    Summary

Fate is known as an achingly cruel but inevitable thing within all the Seven Kingdoms of Enrai. Mitu, a young but persistent peasant, living in the penry that thrives in the Kingdom of Lilthner, the last and least accounted for kingdom of Enrai, despises the nerve of fate and rejects the theory altogether. She wants nothing more than to erase her fate and climb towards her own willful desires. But no matter her ambitious spirit and resilience, her father insists and even demands that no such desires exist, especially for a woman. Mitu knows that he is wrong, knows that fate itself is wrong. But she cannot prove it, let alone escape it.

“My lady, know me as Diedra Strykneil."

In comes the Dame who's will is, if not more, than just as strong as Mitu's. She comes to Lilthner with a goal, a purpose, one she has suffered tremendously for. One Mitu suspects is more than she claims.

A tenacious and willful towns girl bound to her fate meets the one person with the ability to free her. A witty but cryptic Dame with an agonizing past meets the one person with the ability to free her.

The two get closer on their journey, and start to wonder: Is it really just fate if we're in control of what happens?
