and the sleeves and pant legs gradients from white to peachy pink the closer they were to the gloves/boots. She also wore a handkerchief around her her neck and she decided to ditch her helmet, making her feel a bit left out as everyone else had theirs.
As she was working on the inside of the bike, a race car pulled up in the vacant spot next to her, she expected to see some new racer to meet, maybe even MK if he actually showed up, despite her and Mei's protests, but
As she was working on the inside of the bike, a race car pulled up in the vacant spot next to her, she expected to see some new racer to meet, maybe even MK if he actually showed up, despite her and Mei's protests, but...
"Pink Lady!?"
Oh no...
"Hot Head..." She said through gritted teeth as she glared at him. Red Son glared back. "What are you doing here!?" He demanded.
"What does it look like? I'm here for the race. What are you doing here?"
"I'm babysitting puppies—I'M RACING YOU PEASANT!"
"Hhhh you know what? If you don't bother me, I won't bother you. Let's leave our fighting for the actual race." Peach took a deep breath to calm herself down.
Red Son huffed. "Finally, you said something smart."
Oh she is so gonna kick his butt.
She heard a ruckus and looked over to its source. Seeing MK (oh my gosh he actually showed up >:T) with Mei, both in the middle of a heated argument when two demons arrived and began talking to MK. She only made out their names and the fact that they're now MK's self-proclaimed rivals.
Interesting.
Everything was fine for a while after that. The racers began to get into their starting positions and were doing final touches to their vehicles, when a giant shadow looked over everyone.
Peach turned to see a monster of a vehicle. In the drivers seat was... a bull? Sitting next to him was a woman in red with her black hair styled to match bull horns.
"Hello!" The woman greeting in a taunting way, waving at Red Son. "Mother, I thought you didn't want that 'stupid' peach." Red Son mimicked up at his mother.
"Well, we changed our mind." She sassed, sipping her drink before turning to Peach. "Ah! And the woman that threw you out the window. What a surprise." Red Son's mom glared at her, but also wore a very evil smirk. Peach shrunk down, awkwardly waving before turning away to hurriedly focus on finishing her bike.
Red Son continued bickering with his mother until the race was finally beginning to go underway.
"And there's some last minute entries as DBK and Iron Fan join the race!" The jumbo from screen showed the two that entered, as well as showing all of the racers who ran off when they arrived.
"Also, we're your new announcers, deal with it." Wow, sassy much? "Despite saying some things, we went ahead and altered the racetrack."
"WHAT!?" Everyone yelled out in shock. Crap...
"That's right, here's your start line, here's your finish line. Get there any way you like." The screen showcased the new start and finish.
"Racers, start your engines!" Everyone got into their respective vehicles and began getting ready, Peach began revving up for a start boost.
"On your marks!"
Blue sparks.
"Get set!"
Orange sparks.
"GO!"
"WHOOOOOOOO!" Peach yelled as she started off with a boost, wheelie-ing past everyone ahead.
"What the heck!? That was awesome!" Mei yelled as she chased behind the blonde. MK and Red Son went after as to not get run over by DBK and Iron Fan.
Peach smirked excitedly as she raced through the streets of the city that was beginning to grow on her.
She could hear the other readers behind her, from Mei's incredibly expensive bike, to MK's little rickety little tuk-tuk. Too bad they don't have blue shells ;).
"PINK LADY!!" Peach turned to see Red Son tailing behind her, an angry expression on his face.
(this art was so hard ;—;)
(this art was so hard ;—;)
"Oh, hi Hot Head! How's it going!?" She asked. "That was rhetorical, by the way!" She added. Red Son's mouth was open as he almost spoke, only for his hair to flare up in annoyance.
"UGH! You are the most annoying lady I've ever met!"
"I know!" Peach giggled and wheelied, speeding off and making Red Son flare in anger.
"ARGHH! Get back here!!!" Red Son slammed on the breaks, speeding up.
~~~

"Look at him go. That's adorable." Princess Iron Fan watched her son get agitated because of the sky woman, before speeding off after her in a competitive rage.

"I've never thought he would take interest in such an odd woman." Bull King admitted lowly. Iron Fan smirked. "He gets it from you."

Bull King was silent for a moment, before he looked at his wife with a weird face. "What's that supposed to mean."

Iron Fan just shrugged with a smug smile smile before sipping on her drink.

"Hah! It's a sharp right, you'll never be able to make the turn. Hahaha!" Red Son cackled madly as he took said right, intent on chasing after Peach.

"Heh, unassuming child. He's definitely into her." Was all Iron Fan said before pressing a button, activating some type of drill so the double-dashers could drill straight into the mountain ahead.

~~~
"My bike! MK!" Mei panicked. Her bike, as well as MK's tuk-tuk were completely demolished after their crash.
"I'm sorry Mei! This is all my fault. I really wanted to race with you and Peach, but I just ruined it." MK looked at the ground dejectedly.
Mei's anger was replaced with concern as she reached and placed a comforting hand on MK's shoulder. "Don't worry MK. I'm sure there's some way we can salvage this." Mei said, although that promise was empty, there was no way they could fix the problem before them.
"If only there was some mystic monkey power for this." MK muttered, before brightening up with a lightbulb idea. "That's it! We can use mystic monkey power! Hang on Mei!"
MK reached to his ear and pulled out the staff, enlarging and extending it to he shot up, a tight hand on Mei's.
The staff changed mid-air into the Monkey Mech, then changing again into a race car.
"Let's go!" Mei and MK smiled in determination, accelerating back into the race with intent to win.
~~~

Back with the ones in the lead, Peach was first, Red Son trailed close behind. Peach couldn't help but taunt him by snaking in front of him, not only giving her mini-boosts, but also keeping him from drifting behind her.

"What's got you going so slow, Hot Head!? Can't take the heat?" Peach laughed maniacally.

Okay, maybe this race was getting to her...

Red Son just growled, taking her taunts head on, knowing she was just doing so to get a reaction out of her. Peach pouted at the lack of rage, but she knew she was under his skin.

Sighing, she went back to focusing on the race at hand. I'm her opinion, as much as making fun of Red Son was entertaining, the race was... sort of boring.

The race was simply in a big city with adverts and lights, it reminds her a lot of Moonview Highway and Mushroom Ridge, with a little mix of Neo Bowser City.

She was so busy with MK, Mei and Pigsy that she totally forgot to try sightseeing in the city, just now realizing how big and pretty it looked.

"DON'T IGNORE ME!"

Peach yelped in surprise after almost getting rammed into the barriers that protected the spectators from the racers. She sped forward, dodging Red Son.

She went back to the middle of the road, dodging every attempt made by the fiery demon.

Then, she heard muffled screaming from the distance. She saw a shadow loom over the two, making them look behind. Only to see a sleek gold and red race car. When she squinted she saw... MK and Mei!?

They double-dashed without her :,(???

Sad.

Peach managed to wheelie to gain a dodge boost. But Red Son wasn't so lucky, both cars crashing and the pieces of each vehicle blew off the models, only to slow and return to its original state, Red Son now stuck with the yellow and green duo before he was tossed out by Mei.

"I'M NOT GOING DOWN THAT EASILY!" Peach yelled.

The race definitely changed her mindset.

"Peach can be really scary when she wants to..." MK muttered, scared. Mei nodded in silent agreement.

The duo slowly caught up to her and competitive Peach panicked.

She could really go for an item.

Unconsciously, her magic activated a singular red shell. Notorious as the heat-seeking missiles of Mario Kart. Aside from the beloved blue shell, of course.

"Haha! WHAT. IS. THAT!?" Mei yelled in hysteria. The poor dragon girl was so lost.

"Sorry guys! Nothing personal!" She tossed the red shell back. They tried dodging, but the shell simply followed, hitting them dead on.

Finally, emerging from the mountain, came Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan, both looking incredibly miffed with being in last place. They landed from the mountain, onto the track, only to yell in sock as Mei and MK slammed right into their car, destroying both.

Peach laughed in triumph as she passed the finish line.

"And that's the race! Miss.Peach is the winner!" The crowds all cheers. Some overlooking the strange red shell, others theorizing on its origins.

As the racers that were out approached the podiums. There was only Peach on the 1st place stand, being handed a gold, peach shaped trophy from the demon announcers.

She took the trophy gratefully, whispering a 'thank you' to them, before holding the trophy high above her head. The crowd cheered again.

While Mei and (surprisingly) PIF were applauding and being polite about her win, DBK simply huffed and crossed his arms. Red Son simmered in his rage next to them, while MK...

"OW! My teef!" MK held his mouth as he bit down on the trophy. Peach gasped. "Oh my stars! MK! You can't just bite a trophy!" Peach fretted worriedly over the poor successor.

She could hear PIF and DBK laughing at his misery.

"But, I thought it was a stone fruit." MK mumbled sadly.

Mei began laughing, rolling on the floor too. "Come on guys! It's not actually a peach of immortality!" She managed to say.

MK sputtered as he held up the poster. "But- but it says—!"

"It says— right here on the poster!" Red Son pointed to is own poster in confusion.

"Aha! Ahahah! It says you'll get immortality by having your picture projected on the Great Wall!" Peach giggled, pointing above her to show a picture of her, Mei and MK.

The blonde was holding up her trophy like before, only this time, it caught the moment where MK had bitten into it, Mei laughing in the background.

"Oh, so the peach... is a metaphor? OHH kay." MK realized.

Red Son sputtered out "Ajakhs I KNEW THAT! You think you're so—!" before screaming in anger, he teleported in front of everyone and yelled "PEASANTS!" Before storming off to the remains of his race car.

"What a fool..." DBK growled. PIF sighed. "Kids these days." She sipped her drink before turning to face Peach. "Congratulations on your win. Unfortunately, it may be your last one. We do not intend to lose to you again, sky lady."

Peach pursed her lips. "Is that a challenge or a threat?" She squeaked out. PIF shrugged. "Take it however you will. Now, come along darling." PIF took DBK's hand and led him to whatever was left of their car as well since MK's car was de-summoned.

"Wow Peach. I have no idea what that turtle shell was, but it was so cool!" Mei beamed.

"Thanks. I used to race a lot back home, and me and my friends all came up with gadgets to use during them. One just so happened to be a shell like that." Peach jumped off the podium and gathered back her new trophy. It wasn't dented or harmed, but it was covered in MK spit that she would have to clean (ew :/)

"Congrats anyways Peach! We should celebrate!" MK declared. "Oh, no that's not my necessary!" Peach tried to reason, but MK and Mei ignored her and grabbed both wrists, pulling her off, maybe back to Pigsy's.

"Alright! Leggo!"

~~~
"There we go!" Peach finished cleaning the trophy with disinfectant and placed it on a shelf in her room, the light from the window reflecting off of it, leaving a golden glow in the room.
"What do you think, Mr.Fluff-Butt?" Peach looked over to the tank the spider was in. Watching it bounce from side to side as if it were doing a victory dance.
(full body of Mr
(full body of Mr.Fluff-Butt 🥺🥺🥺)
"Hehe! Thanks Fluff." She pat his adorably fluffy, purple head before turning off her bedroom light and turning the humidifier back on for Mr.Fluff-Butt, then retreating to bed for the night.
"Good night Mr.Fluff-Butt."
Impossible Delivery
Chapter 11: ⭐️ - Impossible Delivery
Chapter Text
~~~

The day started off normal enough. Get out of bed, get dressed, eat breakfast with and feed Mr.Fluff-Butt, and get down to work.

"MK's with Monkey King again?" Peach deadpanned as Pigsy handed her the bags of noodle orders. "Yeah, he left even earlier than normal just to get down to training." He answered gruffly. "He should be starting up his shift soon." The pig demon answered gruffly.

Peach nodded in understanding before grabbing her keys and helmet. "Well, guess that means I should get started then. I'll be back!"

~~~
One such order took her back to that abandoned theatre that housed the mysterious hooded man (with the very handsome voice). She noticed a note on the front door.
Noodle Girl,
Knock on the side door in the alleyway, that's the door next to my office, so I normally answer that one.
Thank you,
Mac
'Mac', huh? Let's just hope he won't sucker punch her like a certain other Mac. There was an arrow at the bottom of the note so she went to the left alleyway.
She rounded the corner and into the shady darkness, the only light being from some coloured lights from small billboards with advertisements on them.
She knocked on the door and waited a bit, awkwardly looking around the alleyway, before the door was answered a crack, the hooded man standing behind the door.
"Pigsy's Noodles!"
"Ah, wonderful." He smirked. He handed her the money needed, as well as a tip and she gave him his noodles.
"You know, you're actually kinda cute for a delivery girl, you know?" Mac flirted. Peach flushed pink, and his voice certainly didn't help.
"Ah— um, thank you? Thanks." Peach stammered. She wasn't used to people flirting with her. Sure, there was Bowser and his compliments, but that was different because that's Bowser and he kidnapped her again.
"Thanks again, peaches." He smirked wider and winked before shutting the door.
Peach felt like her poor heart was going to beat out of her chest.
...
Her shadow is weird...
~~~

"Hey, uh, MK. You mind explaining to me why I have two hundred orders of noodles that haven't been delivered yet?!" Peach heard Pigsy yell as she entered the noodle restaurant.

"I thought Peach was gonna do it?" MK side hugged Peach awkwardly, who just gave him an 'are you kidding me' stare.

"I already took up your whole shift this morning, so no." Peach pushed MK off and sat next to Tang, MK pouted.

"Distraction. That's your greatest weakness, MK. You need to follow through on the task at hand. Understand?" He explained before turning back to MK, expecting some type of response, but instead, he was tapping away at his phone.

"Huh?" MK hummed, confused. Pigsy threw a wooden spoon at his head. "That's it. I'm done. It's over. Pack your bags. You're outta here."

MK gasped. "What?! Give me another chance. Please. I-I can do better!" The successor pleaded on his knees.

They were interrupted when Pigsy got a short call. He spoke to the other end for a few seconds before hanging up and turning back to MK. "Fine. One more chance. But, if you slip up, even a little bit- Well, the Deliverybot 9000 is surprisingly affordable." He showed the Deliverybot 9000 on his phone.

MK's breath hitched. "No! I'm not gonna let you down, Pigsy. I'm gonna have to focus, like I've never focused before." He said, before grabbing some orders and dashing off.

"He delivers noodles literally every day. How is this suddenly..." Pigsy sighed in frustration. Peach pat his shoulder. "I'll follow after him."

Pigsy smiled gratefully.

~~~
Peach followed after MK on his bike. MK didn't know how to feel about his co-worker/crush following after him to make sure he did his job, but he wasn't totally opposed to her lurking presence.
"Okay, do just like Monkey King said. Focus. Take everything in. Lamppost. Street sign. Amazing awesome arcade, filled with the best stuff in the universe." MK stopped himself before getting completely distracted. "Ugh, no! I have to focus. Focus!" He bonked himself on the head.
"I win!" A man cheered from the arcade.
MK buzzed before rushing into the arcade.
"Dang it, there he goes." Peach grumbled before chasing after him. Of course as soon as she's finding someone, the arcade becomes a type of neon maze to hide him.
Peach growled, trying to follow MK's star aura. She ran around before landing herself on the dance floor, allowing anti-gravity to take her.
She spotted MK near some arcade cabinets and went off again.
"No, no, no, no! I got distracted! Pigsy is totally gonna fire me! That's it. No more distractions." MK finalized.
"Dang straight." MK yelped as Peach appeared as a looming shadow behind him, before she took his arms and shook him around.
"GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME, MK!" She screamed
"GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME, MK!" She screamed.
"Okay okay! Just sto-o-o-p shaking me-e-e!" Peach stopped and pulled him back to the exit.
"Hey, um, I got some more tokens—." Peach pushed the token basket away, making it fall on the floor.
"No! We have a job to do!" She left the arcade and tossed MK back in the tuk-tuk before getting on her bike.
"I feel like some glorified babysitter, MK! Come on!"
MK nodded, determined, before starting up the tuk-tuk and dashing off, Peach trailing behind him.
~~~

"What is going on?! I can't let Pigsy and Peach down." MK looked in his side mirror, seeing Peach still following him. He sighed solemnly. "I just need to concentrate. Just make up for lost time. I can do it. Nothing is gonna stop me."

As if in perfect timing, MK got hit in the face with a soccer ball.

"Hey, watch it!" MK growled, tossing the ball back to the kids, who looked down sadly. "Jeepers. Sorry, mister. Hey, you want to play? We need someone else so we could have a proper game." The kids offered.

MK smiled a bit. "Aw. I really wish I could, but...but if I do..." He trailed off, imagining himself being replaced by the Deliverybot 9000 and disappointed Peach. He shook his head. "I have to make this delivery! You all just want to trick me into staying here forever! I'm not falling for it." He laughed maniacally as he drove off.

One of the kids picks up the ball, and drop their glamor, revealing to be demons in disguise. "How did you think he knew that we were going to imprison him forever?" The green demon wondered, the others shrugged.

"Who knows." The red demon answered. The purple demon pointed to Peach. "Oh, look. Here comes another one."

The green demon prepared to throw the ball, but Peach just zoomed past them, covering them in the rainwater and mud from last nights storm.

"Rude."

~~~
"No. No. Noooo! No, no!" MK panicked as he ended up in a street of food stalls. The farmers market. He stopped at one. "Hi, can I get a large—." He cut himself off and just drove off. "Dang it! Ugh, come on, MK! You fought deadly demons! Survived active volcanos! Faced Pigsy's breath on a Monday! You could easily cover over 5,000 blocks in eleven minutes. I can do this." MK sighed, stopping at a fork in the road.
One past was bright with the setting sun, the other was a dreary looking forest. Peach rolled up behind him, looking between the two paths.
"Hmm, maybe we should take—." She was about to point to the left path that was covered in the golden sun, but MK cut her off. "I think we all know what the obvious choice here is." He got back in his tuk-tuk and drove to the right, in the creepy nightmare forest. Peach sighed tiredly before going after him.
The more they went into the forest, the more unnerving it became. Peach swore to the stars above that she saw the boney remains of an actual human.
MK slowed to a stop and Peach could see him panicking. Her determination to complete the deliveries turned into worry for her friend as he began hyperventilating.
"MK! Don't focus on the scary parts! Focus on the end goal!" Peach yelled out form behind. She could see MK calm down slightly.
"Right. Focus. Remember what Monkey King said. Take everything in, and focus on one thing only." He muttered as he looked around the forest, becoming scared again as he pointed out the trees with scary faces, the bats and other dark animals, and the human remains.
Then he screamed and drove off.
Peach quickly drove after him, at this point, not even caring about the noodles, much too worried for MK.
They drove through the forest until they came upon the end of the train, which was shining under the setting sun. MK laughed in relief.
"Are you okay MK? I was worried you were having some panic attack." Peach drove up next to him. The successor only sighed and rubbed his eyes. "I'm fine. But check out that view."
The blonde followed where he looked. The path was on a cliff, overlooking the forest they just exited from, the sea of trees expanded to the horizon, with the sun half-way set down.
"Oh wow, that's so pretty." Peach whispered in awe. MK snickered. "What's so funny."
"Got you distracted there for a second, heh." MK smiled brightly.
How cute...
Peach laughed along. "Haha! Guess you did. Now how about we finish off these deliveries, eh?" MK nodded in agreement and the two set off to the destination.
They arrived in a short time, but the location was blocked off by a stone wall. That didn't stop MK, as he grabbed the order and ran through the wall, smashing a hole through it.
"Pigsy's Noodles!" He cheered. Peach gasped as she looked through the hole, seeing how the large stone slab hit the customer, only to sigh in relief when the stone broke, revealing the customer to be the Monkey King.
"You finally made it." He smiled. MK gasped. "Monkey King? Wait. This was all a lesson to see if I could focus!" The successor declared.
Sun Wukong's smile became awkward at that and he sweated nervously. "Uh...yes! I wanted to teach you a valuable lesson. I definitely didn't just order three helpings of noodles to my shame temple."
Peach face palmed.
"You were right. I really was, honestly, terrible at focusing. But then..." MK trailed off. Wukong took the noodles from MK. "I'm just gonna take those off ya." MK just continued. "...everything, but I only focused on one thing: delivering...your...noodles!"
Peach clapped at that with a smile. Wukong laughed. "That's great, bud. Proud of you. But...this isn't my order." He held the bag awkwardly.
"WHAT!?" MK and Peach yelled out. "Seriously!? Have you been giving people the wrong orders this whole time!?" Peach panicked.
"Uhh... I dunno?" MK shrugged nervously. Peach looked to the ground, questioning her life choices. "Oh, we are soooo dead."
~~~

"It may not be my order, but it's delicious!" Wukong complimented as he ate the noodles.

Instead of complaining like a normal customer would, Monkey King just invited MK and Peach into his shame temple to eat the noodles they had given him instead.

The cliff they were on was on the opposite side of the cliff they had driven on, now overlooking the city instead of the forest. The sun hadn't finished setting yet, but Peach could make out the night sky peeking over the city skyline.

"What a crazy day, huh?" MK muttered out. Peach giggled. "Tell me about it, it's like chaos follows you everywhere." As Peach and Wukong laughed, MK pouted childishly and continued eating his noodles.

Crazy day indeed.

Why does her shadow seem so weird...?

Chapter Text

At the Flaming Foundry, Bull Clones continue to dig up the tomb. The Bull Clones noticed a blue spirit as they hear a whisper, then came an explosion, causing the Bull Clones to be blown back. Princess Iron Fan walks up to the tomb next to her husband.

"Another infernal obstacle keeping me from my destiny!" Bull King roared in frustration. Iron Fan pat his hand lovingly. "Patience, my love."

Bull King ripped his hand away from hers to fully face her, growling in anger. "I've been patient long enough. I need that power!" He yelled at her.

Iron Fan looked at him in shock for a second, before glaring at him and approaching the tomb, placing her hands on the lock and reciting a spell. There was a beat of silence before she sighed and removed her hands.

"The power that crafted this tomb is beyond my skill. Without an artifact of equal strength, there is nothing we can do. We're locked out." She exclaimed.

Before Bull King could throw another fit, Red Son came to to them with some holographic panels. "Not for long! All we need is a key and look what I found." He swiped over the panels to reveal an oddly shaped key with a skull topper. They all looked at it before smirking evilly.

"Thank you for this amazing turnout." The Mayor smiled brightly as he stood at a podium in Pigsy's noodle shop, the only ones there were him, MK, Mei, Peach, Pigsy and Tang.

"Woo-hoo! Let's hear it for Monkie Kid! Hero of the city!" Mei cheered. Peach clapped politely while everyone else just sat and watched.

"As mayor, I hereby give Monkie Kid the key to our fair city." The Mayor turned to face MK, his body moved first then his head. His are awkwardly extended the key out, almost as if he didn't want to let it go.

Despite that, he let MK grab the key anyways. It was shaped weirdly, little gold pieces stick out like some odd puzzle and it had a golden skull with blue eyes for a topper.

"Um, uh, what does this key do, exactly?" MK asked, gingerly holding the key in both hands, afraid to see if he would break it.

The Mayor smirked with a laugh as placed his elbow on the podium, leaning to the side. "Oh, you'll love this. It has the power to open anything!"

"Ooh, anything? Like a pet shop full of puppies?" Mei excitedly asked, jumping onto the podium and forcing The Mayor to lean away from her.

The Mayor's grin widened as he gently moved Mei off the podium. "Yes. Or the door to a lion's cage, or an orphan's piggy bank, an imprisoned mistic power source." He explained creepily, before shaking his head to snap out of his moment. "Whatever you like! Today, you can do no wrong. You've got my permission. 'Cause I'm the mayor!" The Mayor laughed maniacally before poofing away in a blue smoke cloud.

Mei leaned against the podium, looking at the spot quizzically, before facing to MK. "Huh. I'm starting to think, that's maybe not the mayor." She said, shaking her head.

"You think?" Peach deadpanned as she looked at the key, her eyes narrowed dangerously. She didn't trust that key, and after getting a better look at the Mayor, she didn't trust him either. A key that can open anything is bound to just be trouble.

"Wow. A key that can open anything." MK muttered out in awe, staring at the key with sparkles in his eyes.

Then MK dragged Mei out of the restaurant, thankfully noticing how Peach didn't want to get caught up in skeleton key shenanigans.

"Those two... whatever, guess you'll be taking over deliveries again." Pigsy sighed tiredly as he want to the back.

Peach groaned. "Great..."

~~~
The next day, Peach had hope that MK and Mei had come down from their 'i can do anything i want with this ultimate key' high. But guess not.
"Pigsy? What happened? Peach's asked as she opened up the restaurant from the inside. Pigsy grumbled as he entered, putting his sweater onto a coat hook.
"I think MK and Mei locked the door with that skeleton key." He deduced angrily. Peach inhaled sharply at that.
Far off, in the distance, she could hear some laughter from the shadows. No doubt it was the chaotic duo laughing at Pigsy's misery.
Peach exited the shop to approach the two. "I wish we had this key all the time. I don't think I've had this much fun in forever." MK admitted.
Just as she was going to stomp over to scold them, their apartment above the restaurant blew a wall out. The smoke cleared to reveal the culprit, arms crossed and smug smirk.
Red Son.
"WHAT THE HECK!" Peach screeched out loud, spooking the two who hadn't noticed her there. She just stared in shock. Head empty, no thoughts.
"Noodle boy, finally!" Red Son's evil smirked widened
"Noodle boy, finally!" Red Son's evil smirked widened. Mei grit her teeth. "What are you doing in Peach and MK's house!?" She yelled out.
"You better not have touched my stuff!" MK added. "YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT THAT!?" Peach's mind was racing. Their apartment was blown up and he was worried about Red Son touching stuff??
"Do you know how long I've been waiting here for you? Your house is... depressing. I almost feel bad taking things from you, buuut I'm going to need that magic key." Using his powers, Red Son was able to snag the key from MK. "Yoink! So long, noodle boy!"
"Oh no, the key!" MK yelled out in despair as Red Son entered his car and made his getaway.
"We need to go!" Mei ran off, immediately hopping onto her motorcycle and chasing after the Hot Head. MK nodded in agreement and vaulted with his staff to catch up.
Peach sighed. She seriously would need a nap later. Climbing into the apartment, she checked up on Mr.Fluff-Butt first, who was thankfully okay, shaken up by the explosion, but was relatively unharmed.
Peach could sense traces of some type of protection magic in her room. Had Red Son placed that? She shook her head, putting herself back on track. Grabbing Perry, she went and climbed to the roof of the apartment before running off to MK, who was easily seen due to how high he was.
"Perry! We need to find Red Son, now!" Peach opened up Perry, who let out some excited noises before she ran off, floating and using Perry to fly up higher.
~~~

"Stop wiggling!" Red Son screamed in frustration. Mei chuckled. "Does it get boring? Us beating you all the time? You know we're going to get that key back, right?" She taunted, but yelped as she crashed into metal remnants of Red Son's car after transforming.

Red Son laughed. "So long, Dragon Horse Girl! Here's a tip, next time pick one animal and-!" He was cut off when MK's staff slammed itself into the hood of his car, effectively stopping him.

"So, looks like you reach the end of the line, Red Son. What are you even going to do with this anyway?" MK asked, Peach landed slowly, holding her head high.

"Why spoil the surprise? Now hand the key over and quick wasting my time." Princess Iron Fan appeared, her hand out to take the key from Red Son, who simply laughed at them. "Thanks for the key, losers!"

And they teleported off in a whirlwind, leaving the trio behind.

"Did they get away with the key?" Mei blurted out. Everything went by so fast, she could barely keep track.

MK fell on the ground. "Yeah. But what I can't figure is...why?"

"A key like that is dangerous, if it can open anything then we need to keep on guard until they come back." Peach stated. The other two nodded.

~~~
They returned back to normalcy after that. Well, about as normal as you can get while the impending doom of that key is possibly lurking on the horizon. Then again, that probably won't come to kick them in the butt in a while, so they tried to keep calm about it.
Obviously, Peach and MK could no longer stay in their ruined apartment. Well, Peach could still, but she felt bad the MK couldn't, so she and Mr.Fluff-Butt agreed along with him and Mei as they were invited over to stay at said dragon girls house until their apartment was fixed.
"We heard about your current situation from Mei. You two can stay as long as you need." Mrs.Dragon said with a smile.
"Thanks a lot." Peach thanked gratefully, MK nodded along. "Of course, anything for Mei-Mei's friends." Mr.Dragon stroked his moustache.
Mei flushed pink in embarrassing. "Dad! Not in front of my friends!" She huffed as Mr.Dragon chuckled, patting her head.
"Supper will be out soon. Can you show your friends to the guest rooms Mei?" Mei nodded immediately. "Yep! You got it." She grabbed MK and Peach before rushing out of the main entrance.
